Book 1: Chapter 42

02:56, 9 February 2015

Here is the next part, hope you enjoy it. This episode will end up being three chapters and will be finished by friday hopefully. Anyway enjoy, and if there are any mistakes tell me and I will fix them. Also if you have any idea what Harmony should do after this episode tell me because I don't really have an idea on where she would go, the only thing I had was sticking with eleven.

                                                             ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

I had taken a shower and was now trying to fix my hair into something that would work for this time period which I just ended up making it a waterfall braid because I had no idea what would fit this time period. When I walked out of the bathroom there were clothes already laid out which I assumed the Tardis had picked since it was a Tardis blue dress that would fit the era. It looked very similar to what Clara was wearing when she was a barmaid, but blue, I also had combat boots, though they would be covered by the dress.

I had made my way to the console room, only to not find the Doctor anywhere and to find the new desktop that he had changed from the retro one and was gliding my hands along it. After I had looked at the new desktop I got bored waiting for the Doctor and decided to go outside.

When I got out there I realized my mistake for going outside because I had forgotten that the Doctor had it on that cloud thingy and I was terrified of heights so I instantly went and clung to the Tardis because I did not want to go down at all. When I went to open the door it wouldn’t open and I groaned at the Tardis being mean to me and not letting me in.

“Please, let me in, I am terrified of heights, just let me in, please” I ask the Tardis though I had shut my eyes in fear. Though she still wouldn’t let me in so I just knocked on the door and it quickly was opened and I hear the Doctor’s voice.

“Harmony? What are you doing out here?” he asks me and I just sift trying to find him and once I did I clung onto him.

“Too high, way too high, can we just stay in the Tardis for the date, I don’t want to go down. Because if I do then I will not go back up here, way too high.” I mumble into his chest and I just hear him chuckling.

“No, we are going down and no buts.” he says and I start to protest and cling to him more.

“Not, moving then, you have to carry me down or whatever, we are too high up. I’ll get sick if I even look down, makes it worse. Why couldn’t you just pick somewhere low?” I ask him.

“Because that wouldn’t be fun, plus keeps the Tardis hidden” he tells me and I feel him start to go over to the stairs that lead down.

”Yea  hidden great, but you could have picked a nice more better hidden spot on the ground” I mumble

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

Once we had gotten down the stairs I felt the Doctor trying to remove me from him but that made me cling harder to him and he just sighed.

“You have to let go, the ladder….” he points out and I crack open my eye to look at him then let go of him and pout.

“I hate ladders, again why didn’t you pick somewhere easier to get in and out of?” I ask him as I start to make my way down the ladder and finally get to the ground making me sigh in relief.

“Because, it is better to be away from things” he tells me then takes my hand kissing it softly and placing it in the crook of his arm. “Shall we go my lady” he asks me making me giggle slightly at him.

“We shall kind sir” I say trying to mimicking his accent but then just drop it as I didn’t want to talk like that for the rest of the day back to my normal plain American accent “But where are we going?”

“That would ruin the surprise” he says as he leads me along the road to what it seemed was near the edge of town.

“But, I don’t like surprises, because something always goes wrong with surprises” I tell him and he stops to look at me.

“Nothing will happen, I don’t do those kind of things anymore” he tells me and I sigh knowing that he really doesn’t want to do anything like that which means I will be the one going crazy at not doing anything. “Besides, I think staying here will be nice, we can eventually pick up the twins and just stay here” he tells me and I give him a wide eyed look.

“Rebecca and Anthony right? I’ve only met them once, and I am pretty sure I haven’t had them yet” I tell him and he frowns slightly but them smiles.

“Haven’t done that yet then, well later I am sure you will enjoy it.” he tells me and we finally get to what looked like a beautiful snowy hillside that overlooked the whole town.

“It’s beautiful” I say in awe looking at the snow and just picking up a bit of it making a snowball then turning to look at the Doctor who’s back was to me and tossed it at him then quickly turned around so he wouldn’t catch me hopefully.

“Ahh, cold, cold, Harmony what was that for?” he complains and I just run around and give him a confused look.

“Darling I have no idea what you are talking about, I did nothing I was just admiring….ahh Doctor put me down!” I yell as the Doctor picks me up.

