Chapter 0.5

A 185 cm tall young man was standing in front of the elevator, waiting for it to open its door, but it was busy hours so he needed to wait longer than usual. His eyes drooped as his eyes scanned through the phone screen. His fingers moving weakly, scrolling it up and down.

People were celebrating a couple's anniversary. It was repeated for several years now since he met with that man. He wanted to be happy for him but he could not sincerely feel it.

"If reading all those posts in social media makes you this gloomy, you should step back, Ai Win."

Thankfully, Win was not alone that day. He was with Mix and Mix, as one of his close friend, knew what was in Win's heart better than others at some point.

"I mean, don't keep checking," Mix explained. "You will only read the same topics. Try again tomorrow."

Win agreed. He put his phone on his sling bag. "Oh, P'Mix, do you have time tonight? Let's go to bar."

"Huh? No. Don't be crazy. I'm not gonna wait until you drunk because you won't be. Give up already!" Mix complained.

Win sighed. "You are like this when you know I am in need of getting drunk."

Mix exhaled heavily, but then his eyes dilated when he saw a prince-like man appeared from the other corner of the hall. "Ah! Sawasdee khrab."

Win turned his head to the back and found a familiar man whose pictures he just saw in social media this morning, together with the girlfriend. Win held his breath for a second before wai at him.

Vachirawit Chivaaree, Win's P'Bright. Everyone knew that, but they also knew that Bright had a girlfriend.

"Why do you look unhappy, Win?" Bright asked.

"He wants to go drinking tonight but I can't go with him, so he is sulk-ouch!"

Win stopped Mix for spilling the beans by squeezing his hand. "I'm good, Phi."

"Is that so? I can go with you tonight."

Win was stunned. He blinked several times, unsure if Bright was serious. "You don't have any plan tonight?" Win pushed himself to ask.

"I said I could go with you," Bright repeated what he already said. "I have time, I have time."

Mix narrowed his forehead even though he could not hold back his smile as he was relief that Bright was there for Win. Mix knew, Win needed his P'Bright, not him.

"But you-" Win stopped talking when he saw Bright looking at him, eyebrows knitted, and if Win continued, Bright would surely be annoyed. "Okay."

Bright smiled. He waved his hand, walking away while saying that he would LINE Win later if he had done.

After Bright had gone, Win turned to Mix. His face begged for help from Mix, but Mix shook his head. Yeah, Mix could see Win did not want to ruin someone's relationship, yet...

"It's better to go with someone you love, right?"

Chapter 1.1.5

"We've tried to call him since morning, but no one could reach him."

P'Add looked frustrated and beside her, there was P'Eed who looked as frustrated as her.

BRIGHT COULD NOT BE CALLED. HE DID NOT PICK UP THE PHONE OR READ LINE.

Win, Off, and Tay who were in the same room with the managers suddenly alarmed because of the news.

"He probably is still sleeping," Win said, trying to calm everyone's down. "He has no schedule today."

"It's 10.00 AM na, Win." P'Add reasoned.

Off and Tay took out their phone and hurriedly helping the managers to call Bright, left Win sitting calmly doing nothing. He was sure Bright was sleeping and wondered why people around him were in panic until the ringtone from P'Add's phone was heard. It was a LINE video call.

"Oh. It's First." P'Add read the name on the phone screen like she just found a diamond. She picked it up straightaway. "Halo."

"Hello. Sawasdee khrab." First greeted P'Add who was using loudspeaker.

People in the room turned their head to P'Add. P'Add told First that she was with them. First waving his hands cheerfully as a greeting. When he realized the face people made was not as friendly as usual, he stopped making a happy face.

"Do I call in the wrong time?"

"You are not. It's the right time because we have to ask about your best friend." Tay proposed.

"My best- Which best friend you are talking about, Phi?"

"Ai Bright," Off replied quickly. "Where is he?"

"Isn't he there?"

"If he is, we won't ask." Tay said.

"Just call him to ask where he is," First replied with no hesitation.

"If we could, we would not ask you."

