The Academy.

In the past, this institute was the Hidden Leaf's Training center for shinobi, and the hopefuls underwent rigorous training here.

However, Peace and Stability in the Modern World brought about big changes.

Today, a general curriculum of educational courses is offered in addition to Ninjutsu Training; it is an Academic facility where the next generation can develop their talents in a field of studies.

~

THERE HE STOOD, with a prideful grin on his face, standing right infront of the Academy. "Alright, this is the stage where I make my mark."

"Are you an idiot?" Shikadai rhetorically asked him, he stopped on his tracks, looking at Boruto with a questionable face. "You were just suspended for two weeks. It was bad enough with everyone gossiping about you. Show some restraint."

The Uzumaki pouted slightly, thinking of a certain someone. If that Jonin girl didn't sent me for suspension, I wouldn't be in trouble at the first place, then again Konohamaru nii-chan will....

"What's done is done.. We can't worry about that." Boruto slyly said, walking past Shikadai with Denki on his side.

The Nara turned around, hoping to catch up with them. "Hey wait up!"

.

.

The Yamanaka's eyes slightly scowl at the Yellow figure, standing on the rooftop firmly. She fixed her hitai-ate with closed eyes, and sighed at her sudden realization.

Can't worry about that huh?

I guess being a teacher isn't that.... bad....

~

"Hey guys, it's Boruto Uzumaki! Nice to meet you all!" Upon entering the classroom, He walked in with his Friend, Denki trailing off behind them.

Shikadai rolled his eyes, stretching his arm while walking past them. "I told you to restrain yourself." Yet, his warning didn't even affect Boruto.

"Hey Denki, where are our desks?" Boruto ignored Shikadai, facing Denki who was fixing his glasses. "Oh, you can sit anywhere..."

"Oh, so that's how it works!"

Boruto went over various of seats, greeting every single person he past through.

Inomi sighed while watching him from the window. She rubbed her chin. Boruto is optimistic and gullible like his father— but he really needs to listen to Shikadai.

He sat down with Shikadai and Denki, laying on his desk with a satisfied yawn. "Mom's finally gonna ease up on me."

"Your mom?" Denki asked Boruto, who was slightly obnoxious. He replied with a smile. "I had to study at home... for two weeks..."

Hmm..

"That's him."

"How come he wasn't punished after doing something like... that?"

"I mean.... you know...."

"That wasn't just a prank, If he plunged over town, it would've been a disaster!"

"We'd be all dead by now!"

"Shh! He can hear us!"

On the other side of the classroom, a group of boys started gossiping over Boruto and that little incident.

Denki was listening to their conversation from the beginning. He glanced at Boruto, who heard the same thing, with a hint of concern.

"That's..."

Boruto got a sudden pang of discouragement, lowering his head in disappointment.

"Don't pay attention to them." Shikadai said calmly, cutting off Denki before he could say a word.

Boruto looked up to him with a blank expression, before mumbling a response. "I'm not, they can say whatever they want." He brushed it off.

Shikadai hummed. "Okay then."

"Wait, I forgot my textbook!" Boruto exclaimed with a smile.

Shikadai and Denki deadpanned at his sudden behavior. The Nara looked at him, as if he was scowling. "It's your first day!"

"Share your book with me, Shikadai." Boruto insisted with a mischievous grin. He placed his hand over Shikadai's head, reaching out for his textbook.

"What a drag... No way..!" Shikadai said, pushing Boruto away from accessing his book.

"Come on, don't say that!"

"Boruto-kun sure stands out." The Class rep, Sumire said looking over their situation. There she sat with ChoCho and Sarada.

"Oh really? Aren't people paying attention to him because of the stunt he pulled?" The Akimichi turned to Sarada who was reading her textbook.

"You know Boruto, don't you Sarada?" She asked the Uchiha, filing her nails into a perfectly good shape.

"Our parents are friends. That's all." Sarada replied, minding her own business without paying much attention to Boruto.

