It's Out

This takes place a week after the previous chapter.

Kudo Mansion, 7:21 am..

Haibara and Conan were exiting his house to go to Doctor Agasa's, they were meeting with the detective squad there before school, so they went there early in order to keep their relationship secret.

Doctor Agasa opened the door to his house and let them in. "Good morning Shinichi, Ai-kun!" Doctor Agasa greets them as they walk inside. "Good morning Hakase." They both say with a bored tone.

"How long are you going to keep this secret thing going between you two?" Doctor Agasa asks earning confused looks from both the shrunken adults. He sighs going to explain. "You're going to have to tell them that you're dating sooner or later." He explains.

Conan groans and plops down on the couch, Haibara just rolls her eyes, obviously those two were not in the mood to meet them or go to school. "That's for us to worry about and take our time with it." Conan says sighing.

Doctor Agasa shakes his head and sighs as he goes to the kitchen. All of them are clueless to what's going on outside Doctor Agasa's house, near the open window, three teenagers were standing there eavesdropping.

"What did Conan mean by that?" Ayumi asks, thankfully they only heard the last part. "I don't know, should we ask them?" Genta asks whispering. "No, they'll know we were eavesdropping." Mitsuhiko says as they walk to the door and knock.

Conan walks up to the door and opens it revealing the 3 teenagers. "Good morning Conan-kun." Ayumi says smiling at him. "Good morning." He says as he closes the door behind them.

"Are you all ready to go?" Mitsuhiko asks, spotting Haibara on the couch, finishing her coffee. "Yeah let's go." Conan says grabbing his backpack, Haibara got off the couch and grabbed her backpack as well, they both wore their shoes and left the house yelling bye to Doctor Agasa.

They started walking to school, Genta having a small conversation with Mitsuhiko about food. Haibara spotted Ayumi looking at her, and when Ayumi realized, she quickly looked away.

Haibara slowed down a little so the 3 boys were now in front of them. "Ayumi-chan, what's wrong?" Haibara asks looking at her. Ayumi fiddles with her fingers and looks down, a tint of blush on her cheeks. "U-Uhmm Ai-chan..I.." Ayumi stutters not meeting Haibara's gaze.

"Remember the..b-boy...next to our class..well h-he..texted me for a project and he's..kinda cute..." Ayumi says in a voice barely above a whisper but Haibara heard, smirking. "Well well Ayumi-chan, have you caught a crush?" Haibara asks teasing her.

Ayumi hides her face in her hands and tries not to make a scene. "I don't know..is it a crush?" Ayumi says removing her hands from her face. "Looks like one, but what about Edogawa-kun? Don't you like him?" Haibara asks remembering her conversation with the girl at the camp.

"I..not really...I mean, Conan-kun doesn't seem to realize my feelings for him.." Ayumi says. 'oh trust me he did.' Haibara thought. "And..well...that boy likes to hang out with me, even though I mostly try to reject him because of Mitsuhiko and Genta's plans."

Ayumi explains, staring at her feet. "Well maybe you should sometimes reject those two and go with him, you'll get to know each other better." Haibara says, trying to support her friend.

Ayumi thinks for a while until they reach the school. "Okay thanks Ai-chan, I'll try it." Ayumi says before running off quickly to the lockers. The 3 boys turn to look at the strawberry blonde girl in confusion. She sighs and looks at them, hands on her hips. "Girl talk, mind your own businesses boys." Haibara said then walking off.

Teitan High School, 11:01 am..

The bell rings indicating the 4th period finishing, meaning lunch has started. Conan sighed as he closed his book and packed his stuff. He met with his friends outside. "Oi Conan, did you see Ayumi-chan? She's not here." Mitsuhiko asked as the boy approached them. "No, maybe she's with Haibara, let's go look for them both." Conan said as they all started walking to the cafeteria.

Conan spotted the girls near the wall, they were both focused on something, he followed their gazes ending up on a boy, he recognized him, it's the popular football guy, he played with him during an old school match, he was pretty good. Conan thought as he walked up to the girls, Genta and Mitsuhiko behind him.

