Jay Jay POV

Something was wrong.

I knew it the second I stepped into the Section E classroom.

Normally mornings here were loud. Felix shouting about something stupid, Drew arguing with Ci-N, Eman sitting on someone else's desk like he owned the place.

But today?

The moment I walked in-The room went quiet.

Seventeen boys.

All staring at me.I stopped in the doorway slowly.

"...Why are you all looking at me like that?"

No one answered.

Felix was trying very hard not to laugh.

Drew was leaning back in his chair grinning.

Rory looked like he was about to say something but was holding it in.

Calix had his arms folded, watching like this was entertainment.

Eren and Denzel were whispering to each other.

Edrix had his phone in his hand like he was about to record something.

Blaster was spinning a pen between his fingers.

Mayo looked confused but amused.

Josh was already shaking with silent laughter.

And Ci-N?

This batang kumang looked like a villain.

He was sitting sideways in his chair, chin resting on his hand, staring at me with a smile that screamed trouble.

My eyes narrowed.

This trouble was thinking something.

"No."

Ci-N blinked innocently.

"No what?"

"Don't start."

Felix suddenly lost it.He burst out laughing.

Drew slapped the desk.

"BRO SHE KNOWS."

My stomach dropped.

"Know what?" i asked scared do death...

There is no way....

Ci-N slowly stood up.Way too dramatically.

Oh no.Pls no no no!

He clapped his hands once."Section E."

Everyone immediately went silent

Felix wiped tears from his eyes.

Ci-N cleared his throat like he was about to make the announcement of the century.

"Ladies and gentlemen-"

"We're all boys," Eman interrupted from the back.

Dude I am girl here!Though they don't see me as one but still!

Ci-N ignored him.

"Today..."

He turned slowly toward me.

"...we celebrate a historical moment."

My heart sank.Oh no.He pointed dramatically.

"At last..."

His voice became louder.

"JAY JAY HAS A FUTURE."

The classroom exploded.

Felix screamed."FINALLY."

Drew clutched his chest."I thought this day would never come."

Eman stood up."OUR GIRL HAS A CAREER."

Denzel slammed the desk laughing.

Edrix actually started clapping.

Josh pointed at me dramatically."FUTURE LAWYER."

My jaw dropped."...What?"

Ughhhh they knew!! This king of vipers!

Felix ran toward my desk.

"Future Attorney Jay Jay."

My brain short-circuited.

"How do you know that?!"

The entire class slowly turned their heads.

Toward one person.

Keifer.

This king of vipers was leaning against his desk, arms crossed, watching the chaos like it was the most normal thing in the world.

My eyes widened.

"You told them?!"

He shrugged casually."I mentioned it."

"YOU MENTIONED IT WITHOUT ASKING ME?!"

"That's just the class."Felix pointed dramatically.

"He walked in this morning and said-"

Felix deepened his voice.

"Jay Jay is becoming a lawyer."He announced trying to imitate that king's voice!

The class erupted again.

I stared at Keifer like he had committed treason.

"You announced my life decision like BREAKING NEWS."

"It was information."

"IT WAS PRIVATE."

Ci-N gasped dramatically."Nothing is private in Section E."

Felix nodded seriously."Especially embarrassing things."

I grabbed the nearest notebook and threw it at Keifer.

He caught it.

Of course he did

."Violence already?" he said. Smirking.

Ci-N clapped again."Focus people."

He pointed at me.

Then said"Our girl has chosen a profession."

Felix leaned over my desk.

"Why lawyer?"

"Yeah," Drew said.

"You hate studying."

"I do not hate studying!"

"You slept in math before our camp."

"That was because the room was warm!"

Denzel leaned forward."...Actually it makes sense."

I frowned."How?"

"You argue with everyone."denzel said making my eyebrows furrow

I swear I will make his baby learn how to fly!

The entire class nodded immediately.

"TRUE."

"FACT."

