Chapter 8: Trust

*Jay and Melissa were asleep and Gretchen had called Melissa to let her know she was on the way and couldn't wait to see her.

She was asleep but Jay heard her phone and kissed Melissa to wake her up. *

Melissa; * smiles and kisses Jay back.* Good Morning.

Jay: Good Morning beautiful your phone is ringing.

Melissa;* pops up and grabs her phone from the nightstand and in her sleep daze answers the phone like it is a work call and both Gretchen and Jay crack the hell up.* Gonzalez.

Gretchen: * laughs* Hey Detective I have a case that needs to be solved.

Melissa; * Still going with how tired she is.* Okay what is the case?

Gretchen: * cracks up laughing.* Girl, It's too easy right now to mess with you.

Melissa; * looks around and gently pokes Jay who is cracking up laughing.* What day is it? * looks at the calendar on her phone rolls her eyes and falls back on the bed and Jay wraps his arms around her. * Hey girl what's up I am sorry!

Gretchen: Has work been crazy?

Melissa; Yeah and one of our detectives got killed while undercover. So it was a hard day and night yesterday.

Gretchen: Well then you need this night then?

Melissa: here is the plan we three pick you up tonight.

Gretchen: sure sounds good!

Melissa: we take you to my place and drop off your stuff.

Gretchen: excellent!

Melissa: freshen up if you need to.

Gretchen: I love this plan.

Melissa: then we take your ass to Mollys and we get drunk as hell.

Jay: So after Molly's, we're going to go play pool.

Jay: Yeah * laughs*

Melissa; oh my god my bestie and boyfriend have bonded.

Melissa; Yeah but he needs to bond with Gretchen.

Jay: Severide has a girlfriend.

Gretchen: All alright I am grabbing the last of my stuff my mom and dad are going to ship me the remainder.

* They hang up and then Melissa places her phone on the nightstand and Jay gently grabs her and covers her in kisses. She giggles and looks at Jay and he is tickling her. *

Melissa; Baby! stop!

Jay: * smiles* What?

Melissa; you're tickling me.

Melissa: Yes. * smiles*

Jay: * Kisses Melissa deeply and passionately and lets the kiss linger before slowly breaking off. * Like this?

* Jay kisses Melissa deeply gently pulls Melissa with him and gently positions her to straddle him.*

* Melissa and Jay spend the morning wrapped up in the sheets having sex till finally, Melissa needs to make sure her place is clean. She laughs at the amount of clothes that are strewn all over her place. *

Jay: Babe pick up the phone, please. * His phone rings and it is Erin.* Fuck now she is calling me.

Melissa; Baby just ignore her!

* Jay and Melissa finish cleaning and then Melissa realizes she needs to go to the store to make sure she has all the things she and Gretchen and everyone else needs.

She had more than enough liquor so she stocked up on snacks and then everything else.

Then She looked at Gretchen's room and laughed the last time it was used was when Jay stayed over but ended up cuddling with her.

She smiles it looks perfectly clean and she then stocks Gretchen's bathroom and stocks Gretchen's room with things she knows Gretchen will need.

She then walked into her room and saw a holy mess. She groans and Jay walks over and chuckles.*

Jay: What's the matter babe?

Melissa; I don't know where my clothes start and yours end.* Laughs*

Jay: Wow we trashed your room.

Melissa; * walks over to Jay wraps her arms around him and kisses him.* It's almost like you and I are living together.

Jay;* smiles. and wraps his arms around Melissa and kisses her back.* Not yet babe!

Melissa; you haven't been to your place in what?

Jay: I have to get things.

Melissa; Baby Come with me.

Jay: Where?

Melissa; * walks over to her closet and there is a side empty gently taking Jay with her. * This is your space in my closet.

Melissa; I want when you're over here to feel comfortable and so here is your side of my closet. Just DON'T go on my side of the closet.

Melissa; Jay called you when I was in the hospital and you didn't call him back once.

Melissa: * Smiles and looks at Jay she is wearing a red mini dress with high-heeled boots and a leather jacket to go with it her hair is down and she has finished the final touch on her hair and makeup.* What's the matter?

* Melissa and Jay head out to his truck and she laughs when Jay and her get in the car he is already reaching over trying to rest his hand on her thigh tickling her.*

Jay: * smiles and holds Melissa's hand* Later?

Jay and Melissa and Gretchen and Mouse all talk as they walk back to Jay's truck and Jay and Mouse help Gretchen load her stuff in his truck.

They laugh and talk as they head to Melissa's place. Once they arrive the guys carry Gretchen's stuff and once up in Melissa's place, Gretchen is all excited.

Melissa shows her where her room is. Gretchen places her stuff in her room and then changes her shirt and then they are off to Molly's.

* Melissa looks at Jay as she hands the cards to everyone. She then explained the rules.*

Melissa: Alright listen up!

Gretchen: here come the rules!

Mouse: Miss rulemaker!

Jay: let's chill!

