A snow day

This takes place months after the previous chapter.

Kudo Mansion, 10:45 am..

Haibara was sipping a hot chocolate in the little garden outside Conan's place, it was snowing a little, the dirt and trees were covered in snow giving a calming snow day, she was wearing a warm coat and a scarf was wrapped around her. She sat at the small decorated swing the Kudo's had in their backyard, just admiring the snow around her and hearing the little chirps of the birds.

Conan was walking towards her, his hands in his pockets. "Hey.." he greets her. "Hey.." she looks at him as he approaches her.

"What are you doing out here?" He asks sitting down next to her. "Just admiring." She says taking another sip. He begins to look around him as well and admires the weather. "Come on let's get ready so we're not late." He says as they both get up and walk back into the house.

They knock on the door of Doctor Agasa's house. He opens up letting them inside. "Hello Shinichi, Ai-kun, how have you both been?"

"Good, what about you Hakase?" Conan says as he and Haibara sit near the fireplace.

"I'm good too, the kids are on their way, I rented a car, are you ready?" Doctor Agasa says as he puts his portable coffee bottle in his bag.

"Yes we're ready Hakase." Haibara answers getting up.

The 3 kids wait at Doctor Agasa's gate as Conan, Haibara and Doctor Agasa leave the house and walk towards the car. "Good morning, Ai-chan and Conan-kun!" Ayumi says as they walk towards the shrunken adults.

"Good morning Ayumi-chan." Conan says as he and the boys start loading their bags into the car. All of them get in the car and Doctor Agasa starts driving.

"I'm so excited to go sledding in the mountains!" Genta says as they all cheer happily. "Me too! I love snowy mountains." Ayumi chimes in, Haibara's staring out the window while Conan was talking to Doctor Agasa.

After an hour of driving, they finally arrive at the lodge they'll be staying at. "We're here!" Mitsuhiko says getting out, Genta also following him. "Oi, Haibara wake up, we reached the lodge." Conan says shaking her awake.

She opens her eyes and let's out a yawn. 'cute' Conan thought as he looked at her smiling. "Staring is rude now get out so I can leave too." Haibara said glaring at him. Gone was his smile and his thoughts about her, he scoffed and got out of the car too, unloading the stuff with the boys.

"Alright there are only 2 rooms in this lodge so you 3 boys in one room and me and Ayumi-chan and Hakase is one." Haibara says standing beside Ayumi who was smiling from excitement. "It's like a sleepover!" She exclaims. Haibara couldn't help but smile at her, over the years those 2 got close and became best friends.

"Alright guys come let's go in." Doctor Agasa says as he opens the door carrying his backpack and the 3 boys carrying all the bags while the 2 girls just walked in admiring the place.

"Wow it's really big!" Genta says dropping the bags on the floor, jumping on the couch in the small living room. It wasn't really a living room it just had a couch and a small fireplace.

There was an open kitchen which had a medium sized fridge and one washroom with a shower in it, while the rooms were upstairs.

"Let's go check out the rooms Ai-chan!" Ayumi says as Haibara nods and follows her. Conan and Mitsuhiko drop the bags on the floor too as they look around the place. "Good thing is that it's warm, it's freezing outside." Mitsuhiko says getting closer to the fireplace.

"I'll go give the girls their bags." Conan says as the 2 boys nod. He walks upstairs and spots two closed doors. 'which room did they go in.' he asks himself and just chose the one on the right. He didn't bother to knock and just went in, he saw Haibara on the floor, while ayumi was next to her crouching.

"Conan-kun, Haibara hurt herself." Ayumi says worried. "What??" He quickly says dropping the bags on the floor and runs over to the both of them, he saw that Haibara's knee was bleeding a little. "What happened?" He asked with worry. "Nothing I just fell, I'll just get up and clean it." Haibara says as she stands up but winces, Conan quickly held her and furrowed his brows. "How did she fall Ayumi-chan?" He asked as Ayumi stood up.

"Well there's this floor board that was higher than the others, where'd it go..oh there it is look!" She answers and points at the floor behind them. 'explains how she fell' Conan thought and looked at Haibara's face, she was hiding the pain she was feeling and overtime, Conan knew sometimes when she was hiding her true emotions.

"Can you walk?" He asks Haibara and Ayumi quickly answers. "Of course she can't, Conan-kun carry her! She needs a medkit quickly." She says worried for her best friend. Conan hesitated since none of the kids knew that Haibara and Conan were dating. He looked at Haibara and she just nodded, still trying to hide her pain.

He then wasted no time and picked her up, carrying her bridal style, Ayumi following behind them as they exited the room and walked downstairs. "Hakase! Haibara hurt her knee can you get out the medkit." Conan yelled as he sat her on the washroom's sink counter.