"So you're saying that...you're Childhood friends?~" Chocho cooed out, practically teasing her friend with a charming smirk.

Sarada sighed, filling her notes with words from her textbook before returning a response to her curious friend.

"I wouldn't call us that. In fact, I kinda find it annoying being lumped together with him. Most of them are.... although." She lowered her head. " Mr and Ms. Yamanaka's child was an exception."

"Hm.... I don't blame you for finding him annoying. His dad is cool though." ChoCho stated, putting both of her hands behind her neck.

Sumire on the other hand, was daydreaming about Naruto, I might say... he's quite a charm.

"Lord Naruto, the Hokage...."

"Yup!" ChoCho replied to Sumire with a curt smile. "Harsh Experiences in life, polish a man."

"Riding on the Hokage's Cottail's, huh?" A new voice chuckled, passing by the top row. Inomi slightly leaned at the door frame, spinning her kunai while looking at her twin.

Yes, she spies on him every single day (Not literally stalking— she looks after him when she gets a break.). She sighed at his attitude. Ah... Got that from his dad.

"I-Inojin!" Sumire stuttered, she wasn't that ready to scold a student.

Inojin looked back at Sumire while cocking his eyebrow. "Oops, did I just say that outloud?" He smiled.

His question brought Shikadai's attention, as he stood up with Boruto and slightly approached him. "Hey Inojin, take that back."

"Oh sorry, If I touched a nerve I take it back, but that's just how everyone feels right now. If anyone caused a runaway train, it would be normal to throw them in jail."

That wasn't really the case that the got mad— It was pretty obvious that he didn't want Inomi to stress out. She just got there, why would she needed to be greeted with another Task?

It was annoying for Inojin.

He glanced at the door, seeing his twin scowling at him which made a lump in his throat. He frozed feeling his sister taking control of his consciousness.

~

He opened his eyes, seeing a figure right infront of him. This must be Mind Transfer Jutsu huh?

"Hey... what's the big deal?" Inojin pouted at his sister who was crossing her arms and glaring at him.

"Didn't I just say to keep your mouth shut? If you don't mind.... I would gladly fix this situation." She stated.

"Imouto.." He whined as he clasped his hands together, begging for her to change her mind.

She sighed and scoffed. "Fine, but I'll still live in your consciousness."

~

Inojin blinked as he faced Shikadai and Boruto with a courteous smile.

"—Hey, are you even listening?" Shikadai genuinely asked, suspicious of Inojin's sudden behavior. He shook his head before offering a hand to Boruto.

"Keep the atmosphere from being awkward. It'll ease up the sudden tension everyone felt." She instructed.

"Sorry, I felt like my mouth just slipped out some words but.... Hey Boruto, how long has it been?" He responded, ignoring the gasps from behind.

ChoCho tugged on Sarada's tight dress, whispering with a blunt voice. "I thought you got along with that Yamanaka.... I expected him to be Nice!"

"That's...that's not the Yamanaka I'm talking about." Sarada whispered. "They have twins yknow?"

"Twins??" ChoCho gasped silently.

"Hi, Inojin." Boruto greeted back taking his hand. Inomi chuckled silently with a smirk. "See? It's not that hard to get along with a brat."

Inojin mentally rolled his eyes from her statement.

"Are you guys friends?" Denki asked while looking at the three of them, confused at the scene he just witnessed.

Shikadai scratched the nape of his neck before answering him. "All of our parents are friends."

"Listen Inojin, I know you've been like this for a long time, but why do you always shoot your mouth off?"

Inomi had an irk mark on her forehead. "He isn't wrong."

Inojin felt himself pout.

"But I'm the only one who can say that to your face." Inomi muttered. "Let me respond."

'Inojin' smiled. "It's nothing, I swear I'm not causing any trouble." 'He' tilted his head. "I won't try to cause a bigger commotion."

...

"Uh-huh.... Forget who our parents are, anyways let's be friends!" Boruto stated, offering his hand yet again to Inojin. She gladly shook it with a closed-eye smile.

