Kyrin

I sat up in bed as my eyes widened from the dream I had while I napped. My mind panicked as I threw the covers off of my body and headed to our closet. Bypassing Janet, I grabbed some sweats and threw them on. Putting my slides on, I went to rush out but stopped myself once I noticed what she was doing.

"Woman... What are you doing?"

Her hands were at the buttons of her jeans trying to close them. "Baby... I need to lose weight. These jeans are a 10, it's no way I shouldn't be able to get into these. I'm getting fat."

My face furrowed as I put my first objective on hold. Walking up behind her, my arms snaked around her waist as she watched me in the mirror.

"People gain weight baby, it's part of life. You are not getting fat, if anything that fat is going to nothing but your ass."

Janet still frowned at me as she sighed. "I don't want you to stop being interested in me though. I just— I need to get back on my diet."

"Is that what you're worried about?" I asked her softly as I swept her hair to the left side of her shoulder. Sitting my chin on her right shoulder, I spoke again. "Baby skinny, thick or curvy, you will always be my number one interest. That will be the last thing you have to worry about with me. Now I don't know what your old dudes was saying, but don't ever feel like you have to lose weight to keep me interested. I am looking at a hundred other things but that."

"Seriously?" She asked me shakily as we met eye contact in the mirror.

I nodded and it caused her to smile. "See, that's one of them. That smile pulls me in and captivates my mind every time I'm blessed enough to see it. Then to know I'm the one making it happen only boosts me to keep making it happen. Ou and don't get me started on your personality because I could talk for years on how your goofiness balances out with your seriousness and provides this real sexy vibe that I can't live without."

Janet put her head down as she blushed and grabbed at her ear. "Stop it."

"But I'm just getting started." I replied as I placed a kiss on her neck. "What I'm saying though baby, is that you have no reason to be insecure about your body. Even when you don't, you need to know that I love everything about it. I will always love everything about it. So, throw on some tights, and let's go get some burgers."

She turned in my embrace. "I'm not eating a damn burger Kyrin."

"You think you aren't, but you are. We eating a burger and fries and shake today. I've been craving Five Guys. Please baby, for me?" I pouted.

Her finger traced my cheek before sighing. "Fine woman. I'll eat a damn burger. Scratch the fries but I'll take the shake."

Smiling, I did a little happy dance. "Yes! Okay okay, we can have a little get together alright? Invite Tiffany, Shawn, and Joey and his wife and—."

"Hold on baby, why?" She asked me.

"Because, we need to spend time together and I need to go see something. I actually have to run to the store, I'll be right back. I'll go to the store and then get the food and be right back." I kissed her lips quickly. "Love you!"

"Love you too?" It came out questionable as I shot out of the closet.

Rushing out the house, I grabbed my wallet and keys off the table by the front door as I left. Getting in my car, I drove to the nearest CVS and entered. Grabbing a basket, I walked down the aisles and my eyes lit up when I saw what I needed. Throwing them in my basket, I went to the front and paid for them.

"86.45." The woman announced weirdly after she scanned it and my eyes widened. Sighing, I paid for them anyways and left the store. When I got back in the car, I sent a group text to my sisters.

Sisters III Ember 🤪Hey, meet at Janet and I's place. ASAP!

They immediately texted back and said okay as I drove to Five Guys. Whipping through the drive thru, I placed Janet and I's order. "Can I get two number ones. Both with vanilla shakes."

"Would you like to upsize that ma'am?" The man asked me.

I thought it over before accepting. "You know what, yeah. Do that for me, please?"

"Alright. That'll be 18.67 at the second window." He called back.

I drove forward as I mumbled. "Damn."

That was a waste of a hundred dollars in a span of ten minutes. Well, other than this food, I don't care how much that costs. I'm gone eat. No questions asked.

Pulling up, I handed them my debit card and they swiped it and gave it back with the receipt. Afterwards, they handed me the bags of food and two shakes and I was off to the house again.

The ride there was quick for I was taking backstreets instead of the crowded highway. When I pulled up, everyone's cars were there and I nodded in satisfaction.

Getting out, I walked in my house with bags, my wallet, our shakes and keys hanging from various of places. Everyone looked up at me when I did enter and Janet came over and took some things off my body. "Baby, you could have called someone."

"Eh, it's okay." I replied as I put my wallet and keys in the bowl by the door. She tried to grab the CVS bag from my hands and I stopped her. "No baby, I got this one."

Walking into the living room where everyone was, I drunk some of my shake. Phoebe smacked her lips. "You called us here to drink a shake in front of us?"

"She better not have." Ember added on.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm calling a family meeting."

Janet joined me in the living room with her shake in her hand as well. Everyone looked on to her for answers and she nodded over to me. "She told me to call everyone over. Hasn't told me why yet either."

Placing my shake on the table, I spoke my reasonings. "I took a nap today, and when I was napping, I had a weird dream. A very peculiar dream in fact and in order to play it safe, everybody needs to be here."

"What type of dream?" Shawn asked me.

"I dreamed about fish." I announced.

Everyone smacked their lips except for Phoebe who replied. "Oh shit."