"VERY TRUE."

Calix smirked."You've been practicing courtroom arguments your whole life."

"I HAVE NOT."i shouted.

Ci-N suddenly grabbed a black hoodie from Eman's chair and threw it at me."Put it on."

"What?"i stared at the place hoddie he threw!

"Your lawyer robe."

"This is a hoodie."

"Close enough."

Felix immediately draped it over my shoulders."There."

He stepped back and studied me.

"Huh."i said confused trying to adjust the hoddie now turned into a black robe.

Rory tilted his head."She actually looks intimidating."

Drew nodded slowly."Yeah."

"Like she's about to sue someone."

"I WILL SUE ALL OF YOU."I said angrily I was about to smile at the intimidating comment!

Ci-N grinned."See?"

"Natural talent." Felix said

Blaster leaned forward."So which university?"

My brain blanked."...What?"

"For law school." he asked again.

"Where are you studying?" Kit asked.

"Which country?" Eren added.

"Are you going abroad?" Edrix said.

"What type of law?" Rory asked.

"WHAT TYPE OF LAW?!" I yelledThere are types of law? Now??

Felix gasped dramatically."You haven't decided?!"

Oh no bro i didn't even knew!

Mayo shook his head."Unprofessional."

Josh crossed his arms."Very unprepared."

"I DECIDED TWO DAYS AGO."

The class erupted again."ONLY TWO DAYS?!"

"THIS IS RUSHED.""WE NEED A CAREER MEETING."

Ci-N leaned close to my ear."So Future Attorney Jay."

"...What."i asked and furrowed my bros at the comment.

"When I commit crimes-"

Felix screamed."HE ADMITTED IT."

"I DID NOT." that little batang shouted!

"You said crimes!" another ulupong said.

Ci-N ignored them and pointed at himself."You'll defend me right?"

"...Why would you commit crimes?" I asked

He smiled sweetly."For fun."

That made me frown even more nowLike..what the fuck?

"I'm refusing."

"You can't refuse your friends."

"You are not my friend."

Your my brother but I won't say itAhihihi!

"OUCH." batang said clutching his chest!

Everyone laughed again.

Then Keifer finally spoke from across the room.

"So."

I looked at him badly! I hate ya you revealed my secret!

He tilted his head slightly."Future lawyer."

"Don't start."I warned

"What kind of lawyer?"he asked

"I don't know yet." i said finally thinking.

"Criminal lawyer?" Drew suggested.

"Corporate law?" Kit said.

"Divorce lawyer?" Ci-N yelled.

My bros met again at that!

"YOU'RE ALL GETTING DIVORCED." i yelled making them scared!

Felix looked horrified."I'm not even married!"

"Who would even marry you?" I asked smirking

Making him frown!

"PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE."i shouted again making-The class burst into chaos again.

I buried my face in my hands."This class is unbearable."

But when I looked up again...My eyes met Yuri's.

He hadn't laughed once.

He was sitting near the window, watching everything quietly.

Watching me.And suddenly...

The memory of our fight came back.

The tension.

The words we threw at each other.

Ughh my mind I really need to talk to him now!

But for now..I quickly looked away.

Across the room Keifer was still watching me with that annoying little smile.

Like he was enjoying every second of my suffering.

Ci-N suddenly snapped his fingers in front of my face."HELLO FUTURE LAWYER."

I shoved his hand away."Stop."

But unfortunately for me...The teasing had only just begun.

If anyone asked me what the worst decision of my life was…

It would be telling Keifer anything.

Because somehow that boy had turned my career decision into public entertainment.

The teasing had not stopped.Not even a little.

In fact—It had escalated.

Dangerously.

Ci-N was the main reason.

Which was exactly why I was glaring at him right now.

He was standing in front of the class.

On top of the teacher’s platform.

With a ruler in his hand like a judge’s hammer.

“Order in the court!” he shouted.

