2 Who's the father

 Kono walks in with Kamea

"Okay now that it's safe we should really locate your father," said Steve

"Do we have to?" groaned Kamea

"Yes," said Chin

"He's a coward didn't even say it himself he had his dad do it for him." she huffed crossing her arms

"He is the father he has at least the right to know his daughter died," said Kono with a hand on her shoulder

"Fine, my father's name is Steve McGarrett," answered Kamea

Everyone looks towards Steve "I'm Steve McGarrett."

"K.well now you know," she said with no emotion

"So still wanna punch him?" asked Danny

Steve glared at him, Kamea phone ring's

"Oh gotta take this," she said walking out

"I have a kid? "asked Steve dumbfounded

"She does have his personality," adds Kono

Kamea walked in. "Hey I'm heading out, see you at home Kono."

Max walks in "The DNA results are in."

Steve grabs the results "Was she telling the truth?" asked Danny

"Yes," he said before walking out

Kamea's pov

"hey, Kamea," said Chin

"Hey is Steve in?" I asked

"No he's out with Danny, should be back soon," answered Kono

"Thanks, I'll wait in his office." I smile

I've never been in his office before, there are awards littering the walls, a few minutes later.

"Hey?" asked Steve

"Just need you to sign this," I say handing him the papers

"What's this?" he asked

"Emastionpation papers."

"What? Why?" asked Steve

"You don't want a daughter and I don't want to go into the system," I answered a matter of factly

"I never said that."

"Yeah 14 years ago."

"No, I didn't know I had a kid till now," said Steve

"wait ...."I was interrupted end pov

"What's going on in there?" asked Danny

"It seems pretty heated," commented Chin

"Well are suspect was spotted," he said walking over

"We got him," said Danny opening the door

"Okay, sorry," he said turning back to Kamea

"It's fine we can talk about this later," said Kamea

In the car

What?" asked Steve looking at Danny and then back to the road

"Seriously what happened?" asked Danny

"She wants to be Emancipated, she thinks I don't want a kid."

"Well, do you?" asked Danny

"I've never thought about it." he takes a long pause "I've missed 16 years of her life and I will never get to know Lila."

"Yeah but now you have the chance to know your daughter," said Danny

"Yeah and she wants nothing to do with me," said Steve before stepping out of the car

Steve's pov

"Have you been here the whole time? " I ask walking into my office

"No, I took Dixie on a walk," answered Kamea or should I say my daughter?

"Why did you think I knew about you and your sister?" I ask sitting down

"Your father threatened my mom that if she ever returned to Hawaii he would have her arrested." my blood boiled as she told me I couldn't believe he would do something like that.

"Are you saying you didn't?" asked Kamea

"Nope, I had no idea but I would like to get to know you."

"Me and the dog are a package deal," she said sternly

"I think we can make it work." I laughed a little

"Okay," she said

"Do you wanna spend tonight at Kono's? Give you time to get your things together," I ask

"Yeah." end pov

"Hey Kamea, hungry?" asked Kono

"I could eat. Thank's Kono for everything."

"No problem. I'm here if you need anything," she said placing food

After dinner

"So you're gonna give Steve a chance?" she asked

"Yeah, I'm kinda nervous for the longest time I was hurt, it wasn't till a few years ago I stopped caring. Know i learned he had no idea."

"I know Steve you guys will be fine." smiled Kono

That night Kamea packed up her stuff but was too anxious to sleep. it reminded her of the nights her sister would talk about meeting him. Kamea never wanted anything to do with her dad but her sister on the other hand wanted to meet him. Lila was an Optimist of the group; she always wanted to look on the bright side. This made Kamea cry thinking of her sister, she cried herself to sleep.

The next morning she, woke up an hour before Steve was supposed to be there.

Steve knocked on the door Kono opened it

"Hey Steve she should be down in a minute." she smiled

"Thanks, Kono," he said as a white dog came up to him demanding pets

The ride to his house was silent, Steve insisted on carrying her bags in.

"What do you think, Dixie?" asked Kamea the dog just ran in

"I think she likes it." smiled Kamea

"Good? Up here will be your room," he said walking up the stairs and setting down her bags.

"Thanks," said Kamea

"No problem," said Steve they stood there Awkwardly for a few minutes

"I'll let you unpack," he said, clapping his hands together before walking out. A few minutes later

"Hey we caught a case will you be fine here?" asked Steve

"Yep," said Kamea petting Dixie

At the palace

"First your mother comes back from the dead and now a surprise kid," said Danny

"What we got?" asked Steve ignoring Danny's comment

Kamea's pov

"So the leader of five-0 is your father?" asked Quinn

"Yepp."

"Are you gonna tell him?" asked Quinn

"Nope, my boarding school cover is still intact." Dixie jumps on the bed

"Hey, girl."

It was about 11 at night when Steve returned

"Hey, did I wake you?" he asked

"Nope. how was your case? " I ask trying to make some talk

"Not the worst, how are you settling in?" he asks

"Fine, your house is very nice."

"I should get some sleep," I say heading upstairs end pov

"We can't seem to connect, I don't know what to do?" vented Steve

"Well what does she like to do?" asked Katherine

"I don't know she's very closed off and anytime we start talking I get called away." said Steve "She should be home in an hour, she hangs out more with Kono than me."

All of a sudden the door opens and Steve sits up

"Oh, sorry," said Kamea

"No um Kamea meet Katherine, Katherine, Kamea," said Steve

"We've..." started Katherine but Kamea cut her off

"Very nice to meet you, Katherine." Steve's phone goes off and he leaves

"Does he know?" asked Katherine

"No and he's not supposed to," said Kamea

"He's your dad?" asked Katherine

"Yeah."

Steve walks back in they found another body, "Katherine I'm sorry." said Steve

"Go." she smiled

"I'll keep her company," added Kamea

After Steve left

"It's been a while," said Kamea

"Yeah, wanna get something to eat or go for a swim?" she asks

"Yeah just let me take out Dixie before we go, who's driving?" asked Kamea

"I don't care."

Kamea takes Dixie out and when she comes back in "Oh was the info enough to find Shelburne?"

"Yes and no, you were a big help. "smiled Katherine

"Okay, let's go."