"What are you staring at?" Genta asked looking at them. "Shh, not now Genta." Ayumi said looking at the boy talking with his friends while the lunch lady places food on their trays. "Are you guys looking at Tenko?" Conan said as all of them turned their heads towards him. "That's his name? It matches him as well, oh Ai-chan!" Ayumi says slightly shaking Haibara as the girl moves around her grip.

"You know him?" Haibara asks after Ayumi stops shaking her. "Yea we played football together the other day, we're good friends now." Conan says casually. "He's so handsome.." Ayumi says staring back at him as he walks to a table with his friends, sitting down. Genta and Mitsuhiko look at him confusingly and look back at Ayumi. "I don't see it." "Yea me neither." They both said as Haibara sighed.

"That's because you boys don't understand us girls, you're so dense, especially this glasses kid." She says giving Conan a teasing look. He huffs and crosses his arms. "That's not true." Genta says scoffing at her. "Guys stop, I wanna go talk to him." Ayumi says nudging Haibara on the arm. "What will you say to him?" Conan asks putting his hands in his pockets.

"I..don't know...can you ask him if he's single for me first..?" Ayumi says shyly. Haibara chuckles a little and looks at her flustered friend. "Why me?" Conan says suddenly looking at Tenko. "Because you said you knew him and you're good friends." Ayumi says arguing. He sighs and contemplates. "Come on, do it for the girl, Edogawa-kun." Haibara says pointing her head at the girl who seems like she'll drool over the boy any second.

"Okay, fine.." he says finally agreeing, Ayumi slightly squeals and smiles a big smile at Conan. He walks over to Tenko and puts his hand on his shoulder. "What's up Tenko!" Conan says as his friend looks up with a devilish smile that seems to make Ayumi's legs almost buckle.

"Hello hello, detective!" Tenko says standing up as he dabs his friend. (I had to include this 🔥) "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Tenko asks as he smiles at his friend. "Well, I was unfortunately a victim to this, let me just get to the point, there's this girl, Ayumi-chan, you probably don't know her-" "Oh that Ayumi girl! I know her, she's a cutie." Tenko says a bit loud. Conan sweatdrops and continues talking.

"Well she sent me here to ask you if you're currently dating." Conan says scratching his head. "Yoo, Tenko your crush likes you back!" A guy who was sitting next to Tenko says as he nudges him. "Oi don't get too loud.." Tenko says blushing a little.

Conan has a surprised look on his face. "Oh? You have a crush on her I see." Conan says teasing him. "Not you too..yes I do but I didn't know she did." Tenko says looking back at Conan. "Well, you better ask her out, she likes you man." Conan says patting his friend on the shoulder. "Okay, maybe later..after school?" The guy says flustered. "Good, I'll tell her." Conan says smirking.

"No! Don't, just..tell her that I'm not dating anyone.." Tenko quickly says making Conan laugh. "Okay I will, see you." Conan says before walking off back to the detective squad. "What'd he say??" Ayumi quickly asks eagerly. "He's not dating anyone, rest assured, also, you should probably stay a little after school."

Conan says standing next to Haibara. She nudges him with her elbow without anyone noticing. He winces a bit looking at her confused. "I'm going to the restroom, go eat before lunch finishes now hurry." Haibara says walking away. "Okay, let's go." Ayumi says happily. "I-I..forgot my..money, yeah I'll go get it, be right back." Conan says before also walking away.

He exited the cafeteria and someone then pulled him inside an empty classroom. "What happened between you and the guy?" Haibara asked letting go of Conan once they're inside. "Oh that, well he likes the girl too so he's planning on asking her out after school, that's why I told Ayumi to stay." Conan explains resting on the wall.

Haibara hums and sits on a table. "Why?" Conan asked her. She turned to look at him. "Because you took a long time and I wanted to know he won't play Ayumi-chan." Haibara said kicking her feet in the air. "Don't worry he won't." Conan said chuckling a little. "The man seemed flustered when I mentioned her." He said continuing his laughing.

"Reminds me of you when we first started dating." Haibara said smirking, Conan immediately stopped laughing and sent her a glare. "Stop bringing that up you evil-eyed witch." He said huffing. "Never." She said teasing him. "You also have your embarrassing moments.." Conan said, moving away from the wall and towards her. He walked up to her until they were inches apart, he put his hands on both sides of the table cornering her as she looked at him, breath going faster.