The entire class immediately started banging their desks.“ORDER!”

“ORDER!”

“THIS COURT IS NOW IN SESSION!”

I dropped my head on my desk.“Oh my God.”

Keifer leaned over.“This is the best day of my life.”

Ci-N pointed dramatically.“Today we witness the first trial of Attorney Jay Jay.”

The class clapped loudly.

Drew stood up immediately.

“I volunteer as the criminal.”“Of course you do,” I muttered.

Ci-N slammed the ruler on the desk.

“Defendant Drew Mercado is accused of committing the terrible crime of—”

He paused dramatically."He still has debt to pay!.”

The class gasped.

Felix clutched his chest.“MONSTER.”

Denzel pointed.“that qould never happen.”

Drew raised both hands.“Objection.”

“You can’t object,” Ci-N said.“You’re the criminal.”

“That seems unfair.” Drew complained.

Ci-N turned to me.“Attorney Jay Jay.”

I slowly lifted my head.“No.”

“You must defend him.”ci-n ordered.

“I must not.” I shot back

“Lawyers defend criminals.”Ci-n said.

“He deserves jail.”I said matter of factly.

He still owed my 1000 pesos.Well technically not because keifer paid is already.

He gave me 3000 pesos.

Hihiihi.

But Drew doesn't have to knowHe needs to learn to pay back!

Drew pointed at me.“THIS IS BIAS.”

Felix slammed the desk.“OBJECTION.”

“YOU ARE NOT IN THE COURT,” Ci-N yelled.

“WE ARE ALL IN THE COURT.”the snake commented.

Ci-N dramatically pointed the ruler at me.“Attorney Jay Jay.”

I crossed my arms.“What.”

“Defend your client.” ci-n stated.

I stared at Drew.“…Did you return the money?”

He shrugged.“Maybe.”

I pointed at Ci-N.“Your honor.”

“Yes?” ci-n asked.

“Lock him up.” I stated again!

The class exploded.Felix fell off his chair laughing.

Even I had to hold the chair so I can't fall while laughing.

Drew looked betrayed.“YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DEFEND ME.”

“I AM DEFENDING SOCIETY.” I said trying to control my laugh.

Ci-N wiped fake tears.“So proud.”

I threw a pen at him.“Shut up.”

Ci-N ducked.“VIOLENCE IN COURT.”

Felix leaned over to Drew.“You’re going to jail.”

“I HATE THIS SYSTEM.”I said frustrated!

Ci-N raised the ruler again.“Final verdict.”

He slammed it down.“Guilty.”

The class started chanting.

“JAIL!”

“JAIL!”

“JAIL!”

Drew collapsed dramatically on the desk.“I trusted you.”

“Your mistake,” I said.

Ci-N jumped off the platform.Then he walked slowly toward me.

Too slowly.

With a smile that made me suspicious.“Attorney Jay.”

“…Stop calling me that.”I said annoyed.

“I have a question.” batang said.

“What.” I asked already annoyed.

He leaned towsrds my ear.“If someone insults a lawyer…”

“Yes?”

“Is that illegal?”

“No.”

“Hmm.”He stood up straight.

Then suddenly he put his hands behind his back and started pacing in front of my desk like a prosecutor.

“Your honor,” he said loudly.“There is a serious issue.”

Felix leaned forward excitedly.“What issue?”

Ci-N pointed at me.“This lawyer.”

“…What about me?” iasked rasing my eye browes.

“Seems very aggressive.”Bantang commented.

Denzel nodded.“True.”

“She threw a pen earlier.”

“Assault.”

I rolled my eyes.“Oh please.”

Ci-N suddenly pointed dramatically.

“I accuse Attorney Jay of having anger issues.”

The class gasped dramatically.

“SCANDAL.”

“UNPROFESSIONAL.”Felix whispered loudly.

“She’ll lose her license.”

“I DON’T EVEN HAVE ONE.”I said angrily.

