Chapter 5

Annabeth

"AHHHHHHH!" Tears streemed down my face. All around me i heard male laughter. so far all i could tell was there was only one female. I only know that because she's towering over me now, my knife in my hand the tip smothered in blood. My hands and feet were bound really tight. They really hurt and i could feel the rope cutting the skin. But that wasn't why i was screaming.

Bella Mason, the girl that has my knife, wanted revenge on my mother. I don't know why. So to repay my mother Bella rolled up my sleeve on my left arm and started cutting. In chip choopy writing, engraved on my arm was 'Athena Spawn' The cut was very deep and hurt more than the monsters in Tartarus! Blood formed a pool under my arm.

"Does little girl want her mommy!" More laughter. "Well lets see if we can summon her SHALL WE!" She walked around me. Choosing the next place to hack at. I tried to brace myself for what she might have in plan, but nothing could brace me for this.

She stopped at my right side and smiled down at me. Her smile turned in to a snarl. Holding the blade with her index finger and her tumb she dangled it over my body. She let the blade go. With in seconds the blade penatrated my right thigh. I howled in pain. My vision went all white and i couldn't see anything. All i heard was cackles and screaches of laughter. I felt Bella come down to my level and whisper in my ear.

"I'll take the blade out when you call for your mother!" She hissed. "The longer you take the deeper it goes in!" She pushed my knife deeper in. I whimpered and shook my head. "Call her Annie then the pain will be over!" I shook my head again and she pushed the blade in further, not releasing the preassure. "CALL HER!" She punch me round the face. Blinding light filled my vision again. Unable to take it any more i called for my mother. I tried the normal way. It didn't work. Earning my another punch.

"I CAN' DO IT!" I broke down crying. "I can't please let me go! please!" The leader came down from were he sat and just looked at me.

"We won't stop until you call your mother Annabeth! And besides... Its your punishment as much as Athena's!"

*UP ON OLYMPUS*

"SHE'S MY DAUGHTER! YOU GONNA LET HER DIE!" Athena was fuming. All Olympians were watch Annabeth get tortured. Athena was about to go and get her daughter and rescue her, but she knows its a trap.

"ATHENA!" Zues's voice boomed over hers. "I will not have you go and risk yourself for a demigod!"

"She's my daughter-"

"And you have many more! What makes her more important?"

"She's not like the others! CAN'T YOU SEE SHE'S WILLING TO RISK HER OWN LIFE NOT TO SUMMON ME! THE LEAST I CAN DO FOR MY OWN DAUGHTER IS RESCUE HER!"

"NO! THAT IS MY FINAL DESCISION!"

Athena wasn't listening. She changed in to her battle armor and turned to the other Gods and Goddess's.

"Who's going to come with me? After all she's down for us! She's risked her life to many times for us! She built us a new home! Went through Tartarus just to defeat Gia! And gone to battle for us twice! Even when we abandoned her the first time! That little girl has done far more than you lot like to care about! So are you with me?" Silence. Then Artemis stood up. Followed by every one else apart from Zues. Poseidon was still sitting down, thinking.

"Poseidon? Thats your sons girlfriend! Although i don't like him, i do know he will never let anything happen to her! So if you have any sense help me?!" Poseidon looked at her. Then he stood up. He smiled at Athena and then turned to his brother.

"Brother you have passed so many stupid laws in the past, and barely any of us have bound by it, especially you! So are you gonna help us rescue that girl, thats done so much for us, or are you gonna leave her to die?" Zues didn't answer he just sat there staring forward. Poseidon nodded. "Fine let it be, but let this teach you a lesson Zues! You can't go on forever binding by laws!" The only Gods left were Hera and Zues. Every one looked at Hera.

She just waved her hand. "Let her be Athena, you have many more daughters than your precious little girl down there, she's just a lost cause! A little spawn! You don't care about her, like i do for you! You only like her as she does your business and fights your battles!"

"Your wrong Hera! I'm not like you! I didn't through my own son off of Mount Olympus because he didn't fit you "perfect" family! I didn't try to get my own back on Thalia Grace and Annabeth because they stood up to you! And can i say this! You lay one more hand on my daughter i swear i will have your head!" With that all the other ten Olympians dissapeared to go and rescue Annabeth.

*BACK ON EARTH*

The pain is unbearable! I can't take it any more! I just want Percy, Dad and every one i love with me! Even the Stolls don't seem bad, i would take their pranks than to this torture!

"Please!" I was pleading now. "Please i've down nothing wrong! Please let me go and i'll leave you alone!" It was true. i don't know why i'm here.

"Well Annabeth thats the thing you have down something wrong," The leader was leaning over me. He wiped away a tear and stroked my cheek, it made my skin crawl. "You and you bastard of a boyfriend defeated our leader!" He Punched me. I felt myself being hauled up. "You sent our leader back to Tartarus to rot! And as for your mother she just happened to be the most hate Goddess to us than Aphrodite! Your mother judge's us! Makes our life hell! So to repay her we'll take what she and Jackson most love! That happens to be you!" Several people layed into me. Punching my stomach and face.

Just then I saw something that i never thought i will be happy to see. All Olympians arrived, fully dressed in battle armour, lead by my mother. I started to cry with joy. I saw her step forward her face contorted in a horrible snarl.

"Get away from my daughter!" And with that they jumped into battle. The people that were holding me let me drop to the ground and joined in the battle. I started at my bounds. It was useless. Just then some one came up to me, picked me up in a firemans lift and ran off with me. I started struggling.

"Calm it i'm tryna help!" I looked up, hoping to see a God but it wasn't! It was one of the demigods that were in the back round. "I'm a friend of your mothers she knows that i'm here and once your in safety they'll pull away and dissapeare to safety." I nodded and tried to relax. Soon we were out of site but my rescuer didn't stop he just carried on climbing the slope.

"Where are we going?"

"A secret cave were those demigods don't know where it is. Don't worry you'll be safe, i promise." I don't know what it was about this guy but something made me trust him.

In less than five minutes we entered a cave. It was dimly lit and very warm. At the very end of the cave was a roaring fire, around the fire was all the Olypmians. I instantly noticed Zues and Hera weren't here, suprise, suprise. When we got half way in my mother came rushing up to me. Taking me out of the mystery guys arms, she held me tight and hugged me like she does it all the time. I couldn't help it, i just started to cry.

"Shhh, Shh, your ok Annabeth your safe now."

"I was so scared mom! I thought you weren't going to come!" She lifted my head up, looked me in the eye sternly and said, "I am never going to adbandon you Annabeth! I am always going to be here, i'm so sorry i took so long sweet heart it took a while to convince the others." Right then Poseidon came up to us and crouched down to our level.

"You are one tough girl, Holding up for that long just to protect your mother was a noble thing to do Annabeth. Percy is a lucky man to have you by his side." I smiled. Hearing that made my day. Poseidon smiled back got up and walked back over to the fire.

"Mom? What happens now? Do i go back to Percy? OH MY GODS! PERCY IS ON A MAN HUNT TO AVENGE ME! HE'S LEADING IN TO THEIR TRAP!" Poseidon shot up.

"Annabeth you sure?" My mother looked at me sternly.

"Yes i'm positive! If he figures out the first clue then he'll be in danger!Some one needs to go and find him!" I wriggled around and cried out. I completely forgot about the gaping hole in my side.

"Annabeth don't worry we'll go get him, but in the mean time you have to rest." Athena put me down on a bunk and Apollo replaced her. Soon i was patched up and drifting off. But of course being a demigod, were always being hunted even in our dreams.
