95: Getting married
17:39, 30 August 2024That same day.
Maeve's point of view
'Stop that!', I laugh as Max hits me with the pillow.
'First you have to say it!', Max says seriously.
'I'm not saying it!', I giggle.
'Maeve Vettel!', he laughs, covered in the blankets next to me.
'That's exactly why I won't say it, because of my last name', I tell him.
'Maaaaaaaaaaaaaeveeeeeeeeeeeee', he pleads.
'Will you shut up if I say it?', I ask.
'Yes, I promise', Max giggles, thinking I'm gonna say it.
I keep my fingers crossed behind my back. 'Alright, I promise to never sign with Ferrari'.
'YOU SAID IT!!', Max jumps up. 'Oh my god!'.
'I had my fingers crossed!', I admit giggling.
'You are a bitch, do you know that?', Max hisses.
'You are the one telling me you had feelings for me... first!', I laugh.
'That's not funny to joke with, I am a man with feelings!', he hits me with the pillow again.
'Feelings for me yea!'
'Stop it', he hisses.
'Make me'
A silence fills the room, his blue eyes meeting mine as he pulls me on his chest.
'You didn't just say that', he says laughingly.
'I definitely did'
He strokes the hair out of my face. 'You are beautiful, do you know that?'
'Well duhu, I'm my parent's daughter', I nonchalantly say, even though I'm feeling butterflies because of his words.
'Maeve, I'm serious. I would lay in bed with you all day, if possible', he smiles at me, his perfect teeth almost blinding me, his pretty eyes fixated on my face.
'Me too, Maxie'.
Luciana's point of view
'How do you feel about tattoos?', I ask Charles, he's gaming on his PlayStation.
'I don't hate them, I guess it depends on what it represents', Charles answers.
'So what if I got one?', I say carefully.
'It's fine, I won't break up with you or something... unless it's like a really big picture of my head', he laughs.
'Oh shit, you don't like that?', I joke.
'Princess, why are you asking me this? When are you getting a tattoo?'.
'I don't know, soon, with Maeve and Sienna', I smile.
'That's fantastic, do you have ideas?', he says, while still fixated on his game.
'We wanted something F1 related because we know each other because of F1'.
'Good idea, like a car? Maeve could do 5, Sienna could do 55 and you could do 16', he smiles.
'Oh shut up', I laugh. 'I'm not getting a tattoo that's about you'.
'Why not?', he asks, suddenly not interested in his game anymore.
'What if we break up?', I ask.
'Princess... don't say that, we will start a family together', he stands up and walks towards me.
'You probably told you-know-who the same thing', I joke.
'Princess', he says seriously. 'Come on, don't act like that'.
'I'm sorry, I just have to be real about this, we could break up if this doesn't work'.
'I'll break up with you right now if you keep saying this. I'll marry you to prove my point, right now... right here in Vegas'.
'Really? You would?', I ask.
'Yes of course!', he laughs.
'Alright, call your friends, we're getting married', I laugh as I grab my phone.
'What?', he asks.
'Come on! Call Pierre, Lando, Max... who else...'
'Russell and Albon', he laughs, standing up quickly. 'We're getting married?'.
'We are! Now hurry!'
I grab my phone and dial his number. 'Listen Dad, don't freak out-'
Sienna's point of view
'Hurry Lando! Vamos! ', I say when I enter the car.
'Which wedding chapel is it?', Lando asks.
'The little white wedding chapel, Luciana wanted to get him real good', I laugh.
'Oh my god, all of his friends are there... what about his mother? His brother?', Lando asks a legit question.
'She probably told him this was just the wedding, they'll have a party afterwards or something. Besides, wouldn't Carlos FaceTime them or something?', I say.
'Oh my god, our friends are getting married', he says excited.
'Relax, it won't last long', I say seriously.
'Don't ruin the mood they are perfect for each other', Lando answers.
'Lando, the wedding won't last long, remember?'
'Oh right, I forgot'.
We drive to the wedding chapel, only 15 minutes from our hotel.
I spot all of our friends, all of them from the grid, you can't expect Leclerc to invite his out-of-the-country friends, it's a long flight.
Besides, it won't last long anyway.
Sorry to break it to you.
Charles' point of view
'Non, mama. Carlos va te faire un facetime, ne t'inquiète pas', I explain to my mother.
This is all going really fast and I don't know if this is the right decision.
I don't mean that I don't want to marry her, I do... I really do but not like this.
A chapel for which you pay 30 bucks. No, I want to give her a wedding that is so big the whole city will complain about it. A wedding that costs 70.000 euros if not more, she deserves it all.
But not this.
Pierre walks towards me. 'It's aisle time, Leclerc'.
'Pierre I-'
'Come on, don't back down. You love her, now do this for her', he says.
'What happened to you being my friend? You are supposed to be my getaway car if something is wrong', I hiss.
'Nothing good ever starts with a getaway car, now believe me, walk down the aisle', he smiles.
I sigh, maybe he's right. I look at our friends, this wedding chapel is small and we're inside this room, if I walk out now there is no going back.
I'm getting married.