Ci-N leaned closer again.“You seem irritated.”

I forced a smile.“I’m not irritated.”

“You look irritated.”

“I’m perfectly calm.”

He smirked“you are.”I froze.

The class went silent.

Ci-N grinned wider.“Say something."

“…No.”

“Come on.”

“Not happening.”

Felix leaned forward.“Do it.”

Drew whispered.“Say it.”

Josh whispered dramatically.“comon say it.”

Oh no.Oh no.Oh no.I glared at Ci-N.

“You’re doing this on purpose.”

“Maybe.”

“You’re annoying.”

“I know.”

I leaned forward.“Back off.”

“No.”

“Ci-N.”

“Yes?”

“Back. Off.”

He leaned closer.“Make me.”

And that was the exact moment my patience snapped.

“You are so damn—”I stopped.

Shit shit shit!

Too late.

The classroom went completely silent.

Slowly…Very slowly…

Everyone turned their heads.Toward one person.

Keifer.Oh no.

He had heard it.He was standing near the back wall.

Arms crossed.Watching me.

Then he smirked..

With the most dangerous smirk I had ever seen.

My heart dropped into my stomach.

Felix whispered.“…Oh no.”

Drew whispered.“…She triggered it.”

Ci-N grinned like he had just won the lottery.“ooooooo.”

I buried my face in my hands.

“I hate all of you.”

The classroom suddenly filled with quiet chanting.

“keifer”“keifer.”“keifer”

I looked up slowly.

Keifer was already walking toward me.

Slow steps.Calm.

Way too calm.

I pointed a finger at him.“Don’t.”

He didn’t stop.“Keifer.”

Still walking."Mark Keifer Watson.”

Felix gasped.“She used his full name.”

“That’s serious.” edrix muttered.

Keifer stopped in front of my desk.

Looking down at me.And smirking.His eyes were sparkling with amusement.

“You cursed.”

“I didn’t.”

“You said damn.”

“That’s not a curse.”

“According to the Profanity it is.”

The class leaned forward like they were watching a movie.I crossed my arms.

“your a gago!.”

Fuck not again.“You made it 2 now.” keifer grinned.

“That was a mistake.”I tried to protest.

Keifer leaned slightly closer.“So.”

I glared at him.“So.”

“Profanity.”My heart started beating faster.

The entire class held their breath.

Ci-N whispered dramatically.“Moment of truth.”

I leaned back in my chair.“Do it and I’ll kick you.”

“You won’t.”He said and made my heart to a stupid dance.

“Try me.”He smiled slowly.

Then suddenly—He grabbed the edge of my desk and pulled me forward slightly.

And kissed me.

Right there.

Cupping my upper lip in between..And out of instincts I took his lower one..

Every thing seemed to fade their as he moved his lip against mine..

And me?

I was fighting desperately...

I might loose my control..

No no nothis can't happen...

NotIn the middle of Section E.

I have to push him..

But I can't...I Needed this..

The classroom erupted.Felix screamed.“OH MY GOD.”

Drew slammed the desk.“HE DID IT.”

Ci-N ran in circles."KISSING KISSING.”Denzel shouted.“I SAW THAT.”

Josh fell backwards in his chair laughing.

Eman yelled.“AGAIN.”

When Keifer finally pulled away…My face was burning.Bright red.

Felix pointed dramatically.“LOOK AT HER.”

Drew leaned forward.“She’s blushing.”

“I AM NOT.”

“You are.”

Ci-N clutched his chest.“Our lawyer has emotions.”

I grabbed my notebook and threw it at him again.“SHUT UP.”

The class exploded into laughter again.

Meanwhile Keifer just leaned casually against my desk like nothing had happened.

AND KF COURSE HE WAS SMIRKING.

Like he hadn’t just destroyed my entire reputation.

He looked down at me.Still smiling.“You should curse more often.”

"I miss kissing your lips."He murmured.