“Not until you say sorry!” he yells to me and I just giggle and squeal at him.

“No, you deserved it, you were the perfect target” I say and he sets me down on what I assume was a blanket because it wasn’t cold or wet at all making me giggle.

“You will say it, and I mean it, because if not we will just have to do something else than have our date” he says making me stop and look at him with wide eyes.

“No, lets just have the date, plus don’t tell me you didn’t like having a snowball fight, it is something I never got to do” I say to him pouting.

“Then say you are sorry for throwing a snowball at me.” he says smugly and I sigh.

“Sorry for throwing a snowball at you, but your face was funny at the reaction” I say and he lets go of me only to pull me into his arms and rest his head on top of mine.

“I will let it slide for now. Now what do you want to do?” he asks me.

“ I want you to act normally how you are, I want to stop feeling bad for myself, and I want to stay on the ground so we can find adventures to go on” I tell him and he shakes his head.

“I told you I don’t do that anymore” he tells me and I sigh turning around in his arms so that I can face him.

“You can’t sit still, there has to be something that will get your attention, and I will find it. Now Doctor what is the next part of this date?” I ask him and he stands me up and gets up himself taking my hand and dragging me off.

“Food, we get to have food at a place that I have no idea where” he says and I tug his arm making him stop.

“Can’t we just eat out here?” I ask him and he furrows his eyebrows a bit and shakes his head.

“No, I already had plans for this and we have to meet Strax in a few minutes to take us there.” he says and I smile slightly.

“I get to meet Strax, Vastra and Jenny?” I ask him jumping up and down in excitement and he groans.

“First time meeting them, no wonder you were so friendly with them when you met them” he says and I just giggle and kiss his cheek softly.

“Let’s just go have some fun, please, we can mope around the Tardis later, please don’t ruin this for me.” I tell him and he sighs knowing I won and was trying to make it more enjoyable.

“Alright, now onto the rest of the date.” he tells me.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

“Good bye Strax” I yell as the Doctor pulled me back to where the cloud that the Tardis was on after we had finished eating at had a wonderful, or well it was fun to me at least, date.

I looked at the ladder that the Doctor had pulled down with a weary look as the Doctor basically was gesturing for me to go first but I shook my head. “No, I’m wearing a dress, you get to go first.” I say and he sighs but goes up and I follow only to grab his hand as he keeps me on the inside of the staircase leading up to the Tardis.

“I had fun” I say as we make our way up.

“Well it’s not done yet, I have a few more things planned but they require the Tardis being there, plus I have to give you something” he tells me and I furrow my brows trying to figure out what that could be.

Once he opened the Tardis he lead me inside and sat me down on the captain’s chair and rushed off telling me to stay put and I groaned not wanting to just stay still, but once the Doctor came back he had something in his arms which seemed to be a present making me frown at why he would have a present and he set it on the console away from me only to go back and get something  else from wherever he had to get it.

He came back with a cake and I just glanced at it then back at him but took it from him. “What did you do to it?” I say looking at him suspiciously.

“What makes you think I did something to it?” he asks looking rather hurt.

“Because knowing you, you either did something to it or you baked it wrong and I really don’t want to get sick” I say inspecting the cake trying to see what was wrong with it.

“I…I did nothing to it, I actually didn’t make it” he admits looking somewhat guilty and I just look at him.

“If you didn’t then who did?” I ask and he just rubs the back of his neck.

“Uh I went and got it, though isn’t it the thought that counts” he says and I just giggle.

“Yea, but then again I would rather you had not made me a cake, who knows if it would have been edible.” I say then stare at him and the cake. “But why did you have to get a cake, and why do I have a present?” I ask him confused.

“Well, it’s been a year and I assume that you haven’t had anything having to do with a birthday party or things so…” he trails off and I realize what he means.

“I totally forgot about my own birthday. Wow, I guess I was too busy to even remember how time goes with you, since there isn’t really a calendar to go by with you.” I say and set the cake on the chair as I got up and raced over to him so I could hug him and buried my face in his neck. “Thank you, it means a lot” I mumble into his neck and he wraps his arms around my waist.