First clammed up. He realized that the faces he saw in the room were all frowning and tensed. But then he smiled. "There is Nong Win, right? Can I talk to Nong Win for a minute khrab?"

"Eh? Me khrab, Phi?"

"Right. Can we talk for a minute?" First requested. "And please turn off the loudspeaker."

Win hesitated, but the look people gave him hinted at following First. Win lifted his relax body from his seat and took over the phone.

"P'Bright is really not there?"

"Khrab."

"Can't reach him, too?"

"Right," Win answered. "He doesn't have schedule today, so he must be sleeping."

"True," First agreed. "But before sleeping, he called me last night, told me about his breakup."

Win's eyes dilated. "Break...?"

"Breakup, yes, he broke up last night." First reconfirmed. "So, maybe, P'Bright needs some time alone."

Win shook his head. "Isn't it impossible? They just celebrated their anniversary last week."

"That's right. It was their anniversary, but P'Bright forgot about it. After that, his ex girlfriend visited her parents for a week and yesterday she was supposed to be back to condo," First whispered. "You know, she didn't come back. They broke up by phone."

Win furrowed because last week... "You are joking, Phi."

"Why should I?"

Win did not answer nor give another reason. He ended the call and give the phone back to its owner. He took his sling bag quickly, confused others.

"Where the hell are you going in a rush, Ai Win?" Off was annoyed by the view in front of him.

Win sent them hand waving while walking away. His head was too full with guilt. He blamed himself. On the day of Bright and his ex's anniversary, Bright was with Win.

Chapter 1.3.5

Mix yawned. He could not drink because it was already late. Win arrived at his place when he had prepared to sleep. Now, in front of him, there was Nong Win who looked okay, but brokenhearted.

After talking about Bright's situation, Win took a deep breath. "I love him," Win mumbled as he pouring the beer into his glass again.

"Umm, I know."

Mix had never commented about Win's secret love for Bright. Never, even though he knew that Win was struggled to hide it from Bright.

"I care for him. He was happy with his girlfriend. Now, I'm unintentionally ruin it. I don't want that to happen because I love him." Win complained.

"Umm," Mix nodded. "I think the relationship between P'Bright and his girlfriend is not that weak. It's impossible for them to break up over that reason. There must be something else."

"I can't see him being sad," Win whined again. "I love him."

"I know, I know."

"I love him," Win's voice got softer. "I love him..."

Mix glanced at Win and found the younger man staring blankly at the glass on his hand. Mix rolled his eyes. Win, who had high alcohol tolerance, had finally been drunk.

Chapter 7.2.5

"You are insane."

Fluke concluded the story after Bright telling him what happened in the afternoon at GTV building.

"In front of many people na? Now what, Phi?" First shook his head, amazed with the stupidity that Bright did. "People probably take it the wrong way when you said you've been thinking about Win."

Bright gulped his beer and put back the glass harshly. "If that so, they did not take it the wrong way. I've been thinking about him."

Fluke and First looked at each other, fighting through their eyes to ask Bright for more. First gave in and continued.

"And... why in the world have you been thinking about him, Phi?"

"Just-"

"He loves Win," Fluke replied instantly.

"No. That's not it." Bright denied immediately. "What the f*ck are you talking about, Ai Fluke?"

"Aw," First pretended to be surprised. "You don't love him but thinking about him. You are weird."

"You even snapped when Nong tried to show his sympathy about your breakup issues." Fluke gave him more proof. "You even forgot about your anniversary for two years in a row."

"I..." Bright was doubtful to speak out his mind. It would be a big confession and no one would expect it in the first place. "...after I got back together with her, I have never remembered our anniversary. The work is consuming me."

First clicked his tongue. The sound made Bright and Fluke turned their head to him. "The inaccuracy in your explanation, Phi, ohooooo do you need me to help you?"

"Huh?" Bright was confused. So was Fluke.

"Last year, you were at the venue to congratulate Win for his fanmeeting. I was with you so I remember. This year, yoy forgot it to cheer him up, accompanied the sad Nong Win at the bar." First said. "Think again. Think, Phi. Where is your girlfriend's place in your priority list? Poor her."

