DIGGY’S P.O.V.

Diggy- What the fuck? Jhené, I’m busy right now..

Jhené- What? That’s your girlfriend and she’s in the hospital and you have no time to be with her? You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.

Diggy- I know but..

Jhené- No buts, she needs you. You need to be here right now

Diggy- I.. I… *looks at the girls at his booth*

Elijah- *looks at him*

Diggy- *sighs* Fine. I’ll be there as soon as possible *hangs up* *walks over to Elijah* We have to go

Elijah- *stands up* What happened?

Diggy- I’ll tell you on the way *turns around*

Girl- *grabs onto Diggy and laughs* Where you goin? Aren’t you gonna spend the night… with me? *bites her lip*

Elijah- *glances at Diggy*

Diggy- *sighs* Baby, you fine as hell.. but I’ve.. I’ve gotta go. *leaves*

YOUR P.O.V.

*an hour later*

Doctor- *adjusts your drip* I’ll be back to check on you in around half an hour.

Y/N- *smiles weakly* Thanks Doctor

Doctor- *leaves*

Jhené- *sits beside you* What’s been happening to you Y/N? You’ve changed. 

Y/N- *shakes head* I haven’t.

Jhené- Come on.. the lighter skin? Always perming your hair, dieting.. You don’t even drink coffee anymore.

Y/N- *sighs* I just wanna be the girl Diggy really wants. 

Jhené- He does want you

Y/N- So why isn’t he here? Why are we so spaced apart? Why does he go to the club every night and he’s flirting with different girls and I have to hear about it from you and everyone else?

Jhené- *grabs your hand* I don’t know baby.

*door opens and Diggy walks in*

Y/N/Jhené- *looks up at him*

Jhené- So you finally found time to come huh?

Diggy- *shakes his head at her* Don’t start Jhené

Y/N- *looks at them both* Wait, what do you mean J?

Jhené- This bitch of yours said he was too busy to even come and see you right now

Y/N- *looks at him* Are you fucking kidding me?

Elijah- You’re joking, right?

Diggy- Jhené, Elijah, can I talk to Y/N alone?

Jhené- *scoffs at him, gets up and walks out with Elijah*

Diggy- *sits beside you*

Y/N- *shakes head* I can’t believe you right now

Diggy- *holds your hand* You’ve been stressing me out, aite? You changing, being someone different. I mean, what is this? *touches your face* You don’t even look the same to me.

Y/N- *shakes his hand away* Thought I would be more attractive to you this way. All the girls you’ve been with and the ones you.. flirt with, are light-skinned, curly hair and.. not me

Diggy- I don’t want you like this babe. I want you. I don’t want you to be like them. I want you to be like you. Most of all, your skin was so much more beautiful before, why did you bleach it? *strokes your cheek*

Y/N- *shrugs*

Diggy- And what’s with you being in the hospital? Dehydration, seriously?

Y/N- I wanted to be skinnier for you.

Diggy- *kisses and hugs you*

Y/N- *pauses and looks at him* Why did you not want to come here? 

Diggy- It doesn’t matter what J said. She was just talking

Y/N- No, what did she mean, huh?! Why would Jhené lie to me?

Diggy- Alright.. I was at the club. I was away from here, I thought I just wanted space

Y/N- *starts to cry* Why would we need that? You hanging out with bitches and all that. You know what, you’re becoming who you never even wanted to be.

Diggy- Who?

Y/N- Your brother. Or what he used to be, because I swear to God, he was never like that with me. He used to be all clubs, girls, fucking and sleazy before me, but now it’s you.

Diggy- *stands up* So why don’t you just go back to him then?!

Y/N- *shouts* Don’t fucking go there!

Diggy- *shakes his head* No, no! If you say he was never like me, why don’t you go after him then? Why ain’t you with him right now?

Y/N- Because I’m with you and I love you! I love you, not him!

Diggy- So fucking what? You had the real deal and now I ended up with his leftovers?

Y/N- *stares at him* What did you just call me?

Y/N- You’re fucking disgusting

Y/N- What, your brother’s sloppy seconds? Funny because I thought you went after me and I wanted you too… but now it’s like you’re stuck with me and settled for second best

Diggy- *pauses and stares at you* You’re not serious

Y/N- *shouts* I said get out Diggy! *sniffles*

Diggy- *walks out and slams the door*

Jhené- *rushes back in* *looks at you*

Y/N- *shakes her head* I fucking hate him *tears start to fall*

Jhené- *holds you tight*

ELIJAH’S P.O.V.

