Chapter 8

I wake up and slowly sit up, leaning against the head board. Wolf wakes as well and crawls up the bed to lean his head in my lap. I stroke his soft fluffy fur as I recall the events of last night.

"I just kissed Lee Pace" I mumble to myself a few times. I then come to realisation. "I just kissed Lee Pace, and he kissed me!"

I smile but then I feel my face burning as I remember what he said last night before I went to bed. I put my face in my hands and groaned. He heard me singing, oh how embarrassing that is. I decide to get up out of bed and Wolf follows along. We walk to the kitchen to find any food. I find Wolf his food and give it to him before looking for food for me.

I open the pantry and stare at it for a good 10 minutes. If it wasn't for Lee wrapping his arms around my waist, I would've been staring at it for a majority of the day before wondering why I was staring.

"Morning" I say, leaning back into him.

"Morning!" he says, cheerfully. "What are you doing?"

"Um, looking for food?" I say.

"By staring at the pantry for 10 minutes?" he smirks.

"Wait, how you know how long I've been here for!" I turn around in his arms and look up at him.

"For me to know and you to find out" he says with a smirk before leaning down to kiss me. I freeze for a second before almost instantly wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him down closer. We pull away to breathe and I give him a hug, which he happily returns.

"I need to get used to that I think" I say to myself.

"To what?" he asks.

"You kissing me, that's all" I say with a slight blush.

"Oh well I think that can be fixed" he unexpectedly kisses me again, with more passion and breaks away, leaving us breathless. "Fixed?"

"Um, yea. Sure!" I say, still slightly breathless.

He laughs and brings me along with him to look at the pantry. His arms leave my waist and goes to get things from the pantry. He hands me the loaf of bread and I put it on the counter top. I then go to the fridge to get the butter.

"Kyla! Do you want tea?" I hear him ask.

"Yes please! Do you need milk?"

"Yeah, thanks" he says passing me to the kettle.

He boils the water while I get the sugar and milk for the tea. I then hear my phone ringing from my bedroom. And I look to Lee.

"Go check your phone, I'll fix everything" Lee told me.

"Thanks mate, I owe you a lot!" I say before dashing to my room.

I pick up the phone and answer without checking who it is. But I had an idea already.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY DAYS?!"

"Ow! You're going to me deaf Keels!" I whine.

"YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED ANY OF MINE OR MOLLY'S TEXTS OR CALLS SINCE COMIC CON! WHAT HAPPENED? DID SOMETHING HAPPEN? IF SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED, I WANT TO KNOW!" She shouts.

I put my phone on speaker and rub my ear, one day I will go deaf because of her. "Sorry but I have been busy"

"You and your lame excuses!" I hear another voice.

"Oh, Hey Molly!" I greet.

"Hey!? DON'T HEY ME! YOU KNOW WE HAVE BEEN WORRIED! EXTREMELY WORRIED!"

"I'm so sorry, but I'll tell you guys the story later. I have been meaning to tell you but I didn't really have time" I say another lame excuse.

I hear them both sigh over the phone. "How bout, we come over to your house to catch up?"

"Well, um." I think about how Lee will be staying for 6 months. I know they would have to find out sometime but I didn't think this early. "I'll get back to you later this arvo."

"Okay, we will be expecting a text later this arvo or else we will call you!" I hear Molly warn.

"I promise, talk later. Bye!"

"Bye!" they say simultaneously.

I walk back to the kitchen to see Lee pouring the hot water into the cups. He looks up and smiles, I smile back.

"Hey... so my friends just called." I start.

He raises his eyebrows to tell me to continue while he gets the toast.

I sit on the stool and lean on the counter top. "They want to come over some time to catch up on those days I haven't talked to them."

"Oh? And?" he asks.

"Well, I haven't exactly told them that you are staying? And also the fact that I haven't told them I met you." I say sheepishly.

"Oh really? And why is that?" he smirks.

"Well, I don't know" I tap on the counter top.

"They have to know some time. So invite them over this weekend" he suggested.

"I was planning to" I look up at him.

"So basically you were trying to ask me if I was okay with your friends coming over and knowing about us.

When he said us, I thought for a second. Are we like a thing now? Like are we now dating?

"Yeah, basically." I smile sheepishly.

He laughs and puts the plate of buttered toast with scrambled egg on it in front of me. He then passes over the tea. He leans on the counter top opposite me and eats his food. I eat as well but I couldn't help asking.

"So, um... are we... uh" I try to form words in my mouth but can't.

"Yes?" he raises his eyebrows.

"You know............ dating?" I blush a dark shade of red when I say that.

"Well do you want me to be your boyfriend? He asks.

"Yes." I mumble, looking down at my food.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't quite hear you" he leans in closer.

"I said yes"

"What?" he points to his ear, smirking.

I reached across and slapped his arm. "You heard me!"

"I know, I just wanted to see if you were telling the truth" he said again with a smirk. That just earned him another slap to the arm. He rubs his arm and acted as if I hurt him badly.

After breakfast, I texted my friends.

Me: Hey guys

Keely: Hey

Molly: Hey

Me: So, you can come over this Saturday

Keely: Yes! Finally

Molly: great! What time?

Me: Anytime you want really

Molly: ok cool

Me: Btw, I have a guest staying with me for a while so you get to meet them

Keely: Ohhhhh, who is it? Is it a guy?

Me: You will find out when you get here, I have to go

Molly: Okay Byeeeeee

Keely: Byee

Looks like the truth will come out earlier than expected.
