Chapter 7

"Are you almost finished in there?!" I call out to Lee through the door.

"Almost!" he calls back.

"Geez, and I thought us women take forever getting ready" I mumble to myself.

"Ta-da!" he opens the door and my jaw drops.

"Are you kidding me!?" I exclaim, gesturing to the clothes he was wearing.

"What? Is something wrong with my clothes?" he looks worriedly at what he is wearing.

"No, you took an hour to dress like that?" I say in disbelief.

He shrugs. He is wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

"I can't believe that!" I throw my hands in the air.

"Well, you can keep complaining about my clothes or do you want to go on our date?" he holds out his hand and I take it.

We arrive at the cinemas and Lee goes to get our tickets while I go get the popcorn and drinks. I have no idea what movie we are watching but Lee told me it was going to be great. This was because one of his closest friends was in the movie.

I wait for Lee next to the line that goes into the cinemas whilst holding a large popcorn in one hand and 2 large cokes in the other. I see Lee come around the corner and jog over to help me.

"You can take the drinks, I'm taking the popcorn" I tell him. He raises his eyebrows, knowing why but take the drinks anyway.

We line up and I try to take a peek of the tickets he holds but I fail miserably. So I continuously eat popcorn while waiting.

"At the rate you're going, we won't have any popcorn to eat during the movie." Lee teases me.

I frown and look down at the box of popcorn. "I haven't eaten that much" dragging the last word a bit.

He smirks and we walk to where the guy takes, well rips our tickets. He pointed us to the direction of the house and he head in the direction.

"So what movie is it?" I ask.

"Oh, you'll see." He smirks, again.

"If I counted how many times you have smirked at me, it would be over a billion times I bet you"

He laughs as we enter the house and look for our seats. He got us the best seats in the movie theatre! We got the very back row and it was right in the middle. So we had awesome seats.

"How did you get these seats?" I asked surprised as I sat down and ate popcorn. "These seats are normally the first ones taken"

"I have my ways" he smirks once again. Does he ever go a day without smirking?

I place the popcorn in the middle and he hands me my drink. We both sit in silence, eating our popcorn whilst watching the people slowly stream into the theatre. I slowly lean over towards Lee to see why he had taken out his phone. He had just taken a selfie of himself and is about to tweet it. I look at what he is typing and my eyes widen.

It said: Watching the new Marvel movie with someone special. I hope it's a great movie, well it has to be since my great friend @EL is in it! #AntMan

"We are watching Ant Man!" I whisper shouted to Lee in his ear.

He jolts suddenly, getting a shock and recovers before looking at me with a smile. "Surprise!"

"This is amazing! It even has Evangeline Lilly in it!" I exclaimed.

"I told you a close friend of mine was in it" he smiles.

"True"

I then realise the second reason why my eyes widened. "You think I am special?"

"Yes, you are very special, especially to me" he looks into my eyes and I look into his.

He slowly leans in, and I lean in too. But all of a sudden, the lights dim out and the screen lights up. We both quickly move away and make ourselves comfortable like nothing happened. I could feel my face burning so I ate popcorn to pretend I wasn't embarrassed.

I just almost kissed LEE PACE!

I think it was halfway through the movie where Lee slowly put his arm around me and I slowly leaned on his shoulder. At first it was awkward but then we relaxed and stayed like that for the rest of the movie. I didn't think of what happened just before the movie.

The movie ended and I looked up at Lee.

"Well, what did you think of the movie?" Lee asked with a smile.

"It was amazing! I loved it!" I exclaimed with a smile.

"That's good" he smiles and we get up to leave.

The walk back to the car, Lee had his arm around my waist the entire time, holding me close and never letting go. I didn't mind of course, I loved it actually. So I leaned into him, it was also because it was still winter and I was cold.

We get into the car and Lee drives us home. We talk the whole way home about the movie and how amazing it is and then getting into a little debate on which actor is better and why.

Arriving home, Lee dashes out of the car first and runs to my side of the car. I look at him questionably through the window and he opens the door for me with a smile.

"My lady"

"Why thank you" I take his hand and smile at him.

He shuts the car door and I unlock the door to the house. The first thing, like always, Wolf jumps up at me. Luckily Lee caught me before I fell over.

"Hey buddy" I ruffle his fur and Lee does the same as he passes.

Wolf follows me to my bedroom and Lee goes to his own. I shove Wolf into my room and follow after him, making sure he doesn't go to Lee's room instead.

Walking towards my bathroom, I grab my phone out of my bag and toss the bag on the bed. I sit on the edge of the bathtub while looking at Lee's twitter profile. I like his tweet and retweet it before looking at all the comments below. I laugh at most of the comments which are like "Who is that special person LEE!" or "Is it Richard?" I face palm mentally and see other comments like "Ant Man is such a great movie" I agree with that. And then there are those comments where people are like "LEE I LOVE YOU" or "YOU LOOK REALLY GOOD" or "I WANT TO BE WHOEVER IS NEXT TO YOU"

I close twitter and press Spotify. I shuffle my playlist and plug my phone to the speakers. I know, many find it weird when I listen to music during a shower. But hey, don't judge! Lush Life by Zara Larsson begins to play and I begin to dance as I walk into the shower. I didn't care if Lee heard, I probably would later but for now, I will dance and sing my heart out in the shower.

Half an hour later of singing and dancing and showering, I step out and dry myself before wrapping the towel around my body. I open my bathroom door to see Wolf asleep like a puppy on my bed so I turn off the music from my phone and put my phone on charge. I walk over to my wardrobe and open it to find my underwear. I find the first one I see and put it on. I then put on my pj's before tossing my towel somewhere in the room. I shut the wardrobe and sit next to Wolf on the bed. I stare at him for a few moments, thinking about ways to move Wolf without waking him up. He looks so peaceful and cute. I give up and end up laying my head on his stomach. I feel his head jolt up to look at me and then carefully moves to make me more comfortable. I wrap my arms around him and snuggle more into his soft warm fur. I feel Wolf slowly go back to sleep.

I am almost about to fall asleep when I hear a knock on my door. I carefully unwrap my arms off Wolf and get up off the bed. I head to the door and quickly brush myself off of all Wolf's fur. I open the door to Lee who is wearing grey trackies and a loose white singlet.

"Hey! I wanted to say goodnight" He said, looking down at me. He was at least a head taller than me, my head reaching just above his chin.

"Oh" I open the door wider so I can get out to the corridor. I close the door slightly, checking on Wolf before turning back to Lee. "Thanks so much for the movie tonight, I loved it"

"Your welcome" he smiles and slowly wraps his arms around my waist. I blush slightly and slowly wrap my arms around his neck and giving him a hug, my head resting on his chest. He rests his head in the side of my neck, I can feel his warm breath against my neck. We pull apart but our arms still in the same position. I look up at him and he looks down at me. He slowly leans his head down closer to me, he looks in my eyes, as if looking for permission. I nod slightly and he smiles before pressing his lips against mine. It took me a second to register what was happening before I kissed him back. It was slow and sweet. I felt fireworks light up in my stomach. We stayed like that for a while before pulling apart and resting our foreheads together, catching our breaths. We both smile before Lee gives me one last kiss and leaves to his room. I stand at my door for a while, a smile still on my face.

"Nice singing by the way" he laughs and then closes his door. I groan in embarrassment.
