Anniversary

This takes place 2 months after the previous chapter. (The pictures throughout the chapters are not mine, they're all from Pinterest.)

Kudo Mansion, 6:00 am..

Conan and Haibara were asleep in his bed, Haibara had her head nuzzled in his neck and he was hugging her waist. Suddenly a buzzing sound appeared and both of the shrunken adults groaned. It was coming from Haibara's phone.

"Who the hell texts you at this hour?" Conan says opening his eyes a little to try and look at her phone. "I don't know.." she answered leaning away from his neck. "Leave it." He says grabbing her again before she leaves. "Wait let me turn it off first." She says and Conan sighs before letting go, she turns it off and lays back down on top of Conan this time, sleeping on his chest.

It was now 10:24 am, Haibara started to open her eyes, yawning she reached for Conan on her side but felt the mattress instead, she was tucked in too when she got up, so she had assumed he got up before her. She then also got up and went to the washroom to brush her teeth.

She got out and decided to dress well for this was a special day to her, she wore her black skirt with her red top, she wore a cute jacket to top it off, and started walking downstairs.

As she was walking, she started to smell a crispy smell, and the closer she got to the kitchen, the closer it was to becoming a smoky smell. Haibara quickly ran towards the kitchen and entered it looking around to find the detective near the stove calming the fire down.

She walked towards him and took the pan from his hands, turning off the stove and opened the windows. Conan was surprised to see her but also relieved. "Oh uhm hi.. good morning." He said chuckling nervously. "Good morning? You almost burned the house down, good thing I woke up just in time to stop you." She said glaring at him, placing her hands on her hips. Conan sighed and looked down. "I only wanted to make you breakfast this time instead of the other way around, truly." He said a sad tone evident in his voice. Haibara looked at him in sympathy and put her hands down. "Oh its okay, you were doing great, let's see what you made." She said hoping to bring his mood up. He looked up suddenly and strided towards the food on the counter.

"No way, it's poisoned, it's bad, I didn't know how to cook it, you'll get sick if you eat it." He said shaking his head. "Oh come on, it can't be that bad, move so I can see what you've made." She said walking towards him. "No you know what, we'll just order takeout, your favourite." He said quickly. Hiding the food behind him on the counter. "If I count to 3 and you don't move I'll kick you where it hurts." She said crossing her arms. "But-" "1..2.." she cut him off. "Wait wait, fine but I guarantee it's not edible." He said and moved aside in defeat.

She took a look at the Sunny-side-up he made, it was on a plate, it looked a bit overcooked, and some herbs were scattered here and there. She then looked back at the vegetables on the frying pan on the stove and knew what he wanted to cook. "You wanted to make me eggs and vegetables, the meal my sister used to cook for me..right?" She said looking at him. Conan just nodded. "You don't have to eat it.." he then added. Ai then leaned towards his face and kissed him. Conan was surprised and before he could react she pulled away.

"Are you kidding? You made me this, of course I'm gonna eat it." She said grabbing the pan and pouring the burnt vegetables on the plate with food in it. "No don't, it's not edible I'll just throw it away." "Throw it away?? No it's good food, we're not throwing away good food." She quickly told him. "Well? Get me a fork tantei-san." She said putting the pan down. Conan quickly got her a fork from the drawer and hesitantly gives it to her.

"Do you not want to change your mind?" He asked scratching his neck. "No stop trying to change my mind, you tried your best to make this and I'll eat it." She said glaring at him, Conan couldn't believe what she was saying, he felt happy and grateful he had a person like Haibara. She got a piece on her fork and brought it to her mouth. She took a bite and started chewing, she then swallowed and took another bite. Conan watched as he saw her eating half of the plate. "Uhm Ai?" He asked nervously. "Hm? Oh yes, it's good but a little crispy it adds to the flavor though, maybe if you add a sauce like ketchup it would taste better, I'm honestly surprised Kudo-kun." She said smirking.