"Sure."

Her eyes widened as she saw her body —almost falling down at the door frame, shutting her eyes out.

Release.

.

.

.

.

She woke up back in her own body, while she immediately helped herself stand up and quietly run outside. A certain student heard a fragile object falling down the floor, noticing a strange kunai with a carved name on it.

...

...

... He chose to ignore it.

~

SHE HEARD A MANLY VOICE coming from a classroom across the hall— it was pretty obvious what was going on since the room was crowded. Inomi silently walked up to the classroom, and she expected Boruto to be in the situation.

As she look furthermore, she saw a dark-skinned man grabbing Denki's collar, lifting him from the ground.

Of course she knew, this was the Senior of this Class. Iwabe Yuino.

"SHUT UP! Weaklings should keep their mouths shut! Just ten years ago, when we were at war. When Lord Hokage was just a shinobi on the frontlines, it wasn't like this at all. But in no time, this place turned soft and became a school for wimps! I can't accept that. A weakling who got accepted here for riding the Hokage's cottail's a nuisance!"

She remained silent, hoping to see a chance to interrupt their argument.

She pressed her lips into a thin line. A Shinobi isn't just about strength. A true Shinobi knows how to work on a team, become intellectual, strategize properly... That's a true Shinobi.

He was....wrong. Naruto became Hokage to turn Konoha into this. He worked hard to restore peace in the Shinobi Nation.

By other means, Inomi was already scowling at Iwabe.

"—I'll take you on!" Boruto smirked, challenging the oh-so-mighty Iwabe.

Inomi snapped out of her thoughts, as  her eyes widened. Her eyes drifted to Sumire panicking in fear.

Typical Class rep duties.

She approached her, and she whispered on her ear with a hush tone. "Don't worry, I'll interfere the fight when it gets too far."

"Huh?.." Sumire turned to see no one near her, silently mumbling regrets of being Class rep.

~

"This view is nice..." Inomi smirked while sitting on the big carved stone. Her presence was still unotice as she focused her attention right on the Arena.

"What do we do?!? What about Class?!" Sumire thought loudly in panic, looking at Sarada and ChoCho.

"So what? Just blame them." ChoCho shrugged, eating her chips while lazily looking at the panicking Sumire Kakei.

"This is so annoying..." Sarada groaned, looking at Boruto and Iwabe's intense stares. Boruto looked around the place, slamming his fist on his palm. "No way. This Exercise hall is like a ring, this is gonna be fun!"

Iwabe cockily smirked, while stabbing his rod to the ground. "Watch closely you guys! This is a Ninjutsu match according to the Academy Rules, Don't worry I won't use this, because if I did, you'd die." He said referring to his rod.

"Hm.. getting cocky huh? We'll see who'll chicken out.." Inomi muttered, looking blantly at Yuino. On the other hand— she was already holding a scroll.

"This is all my fault..." Denki silently mumbled, as Shikadai sighed. "No it's not. He brought it in on himself. He'll end up getting suspended again.." The Nara stated, scratching the back of his neck.

"You think that's all he get? He'll probably get expelled."

The both of them turned to Inojin, with shock expressions, who was walking up to them at ease. "But I guess he's not a coward, he's just stupid."

And then, the Match had began.

~

Sweat dripping and heavy breathing filled the air. Boruto suprisingly defeated Iwabe. The Uzumaki had a grin on his face, looking at his opponent's eyes.

He was mad.

Iwabe instantly took out his rod, filling it with rocks and forming it to a hammer. All of them gasped at his skill.

"He..he knows earth-style too?!" Shikadai questioned in shock while everyone was loudly chattering from above.

Inomi's ears perked up hearing what they just discovered. She looked up closely on what was happening recently.

"Ah man!" Boruto groaned as he saw Iwabe raising the hammer up. "I..I want to be like the Hokage! I want to fight like him... that's my path! I don't want it all to end here!" He yelled with all his might.

"Super Beast Scroll!"

