Boredom is Not Good
04:07, 5 August 2024When I sobered up I washed my face and went downstairs where the house was quiet except for Kreacher who was grumbling about the werewolves and blood-traitors.
I didn't see anyone until I got to the living room where Sirius was standing in front of the fireplace with Lupin. I knocked on the door frame and they both turned around.
"Are you feeling better?" Sirius asked.
I nodded and looked at Lupin. "Where is she?" I smiled, Sirius looked at Lupin and smirked.
Lupin rolled his eyes at us both. "Come on, don't look at me that way."
Sirius chuckled and patted Lupins shoulder. "But my old friend has finally found someone."
Lupin smiled and looked at me. "She's in the kitchen attempting to make cupcakes the muggle way."
I chuckled. "I didn't realize there was a wizard way to make cupcakes."
"There is a wizard way for everything, Olivia." Lupin walked to me. "Come. I'll introduce you two."
I waved to Sirius, he nodded back and I followed Lupin towards the kitchen. "When did you two meet?"
"Recently. We met through the Order." Lupin opened the door to reveal a purple, shoulder length hair, beautiful woman with flour all over her shirt. "Tonks?" Lupin chuckled.
She looked at us and huffed. "I don't understand how this is so sticky." I smiled, she looked at me. "Oh, you must be Olivia."
I nodded. "And you must be the woman who makes Lupin happy."
"Olivia." Lupin said like a shy boy.
I pulled him down to reach his ear. "She likes you very much." Lupin smiled slightly and leaned back up. I sighed. "Great." Tonks eyed us to figure out what we were whispering about. "Will you excuse us for just a minute?"
Tonks nodded. "I'll just clean up here."
I nodded and pulled Lupin out of the room. "Olivia what is it?"
I stopped down the hall and looked at him with hands on hips. "You don't think you deserve her."
Lupin put his hands in his pockets. "Olivia-."
"Lupin." I scolded. "Does she know what you are?"
"Yes."
"And she excepts that and likes you a lot, you do to but you think you don't deserve her. Lupin you are an amazing guys, you need to stop thinking so low of yourself."
"I know... I know."
I smiled and put a hand on his shoulder. "She is beautiful and kind, I think she picked an amazing man." Lupin smiled. "But that men needs to realize that she likes him for him even with his scars." I patted his shoulder and retracted my hand. "Now I'm going to go make cupcakes, you go back to your fireplace standing or whatever."
Lupin nodded. "Don't burn the house down."
My mouth gaped. "I would like to inform you I am a wonderful cook." Lupin smirked, I tsked. "Fine. No cupcakes for you then."
"You wouldn't."
I smiled. "Of course not." I walked back into the kitchen. "Let's make some cupcakes." Tonks smiled.
--------. . . -----I would say it is boring here, being isolated inside the house but I've occupied myself enough to stay busy.
I read through my books for school, I cook the meals, which Sirius tells me I don't have to but I do anyways, and Kreacher cleans so I can't do that...
I started on Siriuss library since there was nothing else....
... Ok, so it might be a little boring...
I think Sirius, Lupin, and Tonks can tell how bored I am by the sudden change of hair color. Nothing flashy like Tonks, just my natural brown hair that obres to a light blue-gray color...
Nothing crazy. I was bored and wanted to practice a spell, and I thought a change would be nice...
But it's been getting more crazy at the Order so more people are visiting.
I learned that not only is Sirius, Tonks, Lupin, Weasley seniors, and Severus part of it but also Alabaster and the African American man who was with the Minister.
Hagrid, McGonagall are also a part of it but they never visited for obvious reasons. Then there were some others, just a few, who I didn't bother to speak to... My unsocial skills kicking in.
•There came a knock on my door. "Olivia? It's Sirius."
I got up from my bed which was my current desk and opened the door. "Hey."
"You do realize it is the afternoon." I shrugged, Sirius sighed. "I've been a boring host, haven't I."
I shook my head. "I wouldn't change you for anyone."
Sirius smiled. "I would hope not but I am still not being a good host." I rolled my eyes. "Would you like to do something? You've been cooped up for a very long time."
"Mmm." I smirked. "Want to help me become an Animagus?"
"No."
I frowned. "Whyyyyy?" I whined.
