Stop writing sex ed stories which just end up with your character having a lot of sex.

If you're writing in first person, description of your character's appearance becomes hard in itself. The number one rule is to not to start off with saying, "Hi! My name is Blah. I'm 150 cm tall with brown waves that cascade down my back softly and blue eyes that sparkle and have gold flecks. I'm not skinny but I'm not fat either. My ass is round and my breasts are perky. Gosh I'm so ugly!" I will shoot you.

Stop using physical appearances to compare characters. I read this Twilight fanfic where Renesme (HOW DO YOU EVEN SPELL THIS NAME UGH) has a twin and their character descriptions are literally that Renesme has an "okay butt" but her sister has a "nice piece of ass."

Stop using the 'protective brother' cliche.

Stop writing rapist backgrounds. Rape is not something you can just flick off as a nice little plot twist. Just stop.