Conan felt relief wash over him and smiled at her. "Why'd you decide to attempt to make me breakfast today?" She asked continuing to eat the rest of the plate. "Well I thought it was obvious." He said scratching his nape. "Happy anniversary! We've officially been a couple for a year Ai." He said smiling at her, blushing a little. Haibara smiled at him. 'he remembered' she thought and felt a fuzzy feeling in her stomach.

Conan got closer to her and grabbed her waist snapping her out of her thoughts. He kissed her lips and slipped his tongue inside her mouth. He pulled away and started to taste something in his mouth. "You're right, it is a bit burnt." He said and walked past her, leaving her shocked and in a blushing mess. 'did he just eat from my mouth?' she asked herself and placed the fork on the counter, she fixed her face and turned around to find him sipping a glass of water.

"Can you make me some coffee? I didn't have the time to drink yet." He asked acting like nothing had happened earlier. "Oh sure." She said and walked towards the coffee machine.

12:11 pm..

Both of the shrunken adults were now sitting in the living room, Conan watching a football game, and Haibara reading a magazine.

"What do you want to do today?" Conan asked looking at Haibara. She put her magazine down and looked back at him. "Hmm soo you want to take me out on a date?" She teased him and he chuckled. "Maybe..would you say yes?" He asked her leaning closer to her, looking at her eyes deeply. "Depends where." She says looking at him smirking.

"Alright then, it's a surprise, get up, get dressed." He says getting up, catching Haibara off guard. "What? Are you serious?" She says sitting up. "Yea, come on." He says pulling her up and dragging her upstairs to get dressed.

They were now at the front door of his house. "What is our transportation exactly?" Haibara asks putting on her shoes. "Well.. remember when Doctor Agasa said he made my skateboard more advanced." Conan says waiting for her reaction. "No.." she says glaring at him. "Yes." He smirks. "No, not gonna happen, no way." She says shaking her head. "It's gonna be fun c'mon, a change of what we normally do." He says pleading. "No are you crazy? We could get into an accident!" She says putting her hands on her hips. Conan grabs both her hands. "We won't, stop thinking negative thoughts and let's go." He says bringing her hands to his lips kissing them.

"I seriously can't believe you." She says chuckling and giving in. "Yess! Now after you my lady." He says holding the door for her as she steps out.

They walk towards the gate and he places his skateboard on the floor, he gets on top of it and signals Haibara to follow behind him. "Come on, don't be scared now." He teases. She gets on top of the skateboard behind him and holds his waist. "Hold on tight." He says and she nuzzles her face in his neck. "Don't go too fast okay?" She says looking up at him. "I can't promise that." And before she can say anything he speeds off and Haibara holds his waist as tight as she can. "Kudo-kun!" She yells and hides her face in the back of his neck. "This is so much better, how are you doing back there?" He yells over the speed and wind. "Slow downn." She says still not wanting to look up. He just laughs and moves across trees and people as the wind brushes his face, he had a big smile on his face. People were moving aside for him to speed through.

"Ai! Open your eyes you have to see this view." He yells to her. Haibara slowly pulls her head up and looks around her surroundings. They were now on a bridge, there was a view of the lake with the trees, the sunlight reflecting onto the water making the sight seem magical. Haibara smiled a small smile and held on to her boyfriend as the wind brushed through her hair.

Tropical Land, 1:31 pm..

Conan and Haibara had just entered the gates of tropical land. "Really? Out of all the places, you decided to bring me to tropical land?" Haibara says looking at Conan. "What? Don't you like this place?" Conan asks shaking his head. "Well, I mean it's alright." She says, infact she doesn't really care about the place, being with Conan was enough for her.

"Come on, you won't regret it." He says and drags her to their first ride. "Are you afraid of heights?" He asks waiting in line, they were waiting on a roller coaster ride. "No but I'm scared of speed, if it's really fast like how you were speeding on the skateboard earlier." She says nudging his arm. "Well, you can hang onto my arm if it's too much for you." He teases and she lightly pushes him, laughing. "In your dreams, tantei-san." She whispers, and ruffles his hair.