Out of blue, a big butterfly flew past them and took the hammer from Iwabe's grip. Sarada looked closely upon the technique, looking back at Inojin. "Isn't that your specialty Inojin?"

"I..I Don't draw butterflies..."

Sarada arched a brow at him. "Then who's using that technique?"

.

.

.

.

"Imouto?"

Loud claps were heard coming from the corner, seeing Inomi revealing herself holding Iwabe's staff. "My my, what an intense spar... Although you didn't invite me."

Inojin slightly gulped at her appearance.                                         She's going to kill me... kill us...

"Hey! Wh-What's the big deal?!" Iwabe asked the newcomer, who interrupted their so-called fight.

The Yamanaka's face darkened at his cranky attitude, but she decided to smile at him.

"Hm? Is that your way of respecting your Sensei? I thought you weren't allowed to use weapons." She chuckled, effortlessly holding the staff gently in her hands.

"I guess rulemakers are the rulebreakers right?" Her voice hardened as she broke the dirt from the rod, shocking everyone that saw what she just did.

"And for the record, I was highly curious by that speech you gave your classmates a while ago." She tilted her head. "Was it about us being soft and wimpy? Answer me or you'll be taking punishment."

The Yuino widened his eyes. She reminded him on what he told everyone that he would never use his staff from the beginning. He shakily nodded his head, answering her question.

"She.... sh-she..."

"What about me Iwabe-san? Doesn't it make you look uncool when you thought being a shinobi is all about power?" Inomi made the tension even darker, putting his own rod near his neck.

Inojin and Sarada widened their eyes. The Uchiha gripped on the railings, hopefully that he would get her message. "Just accept your defeat!... she's gonna kill you!..."

.

.

Iwabe sighed in defeat, looking on the side, ashamed. "I'm so uncool..."

Loud cheers were heard dedicated to Boruto's victory.

But it won't last for long.

"Boruto!" Shino called out running towards the exercise hall, panting through the halls.

Shikadai looked at the place where she was just standing, but she suddenly disappeared in thin air.

He gripped on the Kunai, looking on the detailed carved-name on the weapon.

"So that's how you look like Inomi Yamanaka. This is gonna be a drag..."

~

"We're home!" The twins stated, taking their sandals off, Ino approached the two with a warm hug.

"Welcome back!" Ino squealed, hugging them tightly. Inojin slightly pushed her arms away from him, clearly suffocating.

"Mom... Too tight—....can't breath!"

"Yeah..yeah... I'm going to let go!"

She guided the two of them near the kitchen, seeing Sai turning his head with a curt smile, waving at them. Inomi stretched her arms before sitting with her dad.

"How was school, sweetie?" Ino asked the kids, as she focused her eyes on the kitchen counter, cooking dinner. Inojin approached his twin, taking off her hair tie, and brushed her hair smoothly.

"Eh.... It was fine until Boruto decided to be hypocrite, almost got us in trouble again.." Inojin grunted, responding to his mom.

"Oy! Don't answer so confidently when you almost started an argument with him.." Inomi pouted to her brother. Sai chuckled at their conversation, patting his daughter's head. "I'm sure everyone in the class was also like that, he just sta-"

"Ha? You're the one who threatened Iwabe at that fight!"

"Stop excusing me for such lies! I stopped him from killing Boruto on spot!"

"Atleast I can do it myse—"

"Are you two gonna stop or you're craving for another lecture?" Ino smiled, looking at them deep in the eyes. The two of them nodded their heads without hesitation.

"No mama!"

Ino's mood turned normal as she heard their words. She happily placed their food on the table, the twins were silently drooling over the table as they focus their attention to one thing.

Miso soup. Yakitori. Onigiri. Mochi. Takoyaki!

"Mama! You're the best!" Inomi cheerfully commented, gripping on her father's arm, he was fighting for his life.

Ino giggled at her daughter, waving her off as she sat down with everyone else. They joined their hands together near their chest, as they prepare to eat.

"THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD!"