"Not here." She said trying to put some distance between them as she kicked her feet. He ignored her and leaned his head near hers and kissed her on her neck. He pulled away quickly and walked back two steps, making her surprised. "Come on let's go, they're waiting for us." He said as he left the classroom, she huffed and jumped off the table and walked out the classroom, slightly behind him.

Teitan High School, 1:47 pm..

It was the last lesson of the day, they had sports practice, but most of the students were sitting on benches since no one really cared for the last period, everyone was tired and wanted to go home.

Conan and Haibara were sitting slightly next to each other staring at the field boredly. Conan spotted his 3 friends talking and slightly looking at him and Haibara, they seemed like they were discussing something. He brushed it off claiming he was too tired to think about what they were saying.

A few mins passed and both heads leaned upwards looking at their 3 friends in front of them. They all breathed in and opened their mouths to speak. "We know your secret." They all said together. Both the shrunken adults had their brows raised in confusion. The 3 breathed in again and continued. "We know you guys are dating, we don't know for how long but we saw you." They explained looking at their 2 friends.

Both Conan and Haibara looked at each other silently, they looked at their 3 friends again. Haibara sighed before speaking. "When did you find out." Haibara asked resting her head on her hand. "We saw you in the classroom, Haibara you said something about reminding you when you started dating.." Mitsuhiko said, head down.

"And we saw you talking about something similar in Hakase's house this morning." Genta says looking at them both. "And that's it, you didn't hear anything else?" Conan asked. "No Mitsuhiko didn't let us, he said it's invading your guy's privacy." Genta says looking at his friend.

Haibara looked at Ayumi waiting for her to say something. "Ayumi-chan-" "I'm...not mad.." Ayumi said cutting her friend off. Haibara looked at her questioningly, she half expected her friend to cry and scream at her for lying. "I knew that Conan never really noticed me and I like someone else now.." She said looking at her.

Haibara paused for a moment, she opened her mouth to speak but then closed it, she brought her hand up and hit Conan on his head. "My bad, this idiot is just too dense, I'm glad you understand Ayumi-chan." Haibara said retreating her hand as she spoke over Conan's loud groan.

"What?!" Conan said looking at his girlfriend. Genta and Mitsuhiko both looked at Conan and were about to punch him too when Ayumi stopped them and looked at him, blushing a little from the embarrassment. "I guess now you know, but we're still friends right?" Ayumi says looking at her friends. "Of course Ayumi-chan." Conan said smiling at her.

"I thought you two hated each other." Genta said scratching his head. "Well..not hate, but our fighting is real..I guess?" Conan said earning a glare from Haibara. "Now that we know, can we tell the school?" Ayumi asks smiling. "I mean I don't see the problem, but it's not a must." Haibara said yawning.

The bell rings indicating the last period finishing. Conan got up stretching while holding his injured head from the punch he received earlier. They all walked to the lockers area and stood there gathering their stuff.

Someone nudged Ayumi's shoulder as she looked behind her and saw Tenko looking away blushing. She blushed too at the sight of him and from how close they were. "I-I..uh would you..like to..." Tenko stutters as he looks at Conan and he throws him a thumbs up. "Uh..would you like..to go on a..date with me?" He asks, finally making eye contact with her.

Ayumi's face perks up and she nods. "Yes! I would love to." She exclaims as he smiles as well. "Okay! I'll pick you up today at 7?" He says gaining his popular confident self back. She nods and he leaves smiling at Conan as he smiles back at him. "Ai-chan!! Omg he asked me out, I'm so happy!" Ayumi says shaking her friend again.

"Yea I saw..I'm right next to you." Haibara says latching on to the lockers when her friend stops shaking her. The locker Haibara held opened accidentally, making her let go suddenly and stumble as Conan walks towards the two girls at the right time and catches her slightly, making her stand upright by holding her hips.

She blushes slightly at the PDA and nudges him to let go. "Cuties!" Ayumi says smiling. She catches some people's attention as they look at the two shrunken adults and gasp. 'and here comes the gossip.' Conan thought as he sighs.
