03 : Work Calls
07:45, 27 June 2024A Week Later"Elisa." Someone cooed. "Elisa it's 10. The sun is up."
"No." I huffed and cuddled to their waist as I laid on their lap.
He chuckled. "Elisa I have to go." My heavy eyes fluttered opened and I looked up. "Good morning." Logan brushed the hair from my face.
I smiled tiredly. "Did you stay like that the whole night?" Logan smiled, I sat up. "You could have woke me."
"I didn't want to." He said softly but eyed me worriedly. "You were sleeping peacefully."
I smiled softly. "Thank you then."
Logan sat up slowly and lifted my chin. "Are you alright?" My brows furrowed.
{I need food.} Scream growled. {It's been to long.}
(Shit.)"Oh. I'm fine." I moved away from the delicious looking man. "It's a genetic thing that happens once in a while." I stood up and walked to the kitchen. "Do you want breakfast?"
"Darling." Logan turned me around and looked over me. "You should go to a healer."
I smiled. "I'm alright. Did you want breakfast?"
Logan sighed. "I have to go before my job worries about my absence." I nodded, he lifted my chin and kissed my lips. "Promise me you will see a healer today."
"I will. But I promise this will go away by tomorrow morning. Or tonight. Whichever comes first." I smiled.
Logan smiled softly and lowered his hand from my chin. "I still want you to go to a healers. Mortals tend to be fragile."
I rolled my eyes. "Well this mortal is stronger than most." Logan smiled, I leaned forward and pecked his lips. "Go now before I lock you away with me forever."
Logan nodded. "I will find you when I am free."
"Don't you have a phone?"
He shook his head. "I unfortunately misplaced mine."
"Maybe I can help you find it." I grabbed onto his arm. Logan grinned with a chuckle, I smiled. "Make sure you eat something. No matter how old you get you are still growing and you need the nutrition."
"Yes, darling." Logan smiled softly. "I shall visit again as soon as I'm free."
"Then maybe..." I moved passed him... "Spare keys?" I mumbled.
{Front closet on a hook.}
"Oh." I walked to the front closet and looked inside to a wall hook where a extra set of keys was. "Thank you." I whispered.
{I need food before I eat your insides.}
I sighed and turned to Logan with the keys held up, he looked them and raised a brow. "What is that for?"
I smiled and walked to him. "Spare keys to my apartment." I held them out.
Logan hesitantly took them. "Why?" He looked at me with a surprised look.
I smiled softly. "I've known you for two years and now we are dating." I shrugged. "I trust you." Logan gaze softened. "You don't have to keep them if you don't want. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
Logan smiled softly. "I will gladly take the keys to your home." I smiled, he leaned forward and kissed me again, I kissed back. (My heart flutters every time.)Logan broke the kiss and smiled. "I really must go." He leaned our foreheads together.
I smiled. "You know where to find me."
Logan smiled softly. "I'll be back." He gave me one more kiss and went to pull away but I trapped him to deepen it.
Logan's arm wrapped around my waist and his hand behind my head, my lips parted and his tongue searched my mouth. (Don't go.)
{He needs to leave.}
(I hate you right now Scream.)I broke the kiss. "Go before I dont let you." I panted, trying to get my breath back.
Logan pulled away but gave me a kiss before he departed from my personal space. "See a healer." I nodded, Logan smiled softly. "Goodbye, darling."
I smiled like a girl talking to a crush. "Bye, handsome." Logan winked and walked out the door, my breath shuttered and I slid down the wall. "Oh, my god." I said giddily.
{Elisa!}
My eyes widened. "Oh." I ran to the freezer and took out the tub of chocolate ice cream. "Tonight. I promise tonight you get to have freedom. Just wait a little longer." I started to eat the sugary substance.
•=•=•=•=•=• Lokis POV •=•=•=•=•=•
Four years ago I was defended by the pathetic mortal Avengers in a war I did not care about...
Three years ago mother died and....I have been kept on Midgard since the battle of the Dark Elves...The pathetic planet of mortals seemed to be the only escape other than death...
Two years ago I planned on escaping this planet or at least the clutches of Stark but then a flower caught my eye... and I was trapped like a bee yearning for honey.
And now I have that flower in my clutches and I don't want to let her go. A mortal. One of the pathetic creatures of this planet has stolen something special from me.
No matter how much she talks I never find it bothersome. Now matter how fidgety she is, either with the beads on a string she always carry's or the new addition of my fingers which makes me feel relaxed. I don't mind. How she forgets everything but then catches herself and I find that cute.
She's perfect, maybe mother sent her...
I don't deserve anyone like Elisa. She will wither away and not because of her mortal self. I'm toxic. I bring death and destruction everywhere I go... Odin was right.
.I walked into an alley and changed back to myself, to Loki and not Logan. I used an invisibility shield around me as I walked into Stark tower and back up to where I was supposed to be restricted to.
When I got back to the small library I moved back into my illusion I left and continued on with my day. Waiting for the Avengers to come back from raiding another Hydra base because they stupidly gave such a powerful weapon away like a piece of scrap.(Stupid mortals...)
. . . "Mr. Laufeyson the Avengers are back from their mission." Jarvis announced into the room.
(I wish he wouldn't call me that.)"It doesn't matter to me." I flipped the page of the book.
"Mr. Laufeyson, Thor is calling for you." Jarvis said. I continued to read. "Mr. Laufeyson, Thor is searching for you." I rolled my eyes and continued to read. "Mr. Laufeyso-."
"For Odinsake!" I closed my book. "What does he want?"
"Mr. Laufeyson, Mr. Stark has requested your presence in the penthouse."
I sighed. "Alright." I stood up and started for the Penthouse. "This better be worth my time."
I walked into the penthouse and immediately was greeted by a pat on the back from Thor. "We have found your scepter, brother."
(It's not mine.)I pushed him off me. "Is that why you called me up here?" Stark walked back in from the elevator. "Stark?"
He looked up from his phone. "Oh, goody." He flicked his phone and hologram popped up. "You two gods know what this is?" He went over to the bar while we looked at a video of a Klyntar. "You two seem to be familiar with our friend."
A/N For those who don't know a Klyntar is another name for a Symbiote. (Klyntar is what Scream is)
"This is a Klyntars." Thor informed, Stark raised a brow to say 'Go on.' "They are a species of, uh..."
I rolled my eyes at Thor once again not paying attention in our studies when growing up. "They were created by the dark god Knull to serve as weapons in his war against the Celestials. Knull was defeated but his Klyntar remain, moving from host to host."
Stark walked back to us with a drink in hand. "So friendly or not friendly?"
"They're looking for planets where they can find hosts to inhabit." I continued since Thor knew no knowledge about creatures. "The creature itself is not typically a foe unless it's host is dangerous or not in control of the parasite."
Stark took a sip. "So we don't know." I raised a brow, he sighed. "I'm exhausted from the day so why don't you, go find out." He motioned to me.
I raised a brow. "Me. You want me to leave the tower?"
"No." Stark motioned to Thor. "Take your brother with you." He started towards the elevator. "Just don't cause a mess of New York like you did years ago." The elevator doors opened. "Jarvis show them where it is." He walked in and the doors closed.
Thor turned to me with a smile. "Just like old times." He clapped me on the back.
(I am going to hate this.)