"What happened Ayumi-chan?" Mitsuhiko asked ayumi as he saw Conan enter the bathroom with Haibara hurt in his arms. Ayumi explained the situation while Doctor Agasa brought the medkit to Conan.

Conan picked up a cotton tissue and a disinfectant. "This is gonna hurt a little." He said before pouring some on the cotton and dabbing it slowly on the wound. Haibara winced and squeezed his shoulder.

After he was done, he put a bandage over it and put the medkit away. He helped Haibara off the sink top and walked her to living room. "I'm not paralyzed you know." She said rolling her eyes. He sighed and sat her on the couch.

"Ai-chan, will you be able to go sledding with us?" Ayumi asked looking down at her feet. "Don't worry, I'll heal in an hour, max, you guys go play and I'll follow you after a bit how about that?" She said smiling at her. Ayumi quickly replaced her sad face with a happy one. "Okay Ai-chan!" She said and skipped away to the boys. "You don't have to if you don't want to, let it rest." Conan told Haibara. "I'm not gonna sit all day in this lodge, we've come all this way from Tokyo, of course I'm gonna join Ayumi-chan later." She said and Conan shrugged and agreed with her.

"I'll stay here with Ai-kun, you guys go ski now and play." Doctor Agasa says. "Okay! Let's go Conan-kun." Ayumi says as they all leave the lodge.

Hakuba Mountains, 1:19 pm..

It's been half an hour and they were still skiing and playing, Conan was going down a hill when he spotted a familiar girl with strawberry-blonde hair. "Haibara! What are you doing here, go rest." Conan says approaching her.

"I was bored and my leg healed pretty well, I won't ski though I'm just walking around." She said hands in her pockets.

"Okay wait, I'll go call the kids." He said skiing to the bunny hill. "Yo guys, Haibara came let's all go spend some time with her." He said approaching them. "Ooh okay!" Ayumi said excited as she slowly skied towards Haibara.

"Ai-chan, how is your leg?" She asks smiling at her. "It's better now." Haibara answers her. "Guys do you wanna have a snowball fight!" Genta says making a snowball in his hands. "Yess let's play!" Ayumi says. Grabbing Haibara's hand. "Me and Ai-chan are a team and you guys are a team, come on Ai-chan let's make a lot of snowballs." She says and drags her before she can say anything, the boys drag Conan as well and start making snowballs.

Genta starts throwing snowballs at the girls and Ayumi throws at him, then Haibara throws some too, Mitsuhiko started throwing at them too and they all were throwing snowballs around.

"Take this!" Genta says throwing at Ayumi, Conan was laughing and not paying attention when Haibara threw one straight at his face, he looked at her and smirked as he grabbed a big snowball and thew it at her but she dodged laughing at him.

They played for a while and all of them laid on the snow. "I'm hungry." Genta complains. "I'm starting to get hungry too let's go eat." Mitsuhiko says as they all get up and walk towards their lodge again.

"Oh welcome back guys." Doctor Agasa greets them. "Hakase we're kind of hungry, can you order us something." Conan says taking off his coat. "I already ordered since I figured you guys would be hungry." Doctor Agasa says. "Great I'll go rest in our room then." Haibara says walking upstairs. "We should all go rest, let's go guys." Conan says as they walk upstairs, and into their rooms.

Conan texts Haibara.."Hey I miss you." He texts.

"Hmm I don't." She texts back.

"Sure, by the way, we won't sleep together tonight.." he texts.

"Yeah, I can't imagine how hard it is for you." She says sarcastically.

"Haha, very funny." He says, and puts his phone down.

After a few mins, Doctor Agasa calls them down for lunch. "Finally I'm starving!" Genta says as he devours his food. "This is really good." Mitsuhiko says. "Glad you like it." Doctor Agasa says as they all eat and engage in conversations.

Hakuba Lodge, 7:35 pm..

After they eating they had played outside a little and now they were back in the lodge.

"I'm so tried." Ayumi says. "Today was so much fun though." "We should all get some rest for tomorrow since we're leaving." Doctor Agasa says. "Alright goodnight guys I'm off." Haibara says and walks upstairs. "Wait for me Ai-chan!" Ayumi says following behind her.

They all went to sleep while Conan tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. After a few mins he decided to grab his phone and text her.

"Are you up?" He texts.

"What do you want." Haibara texts.

"I can't sleep." He texts back.

"Well I can so goodnight."

"Wait don't go, didn't you say that you couldn't sleep without your pillow, I'm the pillow by the way."

"I never said that."

"Okay but you said something similar."

"Nope can't remember."

"I miss your body warmth when we slept together." He texts, Haibara blushed at that.

"You'll get me tomorrow night, calm down drama queen."

"I guess, goodnight, love you."

"Goodnight."

"And?"

"Hm? Oh love you too."

He chuckled and put his phone down, then went to sleep.