My brain stopped functioning.

Section E continued screaming.

And somewhere across the room…I noticed Yuri watching us.Silent.

Unreadable.And for the first time that day—

The chaos in my chest wasn’t only from embarrassment.

I need to talk to him..

This can't go on we can't avoid each other..

He was also a friend of mine before the list.And after that..

Maybe.I should trust him once...

It was lunch time now and.....

If humiliation was a sport…

I would have won the gold medal today.

Because ever since the kiss incident happened, Section E had been completely unbearable.

Actually—They had been unbearable before.

But now?Now they had ammunition.

And they were using it mercilessly.

The bell had already rung for lunch.

Normally that meant freedom.

Today it meant more teasing.I tried to leave the classroom quickly before anyone could start anything.

Bad idea.Felix immediately blocked the door.“Nope.”

I narrowed my eyes.“Move.”

“No can do.” He spat.

“Felix.” I said.

“Yes, Future Attorney Jay?”Felix made a comment.

I pointed at the door.“Move before I sue you.”

O didn't wanted to wait for ohr lunch in the class that king ulupong had ordered..

The class burst out laughing again.

Drew leaned back in his chair.“She’s using lawyer threats already.”

Ci-N wiped fake tears.“She’s growing up so fast.”

“I WILL THROW SOMETHING.”I said to ci-n

Felix pushed to the seats..“our food is comming jay stay.”I just let him i was to hungry to argue.

But unfortunately…

The rest of Section E were still laughing and smirking.

Big mistake.

The interrogation began.Denzel leaned forward first.“So.”

“No.” I moved over his sentence.

“You didn’t even let me ask.”He complained.

“I know what you're going to ask.”of course I did.

Rory grinned.“Let him ask.”

I stabbed my fork into my food.Adobo...“Fine.”

Denzel folded his hands like a detective.“How was it?”

This dude maybe I should actually teach his baby how to fly!But I won't do that! I am a good God mother.

Felix gasped.“THE QUESTION.”

Drew slammed the table laughing.“BRO WENT STRAIGHT FOR IT.”

I pointed my fork at them.“None of your business.”

Ci-N leaned over the table.“But you didn’t deny it.”

“CI-N.” I said“Yes?” he grinned.

“Eat your food. Before i turn into a baracudda and actually scarifice you to get peace.”

He looked scared made a peace sign before finally eating his meal.

..

I just groaned and covered my face.

Across the table, Keifer was completely calm.

Which made everything worse.

He was just sitting there eating like he hadn’t caused a national disaster thirtyMinutesago.

Felix pointed at him.“You.”

Keifer looked up.“Yes?”

“You look too calm.”He interjected my thoughts at him..

“I’m eating.” He was way to calm.

“You kissed her in class.” Felix question made me almost throw my fork at him..

“So?”the king asked..

The entire table exploded again.

Drew pointed.“HE SAID SO.”

Eman clutched his chest.“No shame.”

Josh leaned closer to me.“So Jay.”

I sighed.“What now?”

Did loose control!?”I nearly choked.

“JOSH!”

The whole table howled.

Felix leaned forward.

“She didn’t answer.”

“Because it’s NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.”

Ci-N tapped the table dramatically.

“Your honor, the witness refuses to answer.”

“I WILL THROW MY TRAY.”Blaster suddenly pointed at Keifer.

“Wait.”

Everyone looked at him.

“you are an suspect.”

Keifer raised an eyebrow.“How?”

“You kissed her.”

“So?”

“You also curse rule should apply to you too.”

Felix gasped dramatically.“DOUBLE RULE.”

Drew slammed the table.“DOUBLE KISS.”

I stood up instantly.“ABSOLUTELY NOT.”

Ci-N laughed so hard he almost fell off his chair.

“Relax, Future Lawyer.”

“I AM VERY RELAXED.”

“You are shaking.”

“I AM NOT.”

