Confessions

This takes place a few days after the previous chapter.

Agasa Residence, 9:34 pm..

Haibara was in the basement, on her computer, working. She was typing away when she heard the door open. She turned around and saw Conan come in.

"Hey.." He says walking towards her. "Hey, what are you doing here?" She asks and gets off of her chair. "I missed you, come on, let's go sleep." He says holding her hands.

"I have to finish this file, if you want, you can go up and wait for me, I'll be up there in 15 mins or so." She says but he refuses. "No enough for today, you've been down here for 2 hours straight, I know you're tired so continue tomorrow." He says getting closer to her and resting his head on her shoulder.

She sighs. "But it's really important that I finish this." "No you can save the file and continue it tomorrow like I said." He says hugging her waist. "You're making me really sleepy right now." She says closing her eyes. "Yea that's the point so now come on."

He pulls his head away from her shoulder and walks towards the door holding her hand.

They walk upstairs and reach her room, he lays down next to her, bringing her head on his chest. As he was leaning to turn the light off, he heard Haibara giggle. He stopped and looked at her. "What?" He asked confused.

"I remembered when you first confessed to me." She says chuckling. Conan then blushed a little and chuckled too. "Why now?" He asked. "Because you were also trying to get me to stop working back then." She said remembering. "Oh yea I remember too."

*Flashback*

'Haibara! Would you stop blaming yourself on what happened. You didn't have a choice! Stop trying to fix everything, it's not your fault.' Conan says yelling at her in her basement.

'No Kudo-kun! Your life is now ruined because of me, because of that drug that I made, let me fix this, it's the only thing I can do to cope with the guilt!' Haibara yells back tears in her eyes.

'No, I already told you, so quit overworking yourself, you haven't ate in days! And can you even remember the last time you slept?? Using coffee everytime will make your health worse!'

'it doesn't matter anymore..once I'm done with the new drug, you'll finally be able to be with Mori-san, and I've already chosen what to do with my life..' she says looking down, trying to stop the tears from falling.

'what do you mean..I don't love Ran anymore don't you understand?' he says frustrated, grabbing his hair and taking a deep breath. 'i promised to protect you when we defeated the organization a year ago, and I tend to keep that promise.'

'she's waiting for you..go to her, you don't have to lie to me so I can rest.' she says not looking up.

'Goddamit Haibara I'm not lying, it's because I fücking love you!' he yells looking at her, she looks up at him, a shocked look on her face. Her eyes are red from all the tears she cried.

'I love you Haibara..and I can't take it anymore, you drive me crazy..' he says breathing heavily. Haibara then suddenly kissed him holding his face. Conan was shocked too and then he held her neck and kissed her deeply.

They pulled away to catch their breath and looked at each other. 'do you believe me now?' he asked looking into her eyes. She just stared at him while wiping her tears.

*End of flashback*

"Oh gosh why are you reminding me.." Conan says forming a smile and looking away. "Why not, you were really nervous too, I could see it and it was really... something." She says smirking while looking up at him. "Whatever." He says blushing.

"Do you also remember the first time you took me out?" She says amused. "Yea and you took forever to get ready." He said rolling his eyes. "Oh..yeah I wanted to be good looking for our first date." She said blushing a little. "Well well, look who's talking." He says teasing her.

*Flashback*

Haibara was in her room getting ready for her first date with Conan, she had two outfits infront of her that she thought were the best, he was taking her out to a park.

She eventually chose the white shirt with blue pants. And a jacket with a hoodie. 'I guess this is the best option for a walk at the park.'

Her phone rang and she picked it up. 'Oi, Haibara are you done yet, I'm coming to pick you up.' he said bored.

'No! Not yet, 10 more mins.' she said and hung up. She did her hair and went downstairs to see Doctor Agasa letting Conan in.

'Alright I'm ready, do I look decent Hakase?' she asks, flattening her shirt. 'Oh yes Ai-kun.' Doctor Agasa answers and she walks towards Conan.

'Well? Let's go kudo-kun.' She says smirking. He admires her then takes her hand and waves to Doctor Agasa. 'Goodbye Hakase.' he says and closes the door.

They walk to the park and sit down on a bench talking about what happened the other day in the basement. 'So..you agree to be together?' he asks her nervously. 'yes you idiot.' she says ruffling his hair. He also ruffles her hair as well and they look at each other laughing.

They get up and buy some ice cream and walk around the park. 'you didn't answer my confession yet.' he said. 'what do you mean I literally kissed you.' she said glaring at him. 'well but you haven't said it back.' he says looking at her.

'..okay..I-I..love you..too.' she says looking away. Conan took this chance and took a bite from her ice cream. She gasped and then looked at his face. 'Cold!!' he said touching his mouth.

She threw her head back and laughed at him. 'That's what you get for eating my ice cream.' she said in a teasing tone. He rolled his eyes and continued walking with her.

*End of flashback*

"Oh yeah, I remember you eating my ice cream then you felt the cold freeze your mouth." Haibara said chuckling. He scoffed at her and smiled. "I guess karma's real." He said chuckling too.

"By the way, why do you still call me by my last name, just call me Shinichi, we've been dating for a long time now." He said looking at her.

"I guess it's just a habit, okay fine, from now on I'll call you Shinichi." She said smirking. "Much better."

"Alright I'm sleepy now, we should probably get some rest." Haibara said laying her head back on his chest again.

"Okay you're right, goodnight Ai, I love you."

"Goodnight Shinichi, I love you too.."

"See it wasnt that hard." He says teasing her. "Oh shut up." She said and closed her eyes to sleep, he did too and they slept in each other's arms.
