To the Island
00:17, 9 November 2025KEIFER POV
The reception was loud — music thumping, laughter spilling from every corner, Section E in full chaos. But then I felt a hand clamp down on my shoulder.
Kuya Angelo.
His smile was polite, but his grip was iron. "Walk with me," he said.
I followed, because what else could I do? Behind him came Aries, Jare, and Percy, all looking far too serious for a wedding party.
We stopped near the edge of the hall, away from the noise. Angelo crossed his arms, eyes narrowing. "You know, Keifer... Jay is our sister. Our family. If you ever hurt her—"
"—we'll bury you," Aries finished smoothly, though his grin made it sound almost like a joke. Almost.
Percy adjusted his tie, smirking at his reflection in the window. "And trust me, I'll look good at the funeral."
Jare sighed, shaking his head. "Ignore him. Just... don't break her heart, Keifer. She deserves happiness."
I swallowed, forcing a crooked smile. "I'm not going anywhere. I love her. More than anything."
Angelo studied me for a long moment, then finally nodded. "Good. Just making sure."
The tension broke when Percy clapped me on the back. "Alright, husband. Let's get back before Mayo starts dancing on the tables again."
As they walked away, I exhaled, laughing under my breath. Protective brothers, threats wrapped in love. And somehow, it didn't scare me. It grounded me.
Because they weren't just warning me. They were welcoming me.
JAY-JAY POV
The music had softened, the laughter fading into the background. It was time. Time to say goodbye to my family.
I turned, veil brushing against my shoulders, and saw them waiting — Mica, Rakki, Honey, Ella, Freya, Luna, Grace, Jare, Percy, Aries, and Kuya Angelo. All the faces that had carried me here, through chaos and comfort, through fights and forgiveness.
Mica hugged me first, whispering, "You'll always be our Jay, no matter what changes."
Rakki grinned, trying to lighten the mood. "Don't forget us when you're living the CEO wife life."
Honey wiped her eyes, muttering about ruining her make‑up, while Ella fussed with my veil one last time, reluctant to let go.
Freya smirked, but her voice was softer than usual. "Don't cry too much, or Keifer will think I bullied you again."
Luna and Grace clung to me, their tears soaking into the lace of my sleeves.
Then came Jare, Percy, Aries, and Kuya Angelo. Jare's smile was warm, Percy still couldn't resist checking his reflection in the window, Aries squeezed my hand, and Kuya Angelo pulled me into a hug that felt like a shield.
"Are you happy?" he asked again, voice low, protective.
"More than happy," I whispered.
He nodded, but his eyes lingered, memorizing me before letting go. "Good. Just making sure."
Behind him, Percy muttered something about "keeping Keifer in line," and Aries chuckled, adding, "We'll be watching him." Kuya Angelo didn't laugh — he leaned close, voice firm. "If he ever hurts you, Jay, he'll answer to us."
I laughed through tears, shaking my head. "You're all impossible."
But my heart swelled. Because their threats weren't just warnings. They were love, wrapped in chaos.
I stepped back, taking one last look at them — my family, my anchor before Keifer. "I'll always be your Jay," I said softly. "But now... I'm his too."
And with that, I turned toward the doors, where Keifer was waiting. My husband. My forever.
JAY-JAY POV
I got into the car, the satin of my dress rustling against the seat. Keifer slid behind the wheel, his hands steady on the steering.
"Keif, what about Kerian and Keigan?" I asked, glancing back as if I could still see them through the chapel doors.
"My wife," he said with that crooked smile, "they'll go home."
"And what about us?" I pressed, heart racing with curiosity.
He smirked, eyes flicking toward me before returning to the road. "We're going to the island. For our honeymoon."
I blinked, stunned. "Are you serious?"
He nodded, calm as ever.
The car filled with silence, but it wasn't heavy. It was the kind of silence that carried excitement, the kind that made my cheeks warm and my heart flutter.
I turned toward him, studying the man who once made me roll my eyes, who once felt like the last person I'd ever love. And now here he was — my husband, planning forever like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"An island," I whispered, half‑laughing. "You really don't do anything halfway, do you?"
He chuckled, reaching for my hand across the console. "Not when it comes to you."
And just like that, the road ahead felt endless.
Not scary.
Not uncertain.
Just ours.
"Are we going to change?" I asked, tugging lightly at the hem of my dress.
Keifer shook his head, eyes fixed ahead.
I didn't press him with more questions. The silence between us was enough, heavy but not uncomfortable.
We soon reached the deck.
The air was cooler here, salty wind brushing against my veil, the horizon stretching endlessly in every direction.
There was nobody on the deck.
No captain, no crew.
Just us.
It was an automatic boat — sleek, modern, humming softly as it cut through the waves.
Which meant it drove itself.
I glanced at Keifer, my heart thudding. "So... it's just us?"
He nodded once, his expression unreadable.
We got into the boat.
The hum of the engine was the only sound, steady and low, echoing in the empty cabin.
As soon as we stepped inside, Keifer turned, his eyes dark and unreadable.
Before I could ask, he pinned me gently against the wall.
My breath caught, the satin of my dress brushing against the polished wood, his suit still sharp from the ceremony.
His hand pressed beside my head, not harsh, but firm — like he couldn't wait another second to close the space between us.
"Keifer..." I whispered, heart pounding.
His smile was crooked, his voice low. "You're mine now."
The boat rocked slightly, waves slapping against its sides, and for a moment it felt like the whole world had narrowed to just us — wedding clothes, vows still fresh, chaos left behind.