Sirius chuckled. "It is not an easy thing to do. It could go wrong even if you can handle the month task of keeping a leaf in your mouth."
"Siriuuusssss....." I clasped my hands together, twisted my body like a child and pursed out my lips. "Please... I wanna be an parrot."
"Absolutely not. I can't have you getting hurt."
I sighed. "Fine. I'll just go ask Luipin." I moved passed him.
"Now hold on." I kept walking. "You can't just go to someone else because I said no."
"Luipin!" I walked down the steps.
"Olivia." Sirius chased after me. "Stop acting like a child."
Lupin walked into the hall. "What is all this noise I hear?" Tonks came out behind him.
"I want to become-."
"Lupin. Don't help her." Sirius said.
Lupin smiled amusedly. "I don't even know what you two are arguing about."
"I want to become an Animagus." Lupins smiled fell. "Please. I'll be careful. And you guys can watch my every move."
They looked at each other then me. ""No."" Lupin and Sirius both said.
I groaned. "Whyyy."
"Olivia it is a very dangerous process." Lupin said.
Sirius raised a hand to point to Lupin. "Exactly what I said."
"You did it." I said to Sirius.
"I was immature and had a good reason to." Sirius sighed. "I should not let you be alone for to long." I put my hands on my hips, Sirius looked to Lupin. "Tell her she can't."
Lupin looked at me. "Olivia, you're to young-."
I pointed lazily at Sirius. "He became an Animagus in fifth year."
Lupin looked to Sirius. "You told her."
I looked to Sirius, Sirius threw up his hands in surrender. "She asked. I didn't think she would go and want to be one."
"Who wouldn't." I scoffed. "If someone has the opportunity to turn into an animal don't you think they would want to?"
"Not if they could possibly turn into a halfbreed or worse."
"I'll be careful..." I looked between them. "Please..... If I become a parrot I can go out without anyone knowing it's me.... I can deliver your mail and talk to my friends." They looked at each other and had a silent conversation. "I can catch rats easier, I think."
(Do parrots catch rats? Do rats even live in the jungle?) I smirked, they gave me bored expressions.
Tonks rolled her eyes. "It's either you guys help her or she helps herself." I smiled at her, she winked back. "Have fun." She went back to the room she came out of earlier.
"It's dangerous." Lupin put his hands in his pockets.
I looked between the two adult figures. "I'll have you two."
Sirius looked to Lupin, Lupin sighed. "It's up to you."
Sirius looked at me. "You are grounded to the house unless we let you out."
My eyes widened. "Really? You'll let me?"
Sirius sighed. "I know how stubborn you can be."
I gasped. "Thank you!" I clasped my hands together. "When can we start? I can go get my notes. Where do we get the leaf? And the ingredients?"
Both of them chuckled under their breaths, Sirius put a hand on my shoulder. "You do realize if you do this you will be an unregistered Animagus."
I nodded. "And I'd go to jail if caught." Sirius and Lupin looked back at each other, I sighed. "But I won't be. And if I am I'll go to Azkaban for a little then get out and live freely."
"You don't know what Azkaban is like." Sirius said sadly.
"But I know from your eyes." Sirius sighed, I smiled." And parrots are known to be resilient."
Sirius shook his head. "Seeing what other people have experienced is not the same as experiencing it yourself."
"Sirius... Can you guys ever just trust that I know my limits? That whatever bad things happen I know I am strong enough to get through them."
"No matter how many limits you think you can go through doesn't mean you have to."
"But I'd the ending is positive then why not? There are always positive endings because that's how life is." I shrugged. "With every up there is a down and with every down there is an up."
"Olivia." Lupin sighed. "We do trust you but-."
"But nothing. I'm fine with whatever life has to throw me. I always bounce back with time, I've practiced my whole life."
"We just need you to be careful." Sirius raised a brow slightly. "Do you promise to care about your own well being?"
I nodded. "I said I'm fine with anything not that I'll give up." I scoffed.
Sirius smiled and nodded. "Then we can start as soon as Lupin." He looked to Lupin. "Gets the needed supplies."
Lupin nodded. "I'll go out tomorrow." I smiled. "Don't be discouraged when it doesn't work the first time."
"I won't."