"What the fuck we got to do with fish?" Tiffany asked impatiently.

I ignored her momentarily as I looked over at Juliette. "I don't think we've gotten to meet before. I'm Kyrin, Janet's girlfriend."

We shook hands. "Nice to meet you, Juliette."

Shit, I was trying to see if she was going to say 'Juliette, Joeys wife and Embers girlfriend.' At least I tried.

Smiling, I got back serious. "Fish means that somebody in here is pregnant Tiff..." I opened the bag and poured the pregnancy tests on the table. "I got a lot of these. Everyone take one and let's get to the bottom of this."

"I'm gay." Tiffany spoke with a face.

"I don't care. Everybody takes one." I replied.

Janet chuckled. "Okay, if you're gay I feel like you're disqualified."

"Okay how about this, if you've had anything enter your body other than fingers since six weeks ago, pick up a test and go take one." I laid down my condition.

Phoebe went to grab one as she asked. "Does fake dildos count?"

My girlfriend laughed but quickly stopped when I sent her a look. Turning back to my sister, I answered. "Matter fact, it does. Get to peeing hoe."

Everyone grumbled as they began picking up tests except Phoebe. Janet spoke to me in disbelief . "You are not seriously making these grown ass women take tests."

"Baby, I'm telling you, somebodies pregnant. I'm helping us out. The earlier we know, the quicker we can began saving for a little life running around other than Eissa." I explained.

We watched as Juliette went to go take a test. Phoebe made a face before mumbling to me. "A hunnid that bitch pregnant."

"Deal, cause I'm betting it on Broussard here." I motioned over to Ember who looked nervous. "Ember, Tiffany, grab a test loves."

Tiffany rolled her eyes. "No, I'll continue to say, I'm gay."

Ember grabbed one hesitantly as she walked to the upstairs bathroom. I replied to Tiff. "I don't know sis, whoever nigga you was on in the club had me fooled."

"That was a girl." She protested.

"Coulda fooled me. Go pee." I pointed up the stairs. Tiffany huffed as she grabbed one and walked up the stairs.

My eyes fell to Shawn and she shook her head. "I've been celibate for 2 years. Ain't nothing entered this body but massage oils and blessings from Jesus."

I nodded. "Alright Shawns off the rador." I turned to Janet. "You need to take one?"

"Haha you got jokes huh?" I kept a straight face and she cut her eyes at me. "Kyrin, don't play with me. Unless you can get me pregnant, I'd be damned if any baby is growing inside of me."

"Just making sure." I shrugged as I laughed.

Phoebe chuckled. "Better stop playing with Janet before she bop your ass."

"Please, my baby knows I love her." I mumbled as I wrapped my arms around her waist.

J side eyed me. "Mhm. Love you too."

We heard footsteps and Juliette appeared as she held the test and shook her head. "Not me."

Phoebe cursed under her breath and I smirked. I had just got reimbursed that quick. We waited for a few more moments and Tiff came down with a mug on her face. "It ain't me. Cause like I said... I'm gay."

"Well now I believe you." I replied with a smile and Janet nudged my side causing me to cry out. "Ow! Damn."

We waited five more minutes and finally Ember began making her way down the steps. Her head was down and when she faced us, she lifted it up slowly. Her face was streaked with tears as she took breaths before she mumbled. "I- I'm pregnant."

I looked over at Phoebe and made the money signal and she shoot me the finger. Janet smiled. "Well congratulations Em. Why do you look so sad?"

"I'm not." She replied as she smiled. "I'm not sad. I'm just shocked. I guess."

Looking over at Joey and Juliette, they both seemed to be in a state of shock. Phoebe blunt ass asked, "So, now that you pregnant, how does that affect your love triangle?"

"Shut-up!" I exclaimed.

"It doesn't." Joey announced as he smiled and looked between Juliette and Ember. "It doesn't affect anything. We are having a baby."

Juliette smiled harder as they all grouped hugged.

"Please don't kiss." I begged them. "That's gonna make me cringe for the rest of my damn life. I'm begging you three not to kiss."

Janet popped my shoulder. "Stop."

"I'm just saying baby, that's nast—." I trailed off when I saw that Phoebe was sitting on Tiffany's lap. "Oh, this is a thing again?"

Tiffany cheesed. "We are working on it."

"Oh. That's cute." I replied.

Shawn shook her head. "Well congrats, but I have to go run some errands. I'll hit you up later Jay."

My girlfriend nodded. "Alright Shawn, sorry for the false alarm emergency family meeting. I'll call you later tonight, we have to go over the schedule for the first week of the tour."

"Bet. Bye you guys!" She waved as she left and we all waved back.

"How long you think they gone hug?" Janet asked me lowly and I noticed they triangle loving asses was still over there hugging.

"I don't know." I replied back to my girlfriend kind of creeped out. My phone vibrated and I pulled it out of my pocket to find that Langston had sent me a text.

Letting go of Janet, I clicked the picture and when I did my heart dropped. Locking my phone quickly, I put it in my back pocket as I began chewing on my lip.

This was bad. Really bad.