“You’re welcome, now open the present, I bet you will love it.” he tells me and I just look at him suspiciously but open it.

When I opened it there was something at the bottom and when I took it out I noticed it was the Tardis key on a chained necklace and I looked at him with wide eyes and a grinned at him holding it up. “Now I get a Tardis key? Took you long enough to get me one I was wondering when I would get one, or if I would ever get one” I tell him and place it around my neck. “Thank you” I say and kiss his lips lightly. “Can we have cake now?” I ask and he just chuckles.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

At least a week after the wintery birthday date happened and closer to when The Snowmen starts by meeting Clara as it was the 23rd of December which is when it starts. I was getting fed up with him just randomly messing around and not doing anything. I was currently upside-down on the captain’s chair watching him just sit on the stairs and read which was bugging me terribly since we were doing nothing and I knew that he would get out of this stupid faze of being mopey but still I couldn’t take it.

“Doctor, we need to do something, I can’t do this anymore. It has been nothing but boringness all the time, I need to do something fun” I complain.

“Then go outside and look around” he tells me not really acknowledging me and just turning a page in his book making me groan.

“No, we need to do something, I can’t just sit here, I get you are upset, but Amy and Rory would not want you to be pouting and moping around doing nothing, Rose wouldn’t want me to do that either” I say to him and he stiffens up closing the book and moving over to me which looked like he was walking upside down to me since I was upside down.

“Fine, let’s go for a walk if you need to get out we can go for a walk.” he tells me and I grin and roll off the chair only for me to groan in pain at hitting my head a bit and quickly got up and brushed myself off.

“I am alright” I say brushing off my dress, which was a emerald green and similar to the other one I had worn.

“Good, then we shall go.” he tells me and I grin knowing that I had riled him up enough for him to get out of the Tardis, and now we were off to finally meet Clara, and get to do something rather than just sitting in the Tardis and basically doing nothing.

“Brilliant, finally!” I say happily but then realize something else. “Wait now I have to go down the horrible stairs” I complain making my way outside following the Doctor.

Once we finally had gotten down the stairs I was able to just walk with the Doctor hand in hand and constantly looking for the Bar that Clara was at but the only thing I could go on would be the ally that she walked in, so that might take a while. I was looking around and finally noticed the right ally way well I think it was the right ally way and tugged the Doctor’s hand.

“Let’s go this way, we can meet Strax quicker than going around” I say tugging his hand and he sighs but follows me into the ally way just as Clara had walked out and we walked passed the Snowman that wasn’t there before.

“Did you make this snowman?” Clara asks us though I couldn’t see her face due to the Doctor not stopping.

“No.” the Doctor says just wanting to get back to the Tardis I guess.

“Well, who did? Because it wasn't there a second ago.” Clara says and the Doctor stops. “It just appeared, from nowhere.”

The Doctor turns and comes back to examine it and puts on Amy’s glasses and I follow grinning that we were finally able to do something more than just sit around.

“Maybe it's snow that fell before. Maybe it remembers how to make snowmen.” the Doctor says as he touches and picks up some of the snow then lets it fall from his hand.

“What, snow that can remember? That's silly.” Clara says clearly unamused by what the Doctor’s answer was.

“What's wrong with silly?” the Doctor asks her.

“Nothing. Still talking to you, ain't I?” Clara says grinning and I giggle at her look.

“What's your name?” the Doctor asks taking off the glasses and putting them in his coat.

“Clara.” Clara tells him and looks at both him and me as if we were to respond by telling her our names.

“Oh right, I’m…mmhmmh” I try to say but the Doctor puts his hand over my mouth.

“Nice name. Clara. You should definitely keep it. Goodbye!” the Doctor says and pulls me with him as we go around a corner and I glare at him after he finally removed his hand, and whack him on his chest.

Clara follows us around the corner.

“Oi! Where are you going? I thought we was just getting acquainted.” Clara says and I knew she had placed her hands on her hips and the Doctor turned around to smile sadly at her.

“Those were the days.” he says softly and he leads me to the carriage that Strax was and helped me in but I sat across from him upset that he was being rude to Clara, even though I knew she was following us.