Fluke cleared his throat, let out a coughing sound. He did not say anything since First already spoke it all for him.

"I-"

"You have been prioritizing Nong over her. Will you defend yourself in front of us?" First cut Bright off, bombarding him with facts.

Bright got up from his seat after emptied his glass. Before walking away, leaving his friends, Bright gave them an answer. "I won't."

Chapter 9.0.5

The discussion inside the meeting room always ended up with planning to hangout after they concluded what they would do for the big music festival soon. The music festival helped him so much to get through his situation.

That day, it was the same. The group consisted of Bright, Guy, Krist, Lee, Arm, Gun Achi, Fluke, Drake, and Toptap already decided where they would have dinner after the meeting. This activity also kept Bright away from overthinking. He gladly joined them to hangout or having extra music session at GTV music studio. Bright's effort not to think about his problem with Win was ruined once he heard someone's voice from outside the room.

"No, khrab."

Not only Bright who was stunned, all people in the room also shut their mouth when he heard Win's voice talking. They knew Bright and Win were not in good terms that time.

"P'First said he still had schedule until 10 PM so I'm gonna drop P'Bright off at his condo."

On his seat, Bright looked at his lap, listening carefully whatever Win was talking. He avoided that younger man for a month but his voice melted his heart in a second. Should he met Win? But Win did not have the same feeling and he did not want to make Win feel uncomfortable around him.

"Go there and see him," Arm suggested. "You have been so miserable this whole month, dude. We don't know what happened, but surely there is a problem between you and him."

Bright narrowed his eyes. He glanced at Fluke sharply but Fluke, while shrugging, said, "I said nothing about it to anyone, you are just too obvious."

"...I guess, one of you can drop P'Bright off after that khrab. I'm going home."

"Ai Bright! Did you hear that?!" Guy suddenly shouted. "Don't you think it's a perfect time to go home?"

Bright took a deep breath. He got up, sling his bag, and walked toward the door. "It's Ai Win, isn't it?"

A nod from Guy made Bright smile. He appeared in front of Win who was standing at the door. He noticed that those eyes dilated and glistened when they saw him.

"Are you alright, Ai Win?"

"Umm."

Bright exhaled heavily, knowing that he would not be able to leave this adorable person. He smiled at Win, hoping it could made Win feel better.

"Come on. We're going home."

Chapter 12.1.5

Win arrived at his condo. Ice, the second child of Opas-iamkajorn famiky was there to clean up because it was her turn to do it. After greeting her shortly, Win entered his room.

Win threw his body on the bed and closed his eyes. His mouth kept saying "It's okay. It's normal if he is with her. They love each other. I'm no one." as if he reminding himself where to stand, how to respond to this situation, and what to feel.

The bitter smile in the corner of his lips pushed his eyes to be opened. He inhaled a long breath to calm down but it was useless. He could feel the sharp pain in his chest more clearly.

Win wiped his tears on his cheeks. He thought that he should not cry because...

"I'm sorry, I have not given my feeling a name yet. It makes us confused."

"He doesn't love me."

Chapter 13.1.5

Inside his car, Win was crying until he found it hard to breathe. He was never this weak. He got through his breakup well. He had never cried this frantic. Not to mention, it was not a breakup. The ambiguous relationship, with no clear status, no clear feeling, he decided to leave it all behind.

Win was the one who decide. He should not be the one crying like he was the one being left.

He left. He would not ever come back again.

Chapter 14.2.5

Bright stopped his car outside a big house. If he came out and rang the bell, what would he say? He already visited around the place Win used to be. He went to Win's condo several times but no one was there because Win was filming out of town. He should had known, but he was still searching for Win in the same place. Now, this house was the only place left to bet if he could find who he was looking for.

Bright was a coward and he just knew that when he was involved with Win. Now, that he had something important to tell Win, Win was in a place where he could not just come there and blabber about his feeling.

The knock on the car window startled Bright who was leaning his head on the steering wheel. He saw a woman waving her hand at him. Bright immediately unlocked the door and got out of the car. He wai at her. "Sawasdee khrab, P'Ming."

