chapter 22

~~Walk, walk, walk up the hill,I'll pay for all the dinner bills,

Walk, walk, walk with me, We wanna be sometimes carefree

Walk, walk and talk to me,So you'll not be tired and be happy

Hoseok sang rhymes while walking.

"Hyung I swear if you continue rambling, I'll yeet you out of this hill."

Taehyung warned gritting his teeth. He is tired from walking on that long ass stairs. Also, the chill air and breeze are annoying Taehyung so much.

" You are lagging. So, I'm singing to cheer you up."

Hoseok answered loudly looking at the younger one who was 20 steps behind him.

Yes, Taehyung is not used to hiking or climbing. He sighed and sat on the stairs panting.

Hoseok reached to the younger and stood in front of him,

"Are you tired?"

"Absolutely"

"Ok then take some rest."

he handed him a water bottle.

Then Taehyung received a photo from Jimin.

Message from Chimmie:

we went bowling and gonna have lunch at a seaside restaurant. Moni is so lovely 😍. He also arranged for a romantic dinner. You didn't text me. I guess you're having a nice time😏 don't wanna disturb bye!!

"Nice time,"Taehyung rolled his eyes and saw the huge stairs behind him.

After drinking half of the bottle, He gave it to Hoseok.

There was a comfortable silence.

After a while, they both continued walking. The younger couldn't keep up with the pace and stumbled. Then he held Hoseok's hand for support.

This made the other a blushing mess. He smiled at him and the intertwined hands.

Finally, they reached the temple.

Hoseok explained some childhood stories of him pointing at some places excitedly.

Taehyung doesn't focus on his stories but on his face. He admired how the older one is happy about little things.

And the way his doe eyes held millions of sparkling stars that all lit up his sunshine smile expressing pure happiness. The way His cute dimples pop out sometimes makes him more adorable.

He felt like he was stargazing at the moment.

Hoseok finished talking and saw the other staring at him with a small smile.

He snapped his fingers in front of his face.

"Tae are you here?"

Taehyung shook his head.

"Yeah, I'm listening. "

"I don't think so"

Hoseok muttered and they reached a spot where you can enjoy the scenery and settled on a bench to watch the view.

That was such an incredible view.

The hill was surrounded by light fog resembling the mystic smoke of a fairy. The sky had only white and grey clouds with no hint of sun rays. They can see the faint city view amidst the fog. The cool breeze made some leafless trees sway in erratic motion also making them shiver sometimes.

Hoseok looked at the scenery and Taehyung gazed at the scenery that sat beside him.

"You've been staring at me too long"Hoseok asked, his eyes fixed on the swaying trees.

The other looked away embarrassed.

"Do you want to ask anything?"Now the older looked at Taehyung.

"No... Actually, I don't wanna ruin the moment"

"It's okay, I won't take it seriously."

"No need hyung"

"You've been doing this a lot lately. Just spill it instead of keeping it to yourself"

Taehyung fiddled with his fingers and finally opened his mouth.

"What will you do if I love someone else?"

Hoseok smiled slightly and tilted his head thinking hard.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to - "

"Then I'll stop making a move on you, respect your choice and continue to be your friend. I'll cry and feel sad for the rejection though."

He explained it calmly.

Taehyung nodded and patted the other shoulder.

"Also I won't allow you to fall for Jungkook again. Once a cheater, always a cheater.Then I'll snatch you from him and keep you with me forever."

Hoseok laughed slightly at his silliness. He was expecting Taehyung to laugh but he kept staring at him.

"What now?"

Taehyung held the other's hands.

"Then keep me with you forever. I want to get lost in your love maze and never exit from you. Will you?"

He looked sincerely at Hoseok.

The older thought that time froze around him. He couldn't process anything. His crush is finally confessing to him. The love of his life is willing to reciprocate his feelings. Happy tears rushed through his eyes and a tear escaped flowing down his cheeks.

"Hyung, Don't cry."

"That's tears of joy. I - I'm so happy Tae."

He hugged his idol tightly. Taehyung embraced him feeling his warmth.

"So what is my answer hyung?"

"You are always welcome to my maze."He chuckled and snuggled into his chest.

"Thank you for the honor hyung"

"I can't believe this is happening. It's like a dream Tae"

Then the younger pinched Hoseok's cheeks.

The other winced and slapped his hands.

"It hurts"

"See, you are not dreaming hyung"Taehyung grinned.

Hoseok pulled away, "Don't call me hyung"

"Then what should I call you?"

"There are many. Hoseok, Hobi, Jhope, hoba, SeokSeok, etc "He beamed his iconic smile.

He nodded and cupped the olders cheeks and attached their foreheads.

They locked their eyes with one another. Their breath hit each other's lips and stayed like that.

"Taehyung"

"Hmm"

"I love you"

"I love you too Hobi"Taehyung smiled and closed the gap between their lips.

The kiss lasted only a few seconds and Hoseok pulled away.

"Why?"Taehyung whined

"This is a temple stupid"

"Yeah I forgot"

They both giggled and held their hands while walking down the hill.

--- thank you Jimin ---Hoseok thanked him in his mind.

"Hobi"

"Yeah"

"Can we go on a date that involves less sporting? This is tiring"

"Okay Tae"

He looked at their interlaced fingers that were meant to be held all their emotions forever and flashed his biggest smile ever.

Also, you know life is not always a bed of roses,Even roses have thorns.'Some' handle with care,And the 'some' is very rare.

What happens if other than the 'some' seizes the gentle bloom.

Will it be a mess? Or will they survive with him?

Time will answer...
