"So Y/n, why was that you walked out on the streets by your lonesome? I never caught that." Steve sat up straight looking at me. Every-time they remember me, I feel like a complete idiot. Why was I walking by my lonesome at night? I should've just gone home after watching the movie.. "Steve, she never threw it." Two-bit smirked, and they both cackled. I just sighed and rolled my eyes, I saw Dallas do the same without knowing it. "I'll be right back doll."
"Well Y/n how you been?"
I shrugged, "I'm alright now.."
Steve and Two-bit grinned at each other. Not sure why, but I saw Steve's missin' tooth and crooked teeth and I couldn't help but snort. He looked back at me and raised a brow. "What's so funny sweetheart?" I licked my teeth to hint and he got it. "My teeth?"I nodded. "Oh yeah, well um I was on this rumble and this Soc punched me straight in the face, right in my mouth. He broke my lips and tooth. I couldn't find my tooth after; it went missin'" I nodded, hiding my smile. "Well, I uhm. I'm sorry I guess to hear 'bout that. Hope you find it."
Awkward silence..
Two-bit bursted out laughing making me jump. "Steve tell the poor girl the truth. That your goofy self tripped on a rock and fell flat on your face!"
I smiled, making Two-bit laugh even more. Steve blushed madly and frowned. "Shut your trap Two-bit." He rolled his eyes and sat on the couch.
"Y/n!" I turned to see Sodapop again walking towards me. Blue eyes meeting my Y/E/C eyes. He smiled, "Do you mind sleeping in my room? I can sleep on the couch, I just need to bring my baby-brother... he's studying there."
"Oh yeah thanks, but I can sleep on the cou-"
"On my bed, It's not right you sleep on the couch Y/n/n."
I felt myself blush. I haven't heard the nickname in a while and it made my stomach flutter.
"I'll be right back alright? I'mma bring my baby brother." He said, giving me that movie star smile and running to his room. I didn't see Two-bit go to the kitchen but somehow he came outta there holding a bottle of beer and a plate with cake."Hey Y/n wanna watch Mickey with me and Stevie boy?" He hollered, flopping down on the couch and resting his stuff on the ground."Uh sure.." I walked over and sat on the edge of the couch. Glancing to the screen where I barely saw. Two-bit sat straight and scooted over before patting the seat next to him and grinned. "Hey I don't bite baby, unless you want me to." I rolled my eyes and smiled before plopping down beside him.
"This is my favorite part!" He said like an actual child. The smile he had made me chuckle."Mickey's on the train breaking the rules like a total badass by sneakin' Pluto and making the guard's life a mess!"
"You watched it before?"
Two-bit turned away from the screen and nodded with a wide childish grin. "We're all obsessed with Mickey here; especially Two-tit." Steve blurted out; Two-bit quickly jumped on him, making him cough and tackled him down on the floor. Two-bit wrapped an arm around his neck, choking the day-lights outta him. Steve tried to wrestle him but it was of no use; Two-bit had him down. "Kay! Okay! I apologize damn it!" Steve managed to cry out, while clenching his jaw. Two-bit looked at him and smirked before letting go. "Fine, You're just too weak for me."He playfully punched his shoulder, flexing his biceps. I saw Steve roll his eyes and massage his neck. He was in a shade of pink, either from embarrassment or because Two-bit was actually cutting his air off. "Maybe because you jumped on me without a warning."
I shook my head and laughed softly, receiving a frown from Steve. "It's not funny Y/n. Two almost broke my neck."
"Yeah? Well that's for callin' me Two-tit, although I do have two tits.."
I scrunched my nose playfully and chuckled. "You guys are weird." Two-bit grinned and shrugged. Now we all watched in comfortable silence. I kept getting distracted by the view around me. It had been years since I came to this house and seeing it gave me a sense of calm and nostalgia. It was the beginning of a small friendship and get alongs with the family. And ironically I, Sodapop, and his brothers have lost our parents. That was an event that separated us. Not only by distance but communication. I had to move farther into the town, were my grandparents lived. They passed the house to me before they died. Grandfather felt grief at the news of his daughter and son-in-law passing away, he died of lung cancer at 72. Grandma was always alone, trying to speak but mostly gets lost in her memories--forgeting her only grandchild. But now I was back and accompanied Β by Sodapop, Two-bit, Steve even Dallas.. I was grateful.
