Violet peeked back into the jail, she saw Esmé was talking to the man.

Esmé: where is the sugarbowl?

Man: I don't have it. I don't know where it is.

Esmé: I bet it's with your sister, isn't it?

Man: I said i don't know!

Esmé: fine.

Violet watched as Esmé walked out the back door and violet snuck inside. She walked up to the man in the jail cell.

Violet: I'm not here to hurt you, I'm good.

Man: I know who you are, violet.

Violet: how do you know me?

Man: I knew your parents..

Violet: and you know isabelle?

Man: yes.. she is my niece. My name is Jaques Snicket.

Violet: are you olaf's brother?

Jaq: no, no, olaf doesn't have any siblings, isabelle's mother is my sister.

Violet: that makes sence, but why do you have the same eye tattoo as her and olaf?

Jaq: it's not an eye.

He turned his ankle and showed her it

Jaq: it's the letters V.F.D I'm part of a secret organization, same with olaf, isabelle, and your parents. It was once a noble organization, but then a schism happened. Schism means there was a split between us because of a certain sugarbowl that belonged to Esmé. It was stolen by-

But then they heard Olaf's voice from outside.

Olaf: that brat keeps running away.

Violet smiled at Jaques and quickly ran out of the jail.

She didn't want to look back inside and eavesdrop, so instead she looked around and realized the Quagmires, her siblings, and isabelle were gone.

Suddenly her arm was yanked.She glanced to her left and her eyes met klaus.

Klaus: c'mon! We are hiding out until we can leave.

She followed him to the back of the market of the village and the Quagmires and isabelle were all sitting on a blanket.

They sat down.

Isabelle: okay, we need to plan a jailbreak, so we can-

Violet: how come you never told us about VFD?

Isabelle looked at her.

Isa: because I didn't think you were ready.

Klaus: what is VFD?

Violet told them about what Jaques told her.

Isa: he didn't tell you who stole the sugarbowl from Esmé?

Violet: no. He didn't have time to.

Isa: it was your mother.. and my other uncle. They were in love, at the time. So was my mother and Olaf. Before the schism was when they had me.

Klaus: that means we could have been cousins.

Isabelle looked at klaus.

Isa: that would have been a bummer.

Klaus blushed.

Violet: you were saying something about a jailbreak?

Isa: oh, yeah. We need to get Jaques out of the jail, and I have a plan.
