As the orphans stopped after running for awhile, they noticed they were in the middle of nowhere.

Violet: wait, there's a sign.

Klaus: Village of Foul Devotees?

Isadora: a town, That way.

They walked the direction the sign had said and walked through the village. There were lots of crows in it.

Duncan: look, town hall, we could ask if we could stay here.

They opened the doors to see people having some sort of meeting.

Violet: hello, we are violet, klaus and sunny Baudelaire, and this is-

Guy: we've heard about you orphans in the paper. We were actually just talking about count olaf and his crimes.

Violet: crimes?

Guy: yes, we've been informed of his arson and kidnapping.

Klaus: that means you can help us.

Guy: yes, don't worry children. We will have a punishment for him.

Klaus: what about his daughter. He has a daughter.

Guy: oh yes, she is here aswell. She will be cared for too.

Guy: we have our new chief of police looking after him, and the detective who found Count Olaf.

Violet: a detective?

Guy: bring him in.

The Baudelaires and Quagmires watched as Esmé Squalor dressed as a cop brought in a man they hadn't seen before. He was dressed to look like olaf.Isabelle followed them in. She was wearing striped blue and white pants with the white shirt she had on before. She saw them and smiled sadly.

Esmé: here is Count Olaf, and I am your new chief of police, Officer Luciana.

Violet: sir, this man is not count olaf.

Guy: then who is he?

Klaus: we don't know... but count olaf has a tattoo of an eye on his ankle.

Guy: this man does have an eye on his ankle.

The man showed his ankle, which had the same tattoo as isabelle and olaf.

Violet: that doesn't prove-

Guy: yes it does! Bring him back to the jail. Young lady, will you please stand with these orphans and we will get you 6 a proper home

Isabelle gladly skipped over to the Baudelaires and Quagmires.

Klaus: who is that man?

Isa: that man is good, he is being framed by olaf.

Violet: where is olaf?

Isa: I'm not sure.. he just made me go with Esmé and now I'm here.

The doors swung open.

Olaf was dressed very weirdly, in a purple outfit.

Olaf: hello ladies and gentlemen! My name is Detective Dupin, and I caught that handsome villain Count Olaf.

Olaf glared at isabelle and shifted his eyes to the Baudelaires.

Olaf: he will not harm these orphans anymore! We have put him in the town jail where he will stay until you kind folks come up with a punishment.

Guy: sounds great, thank you detective.

Olaf did finger guns at the man and left.

Guy: you six may leave and explore the town until we have a home for you here.

Violet: thank you.

The children followed violet outside.

Isa: may we go to the jail? We need to talk to that man.

Violet: we don't even know him!

Isa: but I do. I'm going no matter what any of you say.

She started walking away. Klaus started following her but violet took his arm.

Violet: klaus.

The Baudelaires and Quagmires watched as she walked into the town jail, they followed and stopped at the entrance and tried to watch.

They saw her walk up to the man.

Isa: how did you get here?

Man: I was trying to save you but then olaf found me.

Isa: I'm so sorry I'll get you out.

They heard footsteps from the other door on the other side of where the children were.

Man: you need to go, come see me again soon.

Isa: bye.. I love you.

Man: I love you too.

Isabelle ran out and she stopped and stared at the Baudelaires and Quagmires.

Isa: you were listening.

Violet: I'm sorry but we wanted to know.

Isa: you mean you did.

Isabelle walked back to the town hall.