“How refreshing to see you taking an interest again. Was she nice?” Vastra says through a telephonic communication device

“I just spoke to her.” the Doctor says clearly not wanting to go on any more adventures.

“And made your usual impact, no doubt.” Vastra tells him.

“No, no impact at all. Those days are over.” the Doctor says making me sigh at him uninterest of anything.

“You can't help yourself.” Vastra scolds him slightly.

“That is what I have been trying to tell him Vastra but he keeps thinking he can just do nothing” I say looking out the window.

“It's the same story every time. And it always begins with the same two words.” Vastra says to him.

“She'll never be able to find me again. She doesn't even have the name. Doctor.” he says moving his hands about. “ She doesn’t even have Harmony’s name. What two words?” he asks slightly annoyed.

“Doctor?” Clara asks her head appearing through the hatch in the roof. “Doctor who?” she asks again with a slight grin on her face making me laugh slightly at the Doctor’s horrified expression that she knew who he was now.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

Simeon is being watched by a manservant with electronic binoculars. Nearby, the Doctor's carriage is rocking.

“They've taken samples from snowmen all over London. What do you suppose they're doing in there?” Strax asks the Doctor and I while I just stand to the side annoyed with how the Doctor was acting.

“This snow is new. Possibly alien.” the Doctor says as he looks closer at the snow that he had picked up and was moving it between his fingers. “When you find something brand new in the world, something you've never seen before, what's the next thing you look for?” the Doctor asks Strax.

“A grenade.” Strax says pointing at the Doctor.

“A profit.”  the Doctor says somewhat horrified by Strax’s answer and tosses the snow down shaking it off his hand and turning to me and Strax. “That's Victorian values for you.”

“I suggest a full frontal assault with automated laser monkeys, scalpel mines and acid.” Strax replies and I look at him weirdly.

“Why?” the Doctor asks placing his hands on his hips and I go to stand next to the Doctor.

“Yea, why would you even suggest that Strax?” I ask him.

“Couldn't we at least investigate?” Strax says trying to get the Doctor to do something about it.

“It's none of our business.” the Doctor says walking past Strax and going in the direction of the carriage only to stop when Strax talks.

“Sir, permission to express my opposition to your current apathy?” Strax asks for permission.

“Permission granted.” the Doctor says gesturing for Strax to get on with it.

“Sir, I am opposed to your current apathy.” Strax tells him standing straighter.

“Let me out!” Clara yells from the carriage that was locked, even though I was against locking her in there.

“Thank you, Strax. And if ever I'm in need of advice from a psychotic potato dwarf, you'll certainly be the first to know.” the Doctor says walking toward Strax and taking his head in his hands then letting go.

“But if the snow is new and alien, shouldn't we be making some attempt to destroy it? Be reasonable...” Strax  starts to say but the Doctor covers his mouth with his hand as if to tell him to shut up.

“Let me out!” Clara yells from the carriage as it shakes more since she seems to be getting rather frustrated.

“It is not our problem. Over a thousand years of saving the universe, Strax,” the Doctor says and removes his finger from Strax’s mouth. “You know the one thing I learned? The universe doesn't care.” the Doctor says and he glances at me and I sigh waling over to him and take his hand as he gestures to the carriage.

“In this cab. Oi, Doctor! Let me out! Are you listening to me?” Clara yells more annoyed and getting rather upset.

“Now, we have a problem of our own to worry about.” the Doctor says and we walk over to the Carriage as Clara yells at  us.

“Let me out!” Clara yells just as the Doctor opens the carriage door.

“Oi!” Clara says as the Doctor helps me in but I hit his hand away from me and get in the carriage myself and he slides in after me.

“Don't worry. No one's going to hurt you.” the Doctor tells her.

“What is that thing?” Clara asks looking at Strax with a bit of fear.

“Silence, boy!” Strax tells her getting her gender wrong making me shake my head.

“That's Strax. And as you can see, he's easily confused.” the Doctor says and making the end higher in volume as if telling Strax he got it wrong.

“Silence, girl.” Strax says gesturing his head to Clara then looking at the Doctor. “Sorry, lad.” he apologizes.

“Sontaran. Clone warrior race.” the Doctor says waving his hand about as if brushing off Strax. “Factory produced, whole legions at a time. Two genders is a bit further than he can count.”

