Ch 113

Why did I have to be here, why did you guys have to come. 

"Hi there, So I presume you're Sasuke Uchiha. My name is Sai and-" 

"Get lost." 

I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes and sigh, a very tempting urge. Sai was trying to introduce himself politely and Sasuke rudely interrupted without a care in the world. 

Could I just get up, like right now? Like just walk away so I didn't have to witness this. 

"Even if I force myself to smile, I guess I'm just easy to hate. Naruto took an instant disliking towards me as well." 

No one spoke as the awkward silence grew even more uncomfortable. 

"However, I have a funny feeling that you and I will get along better than I did him." 

No, no you won't. 

Silently respectfully bowing at this embarrassing mess but also not because this guy is obviously ignoring me. Doesn't even spare me a glance. It's a little weird that he's ignoring me even though I'm right beside so many 'important' people. 

I'm obviously not just a random. 

While in my internal monologue, Sai falls to the floor from getting startled by Sasuke's genjutsu. 

"Sasuke!" 

Kabuto gave a warning shout, but no one paid attention. "It's probably not a good idea to provoke Sasuke too much, he's even more difficult than I am." 

Orochimaru barely turned his head to address Sai, he wasn't exactly under his radar. 

I suppressed a snort from those words, he wasn't wrong in theory. But Sasuke was just a spoiled brat, Orochimaru is literally a terrorist. 

Sasuke, finally having enough, stood up. 

"I don't care about this guy. Come one Orochimaru, let's go," he turned to leave but Sai started speaking again. 

"I've heard a lot about you from Natuo. He's been trying to find you this whole time, for the entire three years." 

Sasuke took a moment to answer, still masked in darkness, his whole vibe was someone who wanted to intimidate. 

"I remember someone like that." 

I hate everyone here. He is acting like he doesn't really remember people from his home village, huh? What is this? I will walk away, I can't bear to witness this madness. 

"Orochimaru, let's go," Sasuke tried to leave again. He even took a few steps away. 

"You mean a great deal to Naruto. At least that's what Sakura told me." 

But Sai had to open his mouth again. What is he trying to gain? I know he's weighing his options and seeing how Sasuke will answer, but seriously? 

"As far as brothers go, I have only one. The one that I must kill." 

With these parting words, Sasuke finally disappeared in a puff of smoke. Something I should've done a few minutes ago.

"I'll be leaving you now as well. Here, take this Kabuto, I want a bingo book made out of its contents," with a hiss, Orochimaru handed Kabuto a folder, to which he took with both hands. 

A very respectful gesture, one Sasuke and I have never shown. "

Right," Kabuto nodded his head. 

"I'll leave everything up to you." 

After the confirmation, Orochimaru glanced at me. "Look into it, you know more than I," then he walked away. 

Yes, thank you for putting in on the spot, right in front of Sai. This damn snake is going to make me have high blood pressure. 

And his words, does he mean look into my chakra? I know it's unique but damn. 

"What's this? The Anbu black-ops registry of members directly assigned to the Hokage." 

Kabtuo's voice caught my attention. I stood up and walked over to him, looking over his shoulder at the files. 

"Looks authentic," I muttered. 

There were many faces I did and did not recognize. Either way, the information was basically useless to me. 

"Hitori, are you coming with us?" 

You smart bastard, thank you for using my fake name. If Sai found out- 

You know what, Kakashi knows I'm here. I'm probably known by the higher ups by now in the leaf. 

Puta madre! 

"I need to speak with Sasuke after," I shrugged. 

Kabuto and I knew Sasuke slept around where he was taking Sai, but Sai didn't know. While he would find out, it wouldn't be by my hands. 

Kabuto nodded and turned, walking down a hall. After a minute of walking, Sai spoke up. 

"I wonder..." 

Kabuto hummed in acknowledgment, still facing forward. I glanced behind at Sai, waiting for him to talk. 

"Would it be possible to meet the rest of Orochimaru's subordinates? The ones who are here?" 

Sai asked, and it was quite a bold statement. Also, who would want to meet anyone associated with Orochimaru. Most suck and half will die. 

"There won't be any need for that, in fact, it's impossible. That's because there are no other people down here." Kabuto had an amused smirk on his lips. 

I rolled my eyes and addressed Sai for the first time, "you met everyone down here." 

Sai turned to me, giving one of his fake smiles, "and who are you?" 

I had to take a moment, because of the way he spoke, the tone in his voice, was very much mocking. Almost asking if I had enough status to even talk. He has a very punchable face. 

"I can see why you're so well disliked, you are rude," I didn't even bother to be polite back. I speak informally with Orochimaru, this brat is fair game. 

"Am I?" he asked. 

You know, I'm starting to think he just never learned manners. Like a child who seems rude but is just growing up. I'll let it pass, I already have one I'm dealing with. 

"You are, you need to work on that. Don't want to end up someone's enemy." 

I calmly, like a patient parent. No longer annoyed by his antics. I've dealt with worse and too much to be dealing with this. 

"Like your enemy?" he asked again, in that same mocking tone. Kabuto was beside me, looking amused as he listened in. 

"Not mine, you're too young to be my problem." 

My God am I speaking like an old woman. I associate myself with being older for so many reasons and I don't even catch myself doing it half the time. 

"But to your previous question, I am Hitori." Sai seemed to recognize my name, raising a brow. 

"Ah, that chakra scientist. You don't have much to your name." Seriously, is he doing this on purpose or does he not know how he sounds? 

"But you have heard of me," I looked amused. 

I'm having a back and forth with someone younger than me in front of Kabuto. Wild day. 

"Anyway, nice to meet you." 

I give Kabuto a nod before we finally reach another hall as we go our separate ways without another word. 

Leaning against the wall beside Sasuke's room, I close my eyes and wait for him to be back. An hour went by this way. 

While it would be normal to be bored, if your anyone with an active imagination, you'd be perfectly entertained. 

But then I sensed Sasuke and turned my head in the direction he was coming from. When I could actually see him I made my way towards him, only stopping when I reached him. 

"Don't sleep, you'll get a visitor." 

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at my words, but looked like he understood what I meant. He tilted his head back, looking behind at nothing in particular. 

"Hm," he answered. 

While I do know Uchiha hums, that doesn't mean I appreciate them. A hum of confirmation was how he answered, and in this case, I'll allow it. 

I raised a hand towards his body, reaching. Sasuke tensed, but didn't go to grab my wrist, even though I could see he wanted to. I smiled, just patting his shoulder a few times. A silent goodbye. 

"Take care of yourself." 

And I walked away, leaving the underground hideout before Naruto, Sakura and Yamato destroyed it.

A/n Sorry that this is a little messy, I've been, or more so, my mind's been busy. See when you write fanfiction, you also think that you can write actual books. That's what I'm doing, writing original books. I don't have writers block, I have 6 stories I'm making. Enjoy~
