Another Asgardian?!

Natasha piloted the plane while Steve and Tony stood next to each other. I sat across from Loki. I don't know why, but I couldn't keep my eyes off him.

"She looks so familiar", Loki says, but his lips weren't moving. I looked at him in confusion.

"What the...", I said in my mind. Did I just read Loki's mind?! Loki looks at me.

"You can read minds too?" Loki asks in his mind.

"I didn't know that I could. Until now", I said in my mind.

"Have you inherited this power from a mother or father? Who are your parents?"

"Natasha and the guy that you mind controlled, Clint".

"I mean your real parents".

"I don't know. Why would you want to know?

"Barton told me about you. He told me that he and Agent Romanoff found you when you were five, with no memory. No parents".

"I'd rather not talk about this".

"We're not talking now, are we?".

"You know what I mean, Smart ass", I snapped. Loki smirks as I continue to glare at him.

"There's that look in your eyes", he said in his mind.

"What the bloody hell are you talking about?"

"I can see it. That look in your eyes. Of a child that was abandoned by her father and mother".

"Shut up. You don't know what you're talking about".

"Of course I do. I was you. You are me".

"I'm nothing like you. You're selfish, cruel, and dangerous and ruthless and a horrible person".

"One of these days, they'll turn against you and you'll want to join me".

"I will never join you".

"Don't pretend you aren't what you are".

"And what am I?"

"An orphan", Loki says in his mind. I ignored his insult. There was a sign of hurt in my expression which made Loki grin wider.

"Where's Clint?"

"Don't worry, I haven't harmed him. Yet".

"I swear if you hurt my father-".

"I sense a great radiation of power and it's coming from you. You're powerful. You might be useful".

"What are you up too?!"

"You'll see, mortal", Loki says in his mind. He smirks at me mischievously.

"Your boss wants me, doesn't he?" I asked in my mind. Loki's smile faded. "Why didn't you just mind control me or capture me when you had a chance".

"I wouldn't do that to a child".

The psychic connection or whatever it was, got disconnected. I didn't think Loki had a kind heart.

But it doesn't change who he is, I reminded myself.

I stood up and walked over to Steve and Tony.

Thunder rumbled in the night skies. Then lightning came out of nowhere. "Where's all this coming from?" Natasha asks.

I looked over at Loki, who seemed scared of the lightning. I smiled. "What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" I asked.

Loki looks at me, Steve and Tony. "I'm not overly fond of what follows", Loki says.

I realized who he meant. Thor was the cause of this lightning. He nodded as if knowing what I thinking. We heard a large thud on the top of the Quinjet.

Tony puts his helmet back on. Tony opens the door. Thor lands on the hangar door and pushes Tony out of the way. He grabs Loki and the two gods jump out of the Quinjet.

"Now there's that guy".

"Another Asgardian?"

"Yes. Guys, that was Thor, Loki's brother", I said.

"Is he friendly?" Steve asks. If the myths are right, maybe.

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract is lost", Tony says.

I walked towards the hangar door. "Bye". I jumped out of the Quinjet.

"Zee!" Tony, Nat and Steve shouted at me in unison, but I had already jumped out of the Quinjet.

Did I pack a parachute?......Oops.

I landed on my stomach next to Thor and Loki. "That did not go how I thought it would", I mumbled. I stood up. At least I'm not dead. "Don't you know it's not polite to steal, Thor?"

"Little one, this is something you and your mortal friends don't understand", Thor says.

"Little one? I'm 14", I said. "Listen, I know he's your brother, but he needs to answer to us".

"Mortal, he's not my brother", Loki said angrily.

"I have a name, jerk", I said.

"Your name is a letter".

"My nickname is a letter. My name is a name. What do you mean he's not your brother. The stories say-" I was cut off by Loki.

"The stories are wrong. Odin lied to me. I'm not his son and I'm not Thor's brother. I never was".

"He took you in because he cares. I'm sure Thor cares to", I said. I looked at Thor. "Just give us Loki back. He needs to tell us where the Tesseract is and what he's done to Clint".

Thor's expression changed. He looked like he had just realized something and whatever it is that he realized, it made him sad. "Zia?" Thor asks. Loki's expression changed into shock and...sadness?

"H-how do you know my name?" I asked. Loki tried to grab my hand, but I pulled away from him. "Don't touch me".

"This is impossible", Loki says. He looks at Thor. "There's no way that this is her. She's dead".

"We don't know that, Loki", Thor says. They looked back at me. What the hell is going on?

"We thought you were dead", Thor says.

"Why would I be dead? How do you know who I am?" I asked. "You two are actually scaring me right now".

"There's no need to be scared", Thor said.

"Then tell me what's going on. You two know something about my past. I want to know about my home, about my parents, about what and who I am", I said.

