We really appreciate you volunteering"Max flips her hair and chuckles, "whatever let's start-.""Wait- how do we play?" El let's go of my arm, "I have never played..hide and seek?" Max sighs and smiles, "so basically, there's going to be a person who will start to count to 30 once, they are IT. You have to hide before they are done counting. Once, they're done they will find the people who are hiding. If they find the hider will lose but if the seeker doesn't than the hider wins. However the version we're playing is that, I'll count and when I'm done I turn off the lights and try to find you guys.""Why? Why do you turn off light?" Will and max both sigh at the same time and will chuckles quietly. "To make the game harder for me.""Ohhh, okay okay! I got it" el puts up a thumbs up and grins, "okay I'll start.""1 2 3..." max starts to count, we all run in different directions looking for a hiding place. It was difficult to find a hiding place because it was either too small or someone was already in the hiding place. The lights turn off, I start to worry, I can't lose first. I start to feel my surroundings, I find a closet and quietly open it.I get on my knees and start to crawl around, sometimes bumping into things.But, I hit something...weird? I hear an "oof", my cheeks go hot. I just hit will's butt with my..."Oh shit, are you okay will?" I whisper, still not wanting to get caught. I hear a small chuckle, "oh, it was you mike. No, I'm fine just a weird...position." Will whispers backI get in a crisscross applesauce position, I feel Will move around too. "Hey, um, mike?" Will settles down and gets a little comfortable. "Hm? Yeah, Will?" I can hear his lips smack and his breathing, I get shivers."How did you know it was me when you...bumped into me?"I take a big breath, "you made a sound and it sounded like you, but if it wasn't you that would be...weird?"My eyes start to adjust to the dark, I can make out the shape of will's head and body. "Oh, so it wasn't weird when you hit MY butt?" I can see his cheeks grow wider, he was smiling."No! It's just I...I've known you for long. Like if I hit Dustin, that would be really awkward."Will covers his mouth, I can still hear some little giggles that escaped. "Yeah, it would be-" We go silent for a little, max was near.I heard Will gulp down his nervousness, he was competitive too. Just like me.Max bumps into the closet, making Will fall on me. He covers his mouth from making ANY sound."you okay?" I whisper super quietly, i could barely hear myself. "...yeah, she's gone." Will doesn't get up though, he uncovers his mouth and sighs very quietly."you're really warm you know that?" I get embarrassed, "I think I'm sweating, it's hot as hell in here."will covers his mouth just to muffle his laugh, "pfffh, you think so? I think it's pretty cold."Will was feeling confident or maybe it was an accident, he put his hand on my thigh. I slowly try to put my hand on top of his, his hand starts to shake. "Sorry, I'm nervous. Heh"His breathing gets a little faster and he gets a tad bit warmer, "sorry, I think I'm sweating.''Will says my joke from earlier again, I guess he thought it was funny. He finally warps his hand against mine and now...we're holding hands.Why is it such a big deal for me? Friends hold hands. Do they? Why am I freaking out? Was I flirting with Will earlier? I like el, I like el. I. Like. Eleven.