Felix leaned toward Keifer.“So…”

“Yes?” keifer raised a brow.

“Would you do it again?”I stared at them.

“Why are you asking him that.”

Keifer smirked slightly.“If the rule happens again.but even if it doesnt it wont atop me from kissing her.”

The whole class lost their minds.

Denzel fell backwards laughing.

“BRO SAID YES.”

I grabbed my tray.“That’s it.”

Felix grabbed my sleeve.

“Where are you going?”

“Somewhere quieter.”

“Good luck with that.”

I walked away from the table before they could say anything else.

My ears were still burning.Section E was insane.Actually—

NoKeifer was insane.

Who just kisses someone in the middle of class like that?

I walked toward the quieter side of the class room..

Trying to calm down.Trying not to think about it.And then…

I noticed someone sitting alone near the window.

Yuri.

He had his lunch tray in front of him but he wasn’t eating.

Just staring outside.

For a moment I hesitated.But we have to talk...

I want things to be normal again..

Because the last real conversation we had…Was the fight.

The tension between us had been thick ever since.

But today…

Something felt different.Maybe it was because I had been thinking about it since morning.

Maybe it was because I was tired of avoiding him.

I walked toward his table.

He noticed me halfway there.

His expression didn’t change.

But his eyes followed me.

I stopped in front of the table.

“Hey.” I said camly..

Yuri blinked slightly.“Hey.”

Awkward silence.

I sat down across from him.For a few seconds neither of us said anything.

The class noise filled the space.

Finally Yuri spoke.“the class is loud.”

I sighed.“You have no idea.”

He looked past me briefly.Toward the table where Section E was still shouting and laughing.

Felix was literally standing on his chair reenacting the kiss.

I covered my face.“Please ignore them.”

Yuri’s lips twitched slightly.“They seem entertained.”

“They are demons.”Silence again.

Then he looked back at me and chuckled.“Lawyer.”

I groaned.“Not you too.”

“It suits you.” He said..

I blinked.“…Really?”

“You argue a lot.” He said laughing.

“That is NOT a compliment.”I complained..

He shrugged slightly.

But then his expression grew more serious.

And suddenly the memory of our fight came back again.

The accusation.The anger.

I took a slow breath.“Yuri."

He looked at me.

“I’ve been thinking.”He didn’t interrupt.

“I said some things before.”A pause.

“I shouldn’t have.” I said the truth I shouldn't have said that..

He was hurt..

Yuri’s gaze stayed steady.“You were angry.”

“yes i was but still i shouldnt have said it..”

Silence stretched between us.Then I said quietly,

“But I don’t actually believe you would hurt your best friend.”

I didn't I really didn't..

Yuri froze slightly.For the first time that day…

Real emotion flickered across his face.

I continued.

“I was frustrated. And worried. And everything came out wrong.”

Another pause.“But I trust you.”

Even though I don't want to I do trust him..

Even though every thing is against him I do trust him a little..

The words hung in the air.For a moment Yuri didn’t move.

Then slowly…His shoulders relaxed.

Just a little.

“You shouldn’t trust people so easily.” He sad making me freeze but..I shook my head.

“I’m not trusting everyone.”

I met his eyes.“Just you.”

He is and was my friend and he will be that.. fired forever..

For the first time in days…The tension between us started to fade.

Not completely.

But enough.

Yuri finally picked up his fork again.

“the class will start another war if you stay here too long.”

I glanced back.

Felix was now pretending to faint while Drew dramatically “revived” him.Ci-N was narrating like a sports commentator.

I sighed.

“They’re embarrassing.”

“They’re loyal.”

I smiled slightly.

“That too.”

Across the cafeteria…

Keifer glanced over at our table.

Just for a moment.

Then he looked away again.

And for the first time since morning…

Everything finally felt a little calmer.

Even though there will be hard times

One thing is sure..

This class will stand together..

Our section E...