"Zia, I'm your-", Thor was cut off by Tony, who tackled Thor. They both fell off the cliff.

"TONY, YOU SON OF A JERK! I was about to get personal information!" I shouted. I walked towards the cliff. I saw Tony and Thor below the cliff. "TONY, THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOUR NICKNAME IS MORON AND OLDIE AND....JERK!"

I looked back at Loki, who still had the expression of hurt on his face. I placed a strand of hair behind my ear, getting it out of my face. I looked down at Tony and Thor. "This is unacceptable", I said to myself. "I'm friends with an idiot. I'm friends with a freakin idiot".

"You have no idea who you're dealing with", Thor says to Tony.

Tony looks around then looks back at Thor. "Shakespeare in the park?" Tony asks. "Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" I laughed at Tony's Shakespeare impression.

(I couldn't stop laughing while writing this part.)

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Loki walk towards me. I took my sword from my weapon belt and pointed it at Loki. Loki puts his hands up in defense. He sits down next to me as I lowered my sword.

I looked back down at Tony and Thor. I sighed. "This fight is boring", I said, raising my voice a little so Tony and Thor could hear me. Tony turns to walk away from Thor, but Thor throws his hammer at Tony, sending him into a tree. "That's more like it", I said with a grin. I heard Loki chuckle. I looked at him. I looked back at Tony and Thor.

"You really don't know who your parents are?" Loki asks. I looked at him again.

"Don't act like you care. Natasha and Clint will always be my mom and Dad. I'll find a way to break him out of that damn mind control", I said. Loki stared at me. I looked back at Thor and Tony. Me and Loki watched as Tony faught with Thor until Steve came to end the fight. "Damn it, Spangles. You're ruining the fight", I said. "If you're not here by the time we come back, I'll hunt you down and break you".

I jumped down to meet the three idiots. "Now, I don't know what you plan on doing here", Steve says.

"I've come to put an end to Loki's schemes".

"Then prove it. Put the hammer down". I laughed at Steve. Yeah, bad choice of words, America.

"Yeah, no. Bad call he loves his hammer", Tony says before getting hit by Thor's hammer.

"He really loves his hammer", I said.

"You want me to put the hammer down?!" Thor shouted. Thor hit his hammer against Steve's sheild, making Me, Steve and Thor fly backwards and land on the ground. Tony is still on the ground.

The four of us stood up from the ground. "Are you morons done yet?" I asked. Thor looks around, looking at the damage that was caused.

"W...We're the morons? You jumped out of the jet without a parachute", Tony says. Okay, that was an accident.

"Are we done or not, oldie!" I shouted.

Tony nodded before saying, "This is why your nickname is Pain".

"This is why your nickname is moron", I said. We both chuckled.

Natasha brought the Quinjet to us. We went into the jet with Loki. Thor came with us as well.

On the way back to the helicarrier, me and Tony sat across from Thor and Loki. Sometimes, I would catch them looking at me. Whatever they're talking about, it has something to do with me.

"What happened between you and the Gods of Asgard?" Tony asks. I looked at Tony with a glare. "I missed you too, Pain".

I smiled. "I missed you too, moron, oldie, jerk", I said. Me and Tony laughed.

"Pepper misses you", Tony says.

"I miss her too. Is she still picking up after you?" I asked. Tony rolls his eyes, causing me to laugh. I laid my head on Tony's shoulder. Tony puts his arm around me.

I looked over at Thor and Loki and I see Loki glaring at us.

I spoke to him with our minds.

"You look like you want to murder yourself", I said in my mind.

"You know he's not your real family, right?" Loki asked in his mind.

"I want to know about my past. About my birth parents".

"Now's not the time to tell you".

"Can you at least tell me something until we can talk in private".

There was silence before Loki finally thought, "You possess very powerful magic. It's going to put you in danger. And only I can protect you from him".

I lifted my head up. "From who?" I whispered.

"What are you telling her?" Thor asked.

I had just noticed Tony, Thor and Steve looking at me and Loki. "You stay out of her head!" Tony demanded.

"Zee, go sit up front with your mom", Steve said.

"But he knows something about my parents. My biological parents", I argued.

"Pain, he's just messing with you. He's trying to get into your head. Go with your mom", Tony said.

But I know for a fact he wasn't messing with me.

I did as I was told by joining Natasha at the front of the Quinjet. She glanced at me, but she had to look back at what was in front of us.

In the back, I heard Tony shouting at Loki. He thought it was a trick. They all did. But I know for a fact Loki knows something about my parents.

"If you really think he knows something, I'll have Fury interrogate him", Natasha said.

I looked at her. "You believe me?" I asked. Mom nodded. "Thank you, Mama".

What was Thor about to tell me? How did he and Loki know my name? The answer could have something to do with my birth parents or someone from my past. But do I really want to know?