“Sir, do not discuss my reproductive cycle in front of enemy girls. It's embarrassing.” Strax says looking at Clara then back at the Doctor.

“Typical middle child of six million.” the Doctor whispers to Clara.

“Who are you?” Clara asks intrigued by the Doctor.

“It doesn't matter because you're about to forget that you and I ever met.” the Doctor says then turns to Strax “We'll need the worm.”

“Sir.” says nodding and turning to get the worm, though I knew he would come back without the worm and I was trying to keep a straight face.

“You'll need the what?” Clara says her eyes going wide and moving to try and see where Strax was going then turning back to the Doctor and asking “The worm? What worm?”

“Don't worry, it won't hurt, but one touch on your bare skin and you lose the last hour of your memory.” the Doctor tells her softly and Strax returns.

“Where is it?” the Doctor asks looking at Strax for an explanation as to where the worm was since it wasn’t in his hand or anywhere it seemed.

“Where's what, sir?” Strax asks confused as to where ‘what’ was.

“I sent you to get the memory worm.” the Doctor says leaning closer to Strax and making me giggle.

“Did you? When?” Strax asks confused then notices Clara “Who's he? What are we doing here?” he asks confused. “Look, it's been snowing!” Strax says smiling looking up and I just burst out laughing as the Doctor looks at me annoyed that it was going this way.

“You didn't use the gauntlets, did you?” the Doctor asks annoyed.

“Why would I need the gauntlets?” Strax asks him confused and the Doctor does the fish impression as if wanting to say something and looking between me and Clara then back at Strax. “Do you want me to get the memory worm?” Strax asks smiling a bit as if figuring out what he wanted.

“You” the Doctor says and bites his tongue as I give him a glare for him being rude and we all end up having to get out of the carriage so that the Doctor to tell Strax to get  the memory worm.

“Well, can you see it?” the Doctor says leaning down while I stood off to the side next to Clara.

“I think I can hear it.” Strax responds and Clara giggles making me giggle as well and the Doctor turns to us clearly unamused.

“Oi, don't try to run away. Stay where you are. Harmony watch her.” the Doctor says pointing to Clara and me then turning back to watch Strax.

“Why would I run? I know what's going to happen next and it's funny.” Clara says laughing.

“What's funny?” the Doctor says turning back around confused as to why she was laughing.

“Well, your little pal, for a start. He's an ugly little fella, isn't he?” Clara says glancing at Strax and insulting him causing the Doctor to walk closer to her.

“Maybe. He gave his life for a friend of mine once.” the Doctor says to her.

“Then how come he's alive?” Clara asks confused as to why Strax was still alive.

“Another friend of mine brought him back. I'm not sure all his brains made the return trip!” the Doctor says yelling the last bit and leaning against the carriage again.

“Neither am I.” Clara says.

“I can see it.” Strax says as he is under the carriage without the gantlets.

“Ooo! Can you reach it? Have you got it?” the Doctor says leaning down trying to see if he would get the worm finally and Clara walked up behind the Doctor and reached into the carriage pulling out the gauntlets making cough trying to cover up a giggle and wink at her.

“Got what, sir?” Strax asks.

“Because these are the gauntlets, aren't they?” Clara says holding up the gauntlets with one of her hands the other on her hip and the Doctor looks up at Clara only to see her holding the gauntlets with a look of pure annoyance on his face.

“Sir, emergency! I think I've been run over by a cab.” Strax says panicking over being on the ground under the cab making me laugh and the Doctor helped him get out and went and got the worm himself wearing the gauntlets to get hold of a large white worm.

“There you go. One touch and you lose about an hour of your memory. Let it bite you and you could lose decades.” the Doctor says as he puts it into a jar. “And you're still not trying to run.”

“I don't understand how the snowman built itself. I'll run once you've explained.” Clara says her head tilted.

“Clara who?” the Doctor asks taking off the gauntlets.

“Doctor who?” Clara counters.

“What about Harmony who?” I ask and they both look at me weirdly so I just shake my head. “Yea sounds weird doesn’t it” I say.

“Oh, dangerous question.” the Doctor says after shaking his head at me and I pout at him.

