Wolf inbound

Enid's POV

I pack up my things from my last class of the day, I'm bummed Wednesday wasn't with me but I understand why. I walk out of the classroom and make my way back to our dorm, she should be back by now. I really missed her today in class and also having to cover for her was not fun at all. Of course I'd always cover for her but it gets exhausting. The teachers bombard me with so many questions. It's just a lot at times.

I approach our dorm and I let myself in. As I enter, I don't see any sign that Wednesday is here. Maybe she'll just be back a little later. She might've went into Jericho to get some of the things she needs. I really should invest in getting a tracking device for her. I mean the amount of times she either wanders off or gets kidnapped, it would just be so much easier to find her honestly. Or I mean, she could just not get kidnapped but this is Wednesday I'm talking about.

I set my bag down next to my desk and I take my seat at my desk to start the homework since I really have nothing else to do. I get into my bag to grab my math homework and I get myself situated at my desk. Now, math is definitely not my strong suit. Wednesday always helps me but maybe she'll be impressed by me if I complete the assignment by myself without help. She always has a way to not make me feel completely dumb. She is actually patient with me. Most people assume that she has zero patience but she does and she has a lot of it. Wednesday is just the best person to be with. Honestly I'm glad she's mine, baffling decision but I'm all for it.

As I'm making incredible progress on my math assignment, there's an urgent knocking on the door. Confused, I get up from my desk and open the door. To my surprise, it's Yoko and Div that are standing in front of me.

"I didn't know we were hanging out today." I say to the two of them

Yoko and Div look at each other for a moment, it looks like they need to tell me something but thinking about how to tell me. Finally Yoko breaks the silence.

"Xavier took Wednesday." Yoko says before hiding behind Div.

Did he now? I feel my claws extend out from my fingertips and I feel like I'm about to wolf out.

"Enid, breathe." Div says holding my shoulders.

I let out a sigh before focusing my vision on the girls in front of me.

"Do you know where he might've taken her?" Yoko asks reappearing next to Div.

"Damn right I know where he took her." I say before pushing past them.

I hear my door shut so I can only assume one of them closed it for me. My blood is absolutely boiling. I walk through the different hallways with my fangs out and my claws extended. I'm constantly walking past groups of students and they all know I'm not the one to be walking around in my current state so reasonably, they get out of my way before I get too close.

Once I feel the sun on my skin, I can't help but to wolf out. When I'm feeling intense anger like I am, I transform into my wolf, especially when I know Wednesday is in danger. I hear Div and Yoko yelling for me to wait but their yelling was useless as I started to run through the woods towards Xavier's newest hideout. I feel the wind going through my fur as I'm running as fast as I can to Wednesday. My paws making loud thumps with every step I take. If he can't hear me coming then that's his own problem.

I finally arrive at the shack after running for what seemed to be forever. I waste no time in kicking the door down with my hind legs. I back up from the door to prepare for a fight. As I look around the inside of the shack, I let out a whine as I see Wednesday tied up to a wooden post. She looks up at me and I can see visible bruises on her. I hear loud footprints coming towards me and I look at the direction they came from and I see a wolf, about my size running at me full speed. I take my fighting stance, ready for this battle. I've taken down a Hyde, I can surely take on another wolf.

The wolf slams into me hard, sending me through the air but I manage to land upright. I snarl at the other wolf before charging at him with my teeth on display. I aim for his throat which I successfully get between my teeth. I bite down as hard as I can before he uses his back legs to kick me off of him. We're both standing our ground before he starts running at me again. This time he landed his claws across my torso, which made me whine in pain but I don't give up. I regained my composure before I run towards him again and I tackle him down on the ground. I swipe my claws across his face, neck and chest before biting down on his throat and ripping his neck open with my mouth.

I get off of the wolf and I look towards the shake, I see Xavier standing right in front of the opening I made. He looks shocked that I beat his little pet. I snarl at the boy in front of me before lunging at him. I knock Xavier to the ground before I swipe my claws across his body and bit at his throat as well. I watch as the life in his eyes disappear. I carefully walk away from his body and by this point, Wednesday is looking at me and I feel extra set of eyes on me. I turn around to see Yoko and Div behind me with their mouths open in shock.

I start to calm down so naturally, I transform back to my human form. Thankfully Div had a jacket on that she handed to me so I'm not naked. Once I'm back in my human form, I run towards Wednesday to untie her. I approach my girlfriend who is smirking, even though she has bleeding of her own coming from her arms and bruises on her face.

I quickly get behind her to untie her hands and as soon as the rope drop, Wednesday steps closer to me and cups my face.

"I have never seen anything so captivating and so brave like you when you're fighting." Wednesday says before closing the gap between us.

I feel her swollen, but still cold lips against mine. I wrap my arms around her waist to pull her eve closer but ensuring I don't cause her anymore pain.

We pull away from each other and I rest my forehead against hers. We stare into each other's eyes for a few moments before we get interrupted.

"Okay lesbians, we need to uh discuss the two bodies that are out there." Yoko says

Wednesday looks at me before she shifts her attention to Yoko.

"Leave them be. Another creature will eat them for a midnight snack." Wednesday says

"You got your wish of watching Enid tear him apart." Div mentions with a chuckle

Wednesday hums in acknowledgment.

I take Wednesday's hand in mine as we exit the shack with Yoko and Div. The walk back to Nevermore was quiet, filled with comfortable silence. Wednesday will talk about what happened to her before I got there when she's ready. I won't force her to talk about it.

As the four of us approach the school, we decide to enter through a back entrance so there's less of a chance of someone seeing Wednesday and I covered in blood and sweat. I know Wednesday loves seeing me all bloody and sweaty but I honestly feel disgusting. I don't regret what I did, I just hate being dirty.

Yoko and Div went their separate way as they probably have other plans. Meanwhile, Wednesday and I head to our dorm. I open the door for her and I follow her inside closing the door behind me.

"I'll be in the shower." Wednesday says as she grabs a different pair of clothes to change into.

"Okay Wens." I respond sitting down at my vanity.

I wait patiently for my girlfriend to get out of the showers so I can also take one. I sit at my vanity just scrolling through my social media as one does after murdering two people. Is this how Wednesday feels? Just unbothered? I never thought I would actually kill someone but when it comes to Wednesday in danger, I'll do anything to get her back safely and in one piece.

We will kill for each other, we've done it. Our love and connection knows no boundary. This is what it feels like to be completely and utterly in love with someone.