Elijah- *catches up to him* *pulls him back* What the fuck man? You’re meant to be there for her, what happened?

Diggy- She’s blowing everything out of proportion. I didn’t mean to ever say she was Jermiane’s leftovers or some shit

Elijah- *shakes his head* You’re fucking stupid.

Diggy- I just.. *sighs* I need to go home

Elijah- I’ll see you later man

Diggy-*confused* Wait, what do you mean?

Elijah- If you ain’t gonna be there for her, somebody needs to 

Diggy- Naw fuck that man, she has Jhené

Elijah- Do you even care about her or is it just an image you put on? Cause that’s your girl and she needs you, not all this stress you giving her

Diggy- Fuck you man, I’m gone. Have fin with her miserable ass. I can’t stand it *leaves*

Elijah- *watches him go* *goes in your room*

Y/N- *Looks up at him*

Elijah- I’m sorry (you initial)

Y/N- *looks down*

Jhené- You want a water?

Y/N- Yeah, sure.

Jhené- *gets up and leaves*

Y/N- What did he say?

Elijah- *sighs* He’s stressed. He’s all about image, you know Dig.

Y/N- Fuck his image. I need him and he needs me right now. But he’s just.. I can’t believe he said that

Elijah- *shakes his head* He’s been drinking, don’t worry about it

Y/N- That’s no excuse, that’s shit. 

Elijah- He’ll make it up to you somehow. You know what he’s like.

Y/N- *shrugs*

YOUR P.O.V.

I couldn’t even talk to him without him tryna play off his actions like they were jokes or me trying to be serious about it. And when he got the wrong end of the stick, he’d overreact, get angry and say shit he’d regret later. I hated him right now. I stayed at Jhené’s for the first few days so she could watch over me, but now I was at home. I just needed someone to be here for me right now.

Diggy- *walks in the bedroom* *sees you sleeping lightly* *walks over and kisses your cheek*

Y/N- *wakes up* What’s that for?

Diggy- I just love you that’s all

Y/N- Sure you do.

Diggy- *sighs* Come on, we’re going somewhere. Somewhere far.

Y/N- I ain’t going nowhere with you. I’m still mad at you

Diggy- *pulls you out of bed*

Y/N- Daniel, stop!!

Diggy- *looks in your eyes* I mean it This is gonna mean the world for me to do. *slaps your ass* Pack a bag

Y/N- *gives him the side eye* *walks to her closet*

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

*four hours later* *in the car*

Y/N- Diggy…

Diggy- *smiles and ignores you*

Y/N- Daniel. *slaps his leg*

Diggy- *looks at you* *raises his eyebrow* I’m driving.

Y/N- Why the fuck are we in Philly?

Diggy- You’ll see. We’re almost there.

Y/N- We’ve been walking for ages, what the fuck

Diggy- Relax babe. I’m serious about this, just understand that, aite?

Y/N- *sighs* Fine.

*ten minutes later*

Diggy- *drives up to a gate* We’re here.

Y/N- Are we? This is where we’re staying?

Diggy- *nods* This is where I grew up.

*gates open and Diggy drives in*

Y/N- You never told me you used to live in Philly.

Diggy- There’s a lotta things I never told you *gets out the car*

Y/N- *gets out*

Diggy- *walks to the door* *knocks on it*

Y/N- *pauses* Wait.. 

Diggy- *looks at you* I want you to meet someone special to me. I’ve never, ever done this for a girl before, I swear

Y/N- *smirks* Swear?

Diggy- Swear.

*door opens* 

Justine- *looks at Diggy* Hi baby.. *hugs him and closes her eyes* I’ve missed you so much… *opens her eyes and sees you* Oh..

Diggy- *breaks the hug* Mom, I want you to meet Y/N. My girlfriend.

Justine- *reaches her hand out* It’s lovely to meet you

Y/N- *smiles* You too

Diggy- *smiles at you both*

I watched as my mom greeted Y/N and took her in the house so welcoingly. I was hoping, so so hoping that the past wouldn’t creep up on me now.. and my mom wouldn’t hate me for lying about it either. It’s been a long time…