“What's wrong with dangerous?” Clara asks and the Doctor turns to look at her and since I was off to the side of them I noticed the Snowman appear just as Clara did making me flinch slightly.

“The snow emits a low level telepathic field.” the Doctor explains.

“My snowman.” Clara says interrupting him but he just carries on.

“It seems to reflect people's thoughts and memories and because it's unusual, somehow it carries a previous shape and…” the Doctor says looking at the worm in the jar, but Clara grabs him interrupting him.

“No, Doctor. My snowman.” Clara says pointing at the Snowman that was there where it wasn’t a few seconds ago.

“Ah! Interesting. Well, were you thinking about it?” the Doctor asks as she pulls him closer to the Snowman.

“Yes.” Clara says still pointing at the snowman and another one appears, then others.

“Well, stop.” I yell moving closer to the Doctor as

“Clara, stop thinking about the snowmen!” the Doctor yells at her as we were now surrounded by the snowmen, and the nearest snowman breaths snowflakes at us making us yell.

“Get down!” the Doctor yells and we get down me sitting next to Clara as the Doctor puts her face in his hands. “Clara, listen to me. The snow's feeding off your thoughts.” the Doctor says shaking her head in his hands.

“I don't understand.” Clara says not understanding how.

“You're caught in their telepathic field. They're mirroring you. The more you think about the snowmen, the more they appear. Imagine them melting. Picture it. Picture them melted!” the Doctor tells her and she closes her eyes and we get splashed with icy water making us gasp at the coldness of the water and the snowmen are gone.

“Well, very good. Very, very good. Ha!” the Doctor says getting up and helping me up then turning around the corner to get the memory worm.

“Is that going to happen again?” Clara asks.

“Well, if it does, you know what to do about it.” the Doctor says pointing at her with his hand that held the jar and she gets up.

“Unless I forget.” Clara says and the Doctor looks at the worm in the jar then back at her taking her hand and putting her into the carriage.

“Don't come looking for us. Forget about us. You understand?” the Doctor says and she gets in only to turn back to us.

“What about the snow? Shouldn't we be warning people?” Clara asks.

“Not our problem.” the Doctor says and close the door only to place his hand on it  “Merry Christmas. Take her back where we found her.” he says and take my hand leading me away with him back to the Tardis.

“Sir.” Strax says and we walked off just as the carriage leave but I knew that she would be following us but I just followed the Doctor as we made our way back to the park where the Tardis was parked.

The Doctor then jumped climbs over the railings after helping me over it and walks on, whistling Silent Night. Seeing that the coast is clear, he jumps up and grabs a ladder, which he pulls down and then offers for me to go first and I just roll my eyes, learning my lesson about wearing something under my dress so he wouldn’t try and look knowing that Clara was hiding behind a tree whilst the Doctor climbs the ladder and vanishes and we start to make our way up the stairs me gripping the Doctor’s hand as we made our way up.

Once we got into the Tardis I just walked past the Doctor as he tried to talk to me.

“Harmony, what is it that has got you so upset?” he says trying to grab me but I shove him away.

“What is wrong with me!? What is wrong with you? I can’t keep doing nothing, that is not how you roll, that isn’t how you act, and that certainly isn’t the Doctor I love. I love the adventurous Doctor, not this” I say gesturing to him. “This mopey Doctor who won’t do anything but sit around the Tardis doing nothing but just sit there and read but no adventures” I say getting frustrated with him but before he can respond there is a knock at the door and he goes to open it and I just lean against the console waiting for him to come back in after finding Clara’s shawl.

He did come back in with the shawl in his hand and makes his way over to me and pulls me to him but I just try and wiggle away from him but end up just starting to cry again.

“I know it hurts, I hurt I lost Rose, and I know that you were attached to Amy and Rory, mainly Amy but still it’s the same patter we all have to let go of it somehow” I say burring my face in his chest. “Amy and Rory wouldn’t want you to just waste away in the Tardis, they would want you to move on and do other crazy things, and you can’t if you don’t let someone in.” I say and he just rubs my back.

“Maybe, just maybe” he say and I just snuggle into him not wanting to leave his warmth.