"Sawasdee kha. I happened to get out to receive a food delivery package, and then I saw this car," Ming said. "Why didn't you ring the bell, Nong?"

"I-"

"You have never visited before. Come and visit us." Ming invited Bright in.

Bright shook his head. He forced a smile since he was not in the mood and Ming was such a kind older sister of Win. "I just want to see Win."

Ming's eyes widened and sparkled. "I see," she said. "But Win is not here kha. He comes back home once a week, but the day he comes is so random. He hardly finds time to call us, too."

Bright nodded. He expected it because he had ever been in that position. Being busy and all. "Then, I will come again later, Phi."

"Eh? Seriously?" Ming was surprised. She thought she had convinced Bright successfully. "But before going home, can you tell me what happened? Win looked unwell, too, on the day when he was going to filming location. He has been like that for a week before that."

Ah, she noticed, Bright thought. He had no way to escape or he might not be able to meet Win because this sister would not help him. "He suddenly decided to leave me."

"You talked like you both just broke up," Ming grinned. Her eyes almost closed. They reminded Bright of Win.

"We did not, Phi. He just didn't want me to hurt him anymore."

Ming nodded. She refrained from asking too much. Knowing the two young men had a problem was enough for her to consider what she must do.

"If only he let me talk to him once, Phi, I will clear it up. For sure."

"Kha. I believe you, Nong," Ming said. "I hope you can meet him soon na kha."

Bright thank her for the kind wish and left the house while Ming came back inside, greeting her younger sister, Ice, with a news.

"You are right, Ice," Ming said. "Our little brother loves him and now they are in a mess. What are we gonna do?"

Ice laughed. She changed the television channel and stated, "You help him, Phi. I will enjoy the show."

Chapter 15.1.5

Bright forced himself to ring the bell at the gate and he regretted it so much. The security officer let him in just like that and the maid was friendly. He now thought that visiting the house was the wrong deci-

"Hi!"

Bright greeted by Ice, another sister of Win. Bright wai at her right away. "Sawasdee khrab."

"Are you looking for me, Nong?"

"I'm looking for-"

"P'Ming? She is upstairs. Want me to call her?"

Bright was speechless with her seriousness. He was not sure if Ice was joking or-

"Ice, stop teasing Nong kha." Ming appeared from upstairs.

"He is so tense," Ice laughed at Bright. "Is my aura offending you?"

"I apo-"

"There he goes again, P'Ming. Help Ice kha."

Bright wait at Ming properly. The oldest child in the family smiled widely.

"Come, have a seat." Ming led Bright to the living room and sat on the sofa.

Ice sat with them after serving 3 cups of coffee for them. "So, you are looking for Mick."

"Ice," Ming remarked her. "I apologize for her na kha, Nong."

Bright nodded slightly.

"2 days ago, Win came back home. He talked to me before he went back to the filming location." Ming started the story. "He said, he didn't know what to do."

"He didn't..." Bright mumbled.

Ice glanced at Ming who was watching Bright's reaction, then she spoke up. "If you need help, you can tell us. But since it seems very private matters between you and Win, we..."

The pause in Ice' voice was meaningful for Bright. It showed the willingness and also uncertainty at the same time. "Thank you khrab, P'Ice, P'Ming. I came here only to see if I can meet Win, but time is still not on my side. I will solve it by myself khrab. I am the caused of this problem."

Ming and Ice stared at each other and ended the conversation, changed it with work-related topic. Bright spent an hour to get to know the two sisters. When Bright was about to go home, Ming walked him to the front door.

Before walking too far from the door to the gate, he heard Ming said an important thing for him.

"It seems like you don't understand about my brother's feeling. Maybe, that's because you don't understand yours yet," Ming brought it up. "Win is so clear na kha. He knows what he feels. So, it's better if you know what you feel, too. Be as clear as clean water. Susu na."

Bright was stupefied for a second before realizing the truth in Ming's words and smiling at her. "I'll try my best, Phi. Thank you."
