Chapter 6

Percy

I just doubled over in pain. My thigh was burning, my jaw and head hurts, all the time it felt like some one was punching me. What freaked me out the most was i could hear a scream, not just any one's scream but Annabeths! I was in the middle of our makeshift camp when i collapsed. I could hear Connor and Travis trying to get me to stand up and walk to the hospital. There was no chance of me standing, let alone moving.

"Perc, comon dude lets get ya to Will," They were about to lift me when i just suddenly spoke.

"I can't go to Will cuz i need to be at a destination in nineteen hours and i dunno where it is! I need to get there to get Annabeth!" I got up unsteadily and tried to walk. Instantly i feel down screaming. Suddenly i saw something weird. I was in a dark forest alcove and demigods all laughing and cheering. I looked around and my blood ran cold. I saw Annabeth lying on the floor her dagger in her side. I tried to run to her but it didn't work. Then the scene changed and thi time some one was walking off with Annabeth and i saw the Gods at battle.

I opened my eyes to see i was still in base. Connor and Travis were still trying to get me to stand up. I just couldn't move my mind wouldn't let me! Suddenly there was a flash of light and a booming voice.

"LEAVE HIM!" The Stolls put me down and the God came over. He sat me up, holding me with one arm. "Percy? You ok?"

"Dad? Annabeth she's introuble! She needs me!" My voice was drowsy and weak.

"Don't worry son, she's ok we have her. Come on.. I'm gonna take you to her."  Poseidon placed his hand over my face and said something in rapid Greek, and i felt better. I stood up, with my dads help, and looked at the crowd that stood around us. I glared them down, my dad was about to go when i told him to hang on.

At the top of my lungs i shouted to the crowd. "Who ever it is that is spying on me and my camp let me give you a message for your boss! as long as I'm here I swear to the Gods I'm gonna hunt you down and skewer you! Who ever it is that betrayed us is gonna pay for what they have done! If anything happens to Annabeth when i find out I'm gonna make your life hell! So whoever it is step forward! If you don't lets just say you don't wanna find out what i will do to you when i lay my hands on you!" With that i told my dad he can carry on and with that we dissapeared.

When we materialized we were in a cave. A brazier was lit at the very end of the cave, several beds lay along the out side of the walls. It was cozy, very cozy and warm. Thats when i noticed the Gods around the brazier. All of them looked at us. All of them stood and parted.

They parted until i saw my favorite person.

Annabeth was on makeshift crutches. I saw bandaging around her thigh and on her arm. Her face was bruised in places, her hair was a blonde birds nest, but i was happy none the less. My face lit up and i ran to Annabeth. Carefully and swiftly i picked her up. She dropped the crutch and wrapped her arms around me holding tightly, as if it ws all a dream. I put her down but she didn't let go. Thats when i realized she was crying.

"I thought i was never gonna see you again!" She burried her face in deeper. I started to well up and next thing i was crying.

"I wasn't gonna give up on you Annabeth! All i care about it that your ok! If it was me who rescued you or the Gods i'm just thankful they got there before any real damage was done." I smiled at her. She smiled back, i could still see the pain in her eyes, her fear of what has happened, and all i can do is hug her. Instead i topped that. I bent my head down to hers and kissed her passionately. She kissed me back.

When we broke i looked deep in her eyes.

"I am never gonna leave you, I'm never gonna let any one hurt you again, as long as i live i will always protect you." I kissed her again. "I love you." Annabeth ran a hand through my hair, twirling the curls at the back of my head.

"I love you to Percy, I have for a long time."  I was about to say some thing else when some one interrupted us. A guy about our age maybe older, walked in calling Annabeth. He was just about taller than me with short cropped brown hair, brown eyes and built like a rock. He just looked at me and Annabeth.

"Sorry," He turned to leave down a very dimly lit tunnel.

"Its ok Mick, Percy this is Mick he's been looking after me since they rescued me a few hours ago. Mick this is Percy my boyfriend."  We just nodded at each other. We both stood our ground not backing down. He turned to Annabeth and adress her only.

"Dinners ready, i just wanted to know if you want me to plate it up for you?"

"Is there enough for Percy?" He Just looked at me, but he nodded any way, then walked away. I turned to Annabeth and looked at her.

"I don't like him one bit!" Annabeth hugged me and pecked me on the cheeck.

"Everything is gonna be ok Perce, just be nice he helped save my life so the least you can do is be nice, for me?" She gave me puppy dog eyes and i gave in.

"So... Whats for dinner?"

Dinner was nice, it would've been perfect if Mick stopped staring at me! The whole time he was treating me like dirt and Annabeth didn't even notice! He was flirting with her as well which really didn't make me happy! He's all over her like a moth to a flame and its getting on my nerves! As if reading my thoughts Aphrodite came over and sat by me.

"Don't worry Percy everything will be fine, she loves you allot, I mean who wouldn't your so gorgeous!" I blushed at this. "Keep faith Percy everything will turn out fine in the end." With that she dissapeared, probably back to olympus. I sat there poundering on Aphrodite's words. In the mean time i was glaring at Mick and Annabeth having a great time laughing. I got up and dumped my plate on a table and walked out. I say 'walked out' i actually stormed out.

I got outside and just stood there, trying to calm down. It didn't work. Instead i ended up punching the wall repeatedly. I finally stopped whne my nuckles were a bloody mess (literally). Some of my blood was on the wall but i didn't care. I heard rustling behind me i turned to see Mick standing in the doorway to the cave. I glared at him and looked forward. I heard him move and he came and sat next to me. So there we were sitting in silence.

"Lets just get one thing straight Jackson," He turned and looked me straight in the eye. "I don't like you and you don't like me, but for Annabeth's sake lets try and get along! Your not doing her any good by sitting out here, your being selfish just think of yourself! You need to think of her now." He got up to leave but i stopped him. I started to talk and venom was in my voice.

"If you think i don't care about Annabeth you have another thing coming! I love that girl so much its unbelieveable! Since the day i met her i've always stuck by her side! Never once have i left it! She is my life and my world! All i ever do is think about her and how she feels! Anyway I'm not a selfish person!"

"Dude you so are!"

"How can i be! My fatal flaw is loyalty! And i'm completely loyal to Annabeth!" He just stood there not saying a word. "If you don't mind I'm gonna go back to my girlfriend! Oh yeah Mick next time you are all over Annabeth i will punch you!" And with that i walked away, leaving Mick with my words.
