High Inquisitor Bitch
04:07, 5 August 2024Weeks later the boring class of Professor Umbridge turned into the class of doodles and drawings for me. I have now perfected the animated drawings Draco so kindly gave me last year.
But doing this isn't affecting me since Snape already taught me about dueling and Defense Against the Dark Arts spells. I have no need to really pay attention to the baby lessons for any reason other then to complete my work.
I have kept my cool with her fake nature but at the end of the day I don't care if I am rude to her. It's not as if she deserve my respect at all, not after the meeting we had first class.
But fortunately I don't have to deal with her except on Monday during fifth/sixth and then Friday which is just during sixth. Any other times I try to ignore her like the plague so I don't mess up this year, again.
News about who I am spread around the school, at least in the Slytherins, probably the others to but they haven't tried to be my fake friends.
Draco isn't hiding our friendship but he still treats me the same, he dropped the Mudblood title and changed it to Solace. I wonder if he has a thing against first names...
Harry has been more quiet but I can still see the anger inside him, I told Sirius, he wasn't sure other than the fact the Ministry is going against him with the newspaper.
Sirius also told me things were getting busy on his end so the mirror calls might not always be answered in the future immediately.
Mione, Ron, and I have held down the fort of the friendship, waiting for Harry to wake up and realize he has friends here. And I think he finally did wake up...-
Mione and Ginny was eyeing Ron as he read a pamphlet and shoved his mouth with breakfast food. I just smirked at him and kept eating my breakfast.
"Do you ever stop eating?" Mione asked.
Ron looked up from his reading. "What?... I'm hungry."
I smiled. "At least he is using a fork."
"Ha ha. Very funny." Ron said sarcastically then looked behind me.
Mione turned also. "Harry." I looked behind me to see Harry standing.
Harry looked at all of us. "Can I join you?"
"Pardon me professor but what exactly are you insinuating." Everyone quieted down and looked out the great hall where Umbridges voice was coming from.
(Lord Jesus, now what?) We all stood up and walked towards the door.
"I am nearly requesting that when it comes to my students you conform to the proscribed disciplinary practices." McGonagall's voice filled the stone corridors, I walked out with other students to see them both on the stairs.
"So silly of me, but it sounds you are questioning my own authority in my classroom, Minerva." I watched Umbridge as she took a step up to tower over McGonagall.
"Not at all, Dolores." McGonagall took a step up. "Merely your medieval methods."
"I am sorry, but to question my practices is to question the Ministry, and by extension the Minister himself." Umbridge said as if she was offended. (You think yourself so high and mighty.)"I am a tolerable woman. But the one thing I will not stand for is disloyalty."
McGonagall stepped down a step. "Disloyalty" She scoffed softly.
Umbridge took a step up and turned to us. "Things at Hogwarts are far worse than I feared."(Yea, you came here.)"Cornelius will want to take immediate action." She simple raised her chin and walked away with a purpose.
I turned around to Mione, Harry, and Ron. "She is going to destroy this school." I scowled.
--------Umbridge was serious when she threatened to get Cornelius to interfere more. In less then a weeks time an order came from the Ministry of Magic, making Dolores Umbridge the High Inquisitor of Hogwarts.
Which basically gave her the power of a Vice Principal, sort of, I am learning her roll through the days of her tyranny.
She started to walk the halls with her chin even higher with her new power, her wand out in case she needed to use it on students to fix their messy uniforms or separate couples from each other as if there was a kissing sickness spreading.
She even began to focus on the Weasleys and their sparklers or games they played to bring the fun and laughter into the school. She was basically making the school a dull Muggle boarding school, one you would see in a movie.
But what is worse is when she started to take a clipboard to each class, writing impurities she found in the class on her paper. She had already been to my Charms and Transfigurations class.
I fell in love with McGonagalls passive aggressive nature to Umbridge while she was there. McGonagall is my second favorite teacher because I can tell that behind her age is a badass woman.
Now I was in Divination sitting next to Mione, Ron and Hary sat together like normal. (If Umbridge comes here she will absolutely destroy Trelawney.)
Sybil fidgetingly stood in the front of the class. "Hello." She fumbled to get a specific book from her pile. "Dream... Dream interpretation is a most important means of divination, for the inner eye sees sights to which the outer world is blind." Sybil ran into her small table, knocking over a book.
The class chuckled as Sybil knelt to pick up her book, I gave a look to Mione as Umbridge walked in with her normal smile on her face.
Mione shook her head. "Don't do anything stupid."
I rolled my eyes and looked back at the scene that was about to unfold.(As if I wouldn't protect Sybil from Umbridge.)
Professor Trelawney looked at the pink shoe that was in front of her, then her gaze trailed up as she stood back up with her book. "What, are you doing, here?"
Umbridge smiled. "Don't mind me, dear. You see Professor Trelawney isn't it?" Sybil hummed a conformation, Umbridge smiled more. "In addition to my teaching duties the Ministry has asked me to act as an informal observer here at Hogwarts, Cornelius's eyes and ears as it were. Nothing whatsoever to worry about, please do go on, I'm just a fly on the wall."
(Flies tend to be very annoying, especially when they fly around the room buzzing in everyone's ears.)
"Oh." Sybil nodded, Umbridge moved to the side with the clipboard at the ready. "Well... Dreamin-."
"Just one question dear." Umbridge interrupted Professor Trelawney. "You've been this post. How long, exactly?"
"Ahum, nearly... sixteen years" Trelawney said nervously.
"Quite a period. And it was Dumbledore who appointed you?" Umbridge stopped at the hallway leading outside the class and turned to Sybil.
"He, di-id." Sybil said as she waited for Umbridge to stop writing and ask another question. Umbridge looked up and nodded for Sybil to continue teaching, Sybil nodded and turned to us. "Interpretati-."
"Just one more question if it isn't to much to bother." My jaw clenched as Umbridge rudely interrupted again. "Could you please predict something for me please." She said in a sweet voice
Sybil hesitated like anyone would. "I'm sorry?" (Stay calm.)
Umbridge smiled. "One, tinsy little prophesy." Sybil stayed quiet, Umbridge hummed and brought her quill to the clipboard. "Pity."
"You can't preform a prophecy by command, everyone knows that." I said, everyone turned to me. "Well at least I thought everyone knew that."
Umbridge smiled. "Well you would know a lot about prophecy's with your mother being who she was. Terrible she couldn't foresee her own future." She said in a fake pouty voice.
"Excuse me." I scowled, Mione pulled my robe to stop me. "At least I'm not pretending my parents are dead like someone else."
(Where the hell did that come from?)I looked at her eyes of fury and smile of facade. (Definitely hit her hard.)
Umbridge giggle. "See me after classes today, Miss Solace." She turned and left.
I rolled my eyes, Mione nudged me. "Why would you do that?"
I shrugged. "She was being rude."
--Once again Umbridge interrupted another one of my classes, I eyed her as she circled behind Snape. "You applied first for the Defense Against the Dark Arts post. Is that correct?"
(He did? Damn, he would be a wonderful Defense teacher.)
"Yes." Snape droned.
"But you were unsuccessful?" Umbridge said in a pouty voice, I rolled my eyes.
Snape gave me a warning look to not do anything stupid. "Obviously." Ron snickered quietly.
Umbridge marked her paper and turned away. "That will be all." She smiled, I eyed her and she walked to the door.
I turned back at Ron, he raised a brow. "What?" Snape hit the book in his hand over Rons head.
I smiled. "Ron, you should be smart enough to know not to laugh at him."
Ron sighed. "Whatever."
Snape looked back at the class with his deadpanned expression. "Lets continue."
