Chapter 5: Short Drunkard

17:46, 24 May 2021

I decided that I'd go to Stoner's party with Veteran, because I knew I'd end up drunk by the end of it. To my disappointment, though, Stoner promised not to spike the punch so that Veteran would come. But, that won't stop me from getting as drunk as I possibly can at this party. I just want some release from the horrible day I've been having.

As Veteran and I walked into Stoner's house, we were greeted with flashing lights and loud music. I looked around and saw that, to no surprise, The Gentleman and Mr Cheese were here. It didn't look like Gentleman was having that much fun, though. He looked pretty annoyed about the music, which was rap, unsurprisingly.

I walked into the kitchen and saw the bowl of punch on the island. I knew that if Stoner hadn't spiked it, I would. That would be for my own cups of punch, obviously. It would be rude to just dump a whole bottle of Stoner's tequila into a measly bowl of punch. So, instead, I grabbed a cup and filled it halfway with punch. Next, I had to grab the alcohol from the top of the fridge. I'm just now realizing I'm too short to reach it. Man, I hate being short!

But almost out of thin air, Stoner came into the kitchen.

"Whoa, dude. If you wanted some drinks you could've said something." Stoner then proceeded to grab a wine bottle and fill the rest of my cup with it.

I thanked him and walked back to where Veteran was. He was sitting down, chatting with Angel. For some reason, she always goes to Stoner's parties. Maybe she has a thing for him, or she's just a really supportive friend to Stoner. Eh, it doesn't matter. All that matters is how drunk I'm gonna get.

I nearly chugged my drink, but I didn't to avoid suspicion. I tried to just quietly sit with Veteran, but Angel started talking to me.

"Oh, hello Player! It's been awhile since we last saw each other."

"Uh, yeah. I guess it has."

She gave me the same look that Mother gave me earlier today. So I braced myself for what I knew was coming.

"Player, are you alright?"

I was going to say what told Mother but I was cut off by Veteran. "I don't think he is. He had a pretty bad nightmare last night and hasn't said anything about it."

I was so mad that he just told someone about it, so I just grabbed one of the wine bottles and locked myself in the guest bedroom. I drank so much that I could barely process anything. I wanna see Veteran again...