Mouse: oh see Gretchen, we have Miss Rulemaker and Mister Enforcer!

Jay:  * Laughs* I'm gonna get you for that!

Melissa: * rolls her eyes* So when you get a skip, reverse, it's one shot.

Gretchen: yeah!

Melissa: When you get a draw two it is two shots and draw four is four shots.

Jay: * smiles* if someone changes the color and you don't have a way to change the color you take a shot each time you draw a card.

Mouse: We all are gonna get drunk!

Gretchen: teams?

Melissa: I guess we could.

Mouse: yeah then we wont get as drunk!

Jay: if Melissa puts down a draw four and says red you don't have red you and Grerchen take four shots each.

Melissa: and a shot each time you draw a card till you have the color red!

Gretchen: wow! Rule maker!

Melissa: * smiles* let's do this.

* Melissa and Jay were laughing each time they chose a color and or put down a draw four for Gretchen and Mouse.

Then laughed harder when Gretchen. Saved a whole bunch of draw-fours. Jay and Melissa kept taking shots but we're not affected by it yet.

Mouse and Gretchen had plenty of time to sober up. They beat Jay and Melissa and celebrated with a kiss. Jay and Melissa being hella buzzed were being obnoxious. *

Melissa: you can come up for air!

Jay: * laughs* says the girl who likes to make out for hours!

Melissa: Jay! * laughs* shhhh! You're not supposed to say stuff like that!

Jay: * laughs gently pulling Melissa towards him.* I love you.

Melissa: * laughs and willingly goes with Jay* I love you too.

*Mouse and Gretchen ignore Jay and Melissa and continue kissing. Melissa and Jay kiss and Jay and Melissa stop kissing to see about what Mouse and Gretchen want to do after a while. *

Jay: Hey you two!

Melissa: * smiles and snuggles into Jay.* You hoo!

*Mouse and Gretchen stop kissing and look at Jay and Melissa*

Gretchen: yes mom!

Mouse: yes dad!

Melissa: You thank your lucky stars I'mNot your mom!

Jay:  You're blessed I'm not your dad!

Gretchen: * laughs* what's up?

Mouse: What's going on Melly Bean and Jay?

Melissa: What do you all want to do?

Jay: Yeah?

Mouse: * smiles* Oh if Gretchen wants to we like to go back to what she and I were doing before Mom and Dad interrupted us.

Gretchen: * laughs* I agree with Mouse, minus the mom and dad part.

Jay: * looks at Mouse* You better be a perfect gentleman as usual!

Mouse: * to quote Jay* what kind of dog do you think I am?

Jay: * laughs* it's just this is Melissa's and my friend Gretchen I am making sure you know to take care of her.

Gretchen: * smiles* Thanks, Jay!

Jay: Think of me like your big brother!

Melissa: * kisses Jay on the cheek* Thank you, babe!

Mouse: Why don't you leave us be?

Melissa: * laughs* Jay, I think we need to leave!

Jay: * smiles and laughs* have fun my friend!

Mouse: You too!

Gretchen: * walks over to Melissa and hugs her.* have fun!

Jay: Lucky you two won't hear any of it!

Mouse:* laughs* soundproof?

Gretchen: * laughs* still with her damn soundproof rooms.

Jay: * laughs* thank the sex Gods for Soundproof!

Melissa: * eyes go wide and look at Jay* Jay Alexander -

Jay & Melissa: * Jay mimics Melissa* Halstead!

Melissa: * screams when Jay lifts her* Jay! I can walk!

Jay: * laughs* I am fully aware miss independent!

* Jay takes Melissa to her room shuts the door and smiles tossing her in the bed. Jay kisses her and smiles*

Jay: It's later!

Melissa: * laughs* So you're ready hun?

Jay: * smiles pulling Melissa to him.* I have been patient enough. 

* Melissa pins Jay to the bed and smiles as she talks to him.*

Melissa: Then let's not have you wait any longer then.

* Melissa laughs as she straddles him, Jay watches her and sits up and she gently lifts her dress and takes it off but Jay can't take his eyes off of her.

Melissa gently tosses her dress and then pulls Jay to her lifts his shirt off and tosses it. Jay flips them and admires Melissa. *

Jay: Damn!

Melissa: * smiles* you like it?

Jay: turquoise is my new favorite color.

Melissa: * smiles* I knew it.

* Jay gently pulled Melissa to him and unhooked her bra took it off and tossed it Melissa undid his belt tossed it unbuttoned unzipped his pants and pulled them down.

Jay gently removes Melissa's panties and tosses them and then Melissa sits up and removes Jay's boxers and he gently positions himself before thrusting into her.

The moan that climbed its way out of Melissa's throat was downright sinful. Jay wanted to hear it again and again. He kisses Melissa like a man starved. Like he'd been waiting all this time.

Like the possibility of the two of them doing this but he'd set it aside, stored it away in a deep, dark place where it had grown into something fearsome and out of control.*

Melissa: Mmmm Jay!

