"What the fuck Fiona?" Carl yells. "Yes Carl, you have to go." she says. "Isn't there something else we can do? Who signed me up for that shit anyways?" Carl yells again. "I guess I did when you first got put away, I guess I was thinking you still were going to be.. corrupt." she sighs. "Look, its for two months. It cant be that bad." she says. "Fuck Fiona!" Carl groans.

Fiona signed Carl up to be a summer camp counselor. She only did it because she was assuming Carl wasn't going to get any better. She wanted to keep him out of as much trouble as she could. She figured if he was away in Texas for 2 months, he couldn't bother anyone. Well, considering Carl changed, theres no reason for him to go anymore. But, the camp will fine you 2 grand if you opt out. Yes 2 grand. It's because they need to find replacements quick. The camp is pretty big, filled with kids though. All the counselors are teenagers around you and Carls ages.

Carl calls you. You pick up. "Come over, right now... we need to talk." he sighs. You're worried. You quickly get ready and make your way over to his house.

"She did what?" you yell. Carl sighs. "All because she thought I would still be troubled." "When do you leave?" you ask Carl. "Next week." he replies and sighs again. "Fuck." you say. "Well, this week is going to be the best week of your summer. Starting now." you say. You take Carl upstairs and you two have some fun. A stress reliever you would call it.

After you're done, you stay for dinner. "And then, she says she's pregnant!" Lip yells at Ian. "See thats the best part of being gay! No accidents!" Ian laughs. You look at Carl. He's sad. You rub his back. "Carl, don't worry you'll be fine." He tries to smile.

The rest of the week goes by super fast. You and Carl literally spent 24/7 together. You're helping him pack. "Make sure you brush your teeth every night and day." you hand him his tooth brush. "Okay mom." he rolls his eyes and laughs. "I'm just looking out for you." you say. "Are you sure you're going to be okay?" you ask. He nods. "Come." you kiss his forehead. "Hurry up Carl, it's almost time to go." Fiona yells. He rolls his eyes and zips his suitcase up. "You ready?" you ask. He nods.

You and Fiona take Carl to the L. Before you let him get on the train to the airport, you whisper something in his ear. He smiles. He hugs you tight and gives you one last kiss before he leaves. "I love you Delacruz, stay safe." he says to you. "I love you too Gallagher."
