Chapter 7 (Feelings)

Lisa's POV:

It's been a month when that kiss incident happened. Jennie and I didn't talk about it and we're back to normal. No one knows it except the two of us. In the first three days, awkwardness is there but after a week, it seems that nothing happened.We're currently here in the classroom and waiting for our professor. Jennie is outside as usual in the corridor when someone approaches her.

"Alone? " the guy asked

"Ahm. Yeah! ".Jennie replied

" I'm Kai, btw. Jennie right? "

"yes! How did you know?"

"I've been seeing  you from apart since day 1, I just got an act of courage to talk to you today and introduce myself, nice meeting you "

Kai extended his hand for a handshake. Lisa blocks Jennie's hand and shakes her hand instead.

"Lisa".Kai was surprised.

"Let's go, Jen." Lisa grabs her hand and drags Jennie.

Jennie was still confused about Lisa's actions.

"Where are we going ".Jennie asked

"Cafeteria? I think I'm hungry ".Lisa answered

"Why do you need to drag me along the way, can't you go alone? "Jen is a bit irritated because of Lisa's actions.

"Sorry, okay. It's just. I really wanted to eat something but the girls are busy. You're the only one I saw who's free that's why I drag you instead. But if you're not okay with it you can go back to our classroom. I'll eat alone then".Lisa explained coldly

"C'mon I'll come with you ".Jennie held Lisa's hand

Lisa smiled but didn't show it to Jennie.

After a minute, they go back to the classroom.

"Where have you been? "Jisoo asked

"Canteen? We just ate".Lisa answered while going back to her seat.

The professor entered the room and shared some announcement

The school will be competing for a dance competition, so the dance department is currently looking for good dancers. They will be having the audition on Friday afternoon. For those who will successfully get in the audition and will be part of the dance department, I will exempt that student on the upcoming first prelim exam. The top 6 will compete in the dance competition outside the school.

Everyone was amazed by the announcement.

"Are you joining? " Jisoo whispered to Lisa but the latter just shrugs her shoulder and leaves her a blank expression.

Seulgi: As much as we want to join but we're not that good at dancing. They actually just announced it which is 2 days before the audition. How can someone practice and memorize the dance steps in just 2 days?

Irene: I think they did that on purpose. Only excellent dancers will have the courage to audition given on the little time for them to prepare.

Lisa remembered what Bambam told her a few weeks back. She really wants to go back to dancing. It's here passion. She's now thinking if she will audition or not. She doesn't care about the exemption, she can pass that exam even not reviewing. She just really want to dance again. In front of many people. In front of Jennie. No one knows that she's good at dancing here in school except Jisoo and Bambam.

Where they will be holding the dance audition?  Jennie asked

Irene: Are you going to audition?

Jennie: No, I want to watch. I love watching that kind of show.

Lisa heard their conversation. Now, she has a plan.

--8 PM

Jisoo and Lisa are currently watching a  kdrama in Lisa's room.

Lisa: Unnie, I have to tell you something. This is a secret.

Jisoo: What's that?

Lisa: It's about Jennie ( she's assured that Jisoo can keep a secret, the two of them had a 100ths of secrets since kids)

Jisoo: Yah! I'm getting nervous. What about Jennie?

Lisa: we kissed.

Jisoo: what?!!! Jisoo's Christ!!  Jinjja?  Are you serious? When?  Where?  How?

Lisa: you're overreacting, come down. And one at a time question, please.

Jisoo: Okay! Tell me a more detailed one.

Lisa recalls what happened a month ago. It seems that it's nothing but the truth is it's bothering her every day. She's so confused. She kissed a lot of girls and guys too in the past but she didn't feel the same way that she's feeling right now. That's why she decided to open up to Jisoo.

Jisoo: You're in love.

Lisa: Huwaaaaat?!  What are you talking about, Unnie?

Jisoo: Just admit it, Lisa. Just ask her if she's feeling the same. She responded to the kiss it means she also likes it. The way Jennie also stare or cares for you it's like there's something on it. Do you know what I mean? Her treatment to you is different from how she treated us. C'mon Seulgi and Irene also noticed it. It's just we don't want to assume.

Lisa: Aishh! I don't know what to do... I'll just sleep so I can think properly. Goodnight, Unnie. She kisses the older on cheeks.

Jisoo: You're so clingy as a koala! Just sleep. Ask her. You will not know the answer if you will not ask her. I don't want the time to come that you will regret not knowing her answer. If she likes you back then good for you. If she doesn't like you back then move on. At least you know the answer instead of overthinking there and regretting it when the time comes.

What Jisoo said keeps on repeating and echoing on Lisa's mind.

Little did she know that Jennie feels the same as what she feels.

Jennie has a crush on her.

Jisoo heard Jennie one time talking over the phone to her friend named Nikki. She didn't mean to hear it. It's an accident. Jisoo just kept it on herself that's why she's surprised when Lisa confessed regarding her feelings towards, Jennie. She doesn't want to tell to Lisa. She doesn't want to spoil them. It's better if it will be coming from Jennie. She doesn't want to give high hopes to Lisa. What if she just misunderstood what she heard? Jennie can only answer everything.

--FRIDAY

The dance audition came. The girls are talking about watching the audition later while they're hanging out on their favorite cafe.

Lisa is not listening to them. She's been watching a video on her phone since earlier nonstop.

Seulgi: Lisa!  What are you watching? Are you watching porn that's why you're attention is not with us? We're asking if you will join us later watching the audition?

Lisa: No!!

Seulgi: what do you mean no?

Lisa: I mean I ain't watching porn. And I'll see if I can join you later.

Jennie: Wae?  Where are you going? Do you have any prior commitment that we didn't know?

Lisa: Aniya. I'm just tired. I think I want to sleep later that's it.

Irene: you sound suspicious, Manoban.

--4 PM

Everyone gathered in the auditorium for the dance audition. Joy, Irene, Seulgi, Jisoo, and Jennie positioned near the stage. It's like 5 rows away from the stage. But Lisa is nowhere to be found.

Jennie: Where's Lisa?

Jisoo: I don't know, maybe she went home already

Jennie: She didn't inform us?

Jisoo: Didn't answer *shrugged but she has an idea already why Lisa is nowhere to be found*

The audition starts now. A lot of students tried their luck but the judges are so picky.

Joy: Is that Kai? He's our classmate right?

Jennie: Yeah it's him. I didn't know that he's good at dancing. But I saw him yesterday practicing so I'm expecting that he will be joining.

Irene: wow!  He's in, judges picked him.

For the 100 candidates who auditioned only, 5 was chosen. It's the best of the best.

Seulgi: I think it's done already. Shall we go?

The emcee suddenly announced. There's still one candidate who wants to audition.

Seulgi: Oh not yet. There's still one. Hay. That last auditioner is just wasting her energy. For sure judges will say no. They're too picky. Wait! That girl is familiar!

The girls looked shocked and look at each other's reactions.

Seriously!?? For real??