Jay: Yes baby?

* Jay groaned as he pounded into her, a hand moving from her hip to her hair, tugging her head back, baring her throat.

She gave herself over to it, to him, and the lack of control was so heady, so pleasurable that she could barely stand it. He thrust harder, so deep with this angle that she might have been screaming.

The tingle between her legs grew to a warm center of pleasure and then to an outright ache of need.

Then she was gasping for breath and trying to focus on what Jay was whispering in her ear.

Jay: Should I stop? * smiles nibbling on her neck and thrusting into her harder.*

Melissa: No, no, don't you dare stop!* moans loudly and feels pleasure wash over her body. *

Jay: * smiles kissing Melissa* That's it, baby!

* Melissa gripped onto Jay and soon she came undone and he came undone with her. Jay and Melissa snuggled close together in bed and talked and caught their breath.

Jay ran his fingers through her hair while she rested her chin on his chest. They looked at each other.

Meanwhile, Mouse and Gretchen put music on and talked. Sitting on the couch and just laughing. They enjoyed getting to know each other.*

Gretchen: Oh my god! I can't believe you still went through with that.

Mouse: * laughs* Yeah I mean Jay did it I had no option but to follow suit!

Gretchen: plus you said you would.

Mouse: * laughs* There is that too!

Gretchen: you and Jay have been best friends for a long time huh?

Mouse: yes we have. You and Melly Bean have known each other for about the same length of time as Jay and I have known each other.

Gretchen: I was getting my medical degree and she was talking about being a cop in Chicago.

Mouse: She has always wanted to be a cop?

Gretchen: Yeah she has spoken of nothing else.

Mouse: She is a damn good one.

Gretchen: I'm glad she can still be a cop.

Mouse: After her kidnapping, it was touch and go with the healing time.

Gretchen: * nods* I spoke to her every day. She didn't think she would have her job back.

Mouse: Jay told me she would cry a lot.

Gretchen: She told me she is the happiest when she is up in intelligence with you all.

Mouse: We love working with her.

Gretchen: * smiles* I hope I love working at Chicago Med too.

Mouse: Will, Jay's brother is a doctor over there.

Gretchen: I will be working with him and Ethan a lot.

Mouse: They are buddies. They will help you.

Gretchen: Yes, Melissa told me to stick with Will.

Mouse: Will and Melissa are buddies.

Gretchen: She said Will is cool when he is not being her doctor.

Mouse: Yes then she and he fight.

Gretchen: * texts Melissa: You two okay in there?lol* Yeah she tells me that.

Mouse: * Texts Jay: You two okay in there?:)* Yeah they are too quiet in there.

Gretchen: * Text from Melissa: Oh yes ;)* we won't hear them with the room being soundproof.

Mouse: * Text from Jay: Yes we're more than okay ;)* True. * laughs*

* Gretchen and Mouse ended up watching a movie while Mouse and Gretchen were watching a movie. Jay and Melissa were lying in bed smiling and laughing.*

Jay: You getting texts from Gretchen?

Melissa: mhm are you getting texts from Mouse?

Jay: Yes. * smiles kissing Melissa.* Baby, I am glad we got to have a night like tonight.

Melissa: * smiles kissing Jay back.* me too my love.

Jay: * running his fingers through her hair.* We can plan more nights like tonight together.

Melissa: * smiles and sighs happily when she feels Jay running his fingers through her hair* I would love that.

Jay: * kisses Melissa.* Then we will do it more often. 

Melissa: * kisses Jay and gently pulls Jay to her.* I look forward to it.

Jay: * smiles * should we get dressed and check on them?

Melissa: * smiles* Baby, please stay in bed with me.

Jay: * chuckles* You're so cute.

Melissa: * smiles* I wasn't going for cute.

Jay: * kisses Melissa* I'm sorry hun.

* Melissa and Jay eventually get dressed and come out and notice Mouse and Gretchen fall asleep cuddled together watching a movie.

Melissa grabs a blanket and covers them. She smiles at Jay and he smiles at Gretchen and Mouse.

Jay grabs two water bottles and some fruit. Melissa sees Jay and softly giggles*

She then walks back to her bedroom with Jay and grabs a water bottle from Jay. She then sits on the bed with him. They talk and laugh and Mouse and Gretchen slept on the couch.*

Melissa: So this was fun.

Jay: Yes it was.

Melissa: They look cute out there.

Jay: They do.

* Melissa and Jay kiss and have sex off and on all night and then they eventually fall asleep.

Mouse woke up and noticed Gretchen was asleep and he smiled and snuggled with her more on the couch.

She was content in Mouse's arms. Melissa and Jay felt like they were in a good place and were feeling like they could finally catch their breath and take the time to enjoy all that was around them and that was happening to them.

Hopefully, nothing serious was going to happen. However, in Jay Melissa, and Mouse's line of work, anything can happen in the blink of an eye. *