When it was their turn, they sat on the last seat in the roller coaster and got ready for the ride to move. "Don't you scream now." Haibara teases as she yawns. Conan just glared at her and suddenly the ride starts and they rush forward, catching Haibara off guard. "I was still yawning." She says gripping the roller coaster.

Conan laughs and yells loudly as the ride speeds off going in circles and 360's. "I'm gonna be sick." She says and covers her eyes. "Wait! Don't cover your eyes now, the ocean is coming to view!" He yells as Haibara peeked and saw the view, as she was getting comfortable in the scenery, suddenly the ride went down fast and she grabbed Conan's arm, shoving her face in his chest. He laughs at her and holds her cheering.

After they got off, Haibara was doing anything to not bring up what happened during the ride. "Wanna go again?" He asked. "No way are you nuts?" She says in disbelief. "Kidding!" He says and holds her waist. "So, were you scared?" He asks teasing her. "No?" She says looking away. "You sure? So that wasn't you who was clinging to my arm almost the whole ride?" He says sarcastically. "No I don't know." She answers. "Oh yeah, must've been one of those cute girls I saw earlier- ow!" He winces and grabs his chest. "Okay shut up." She says and releases herself from his hold.

Tropical Land, 4:47 pm..

They played more games and walked through many mazes to reach the lunch area. "Finally I'm starving." Conan says sitting down and placing his tray on the table. Haibara sat opposite him, placing her food tray on the table as well. "Mhm." She says putting a french fry in her mouth. They start eating and having little conversations.

"Ahh I'm full.." Conan says finishing his coke, leaning back on his chair. Haibara wipes her mouth with a napkin and gets up. "Where are you going?" He asks sitting up. "To the washroom, I'll be back in 5 mins." Conan quickly got up and grabbed her arm before she went. "No I'm coming with you." He said with a serious face. "Are you crazy? It's a women's restroom." she said trying to read his face. "I'm not making that same mistake again." He said, his glasses reflecting from the sunlight, making it hard for her to see his eyes.

Haibara looks at his serious face. She then remembered the incident months ago when she got bombed in the restrooms in Tropical Land. "Oh you don't have to worry anymore there's no guy you have to capture." She says reassuring him. "Still, I'll wait for you right outside the door." He says as they reach the restrooms. "If anything happens, call me immediately." He says and she nods, walking in.

She quickly washes her hands, fixes her hair and clothes, and comes out to see him waiting for her. "Alright so now what?" He asks holding her waist. His mood immediately changing. "I'm kinda tired, can we go?" Haibara asks looking at him. "Sure but I'm taking you somewhere else then." He says and smirks. "Where??" She says looking ahead. "To dinner." He says. "In a restaurant?" She says sarcastically. "Yeah which one do you want, name it." He asks as they walk out of tropical land's gates. "Hmm I'm not that hungry since we just ate." She says sighing. "It's okay by the time we get there you will since we're going on the skateboard again." He says smiling. "Oh gosh no." She says sighing again. "Oh yes come on give me a restaurant's name." He says and gets on the skateboard.

They went to an underwater restaurant and ordered their food. "I didn't know you liked this kind of atmosphere." Conan says putting his menu down. "I don't know, I find it interesting." She says looking around. He just stares at her in awe. "Thank you for today, I really enjoyed it." Haibara says smiling a genuine smile. Conan who was admiring her, beamed with happiness inside of him when he saw her smile, the way her eyes sparkle and her strawberry-blonde hair shined in the perfect lighting of the restaurant. "Yea, no problem." He said still mesmerized. Then the food came and they started eating and talking about today, laughing when some funny things that had happened in their trip comes up, they were both thinking they're the luckiest couple.

"Here's your bill, thank you for eating at our restaurant!" The waiter says and walks away, Conan gets out his cash and pays. As the two shrunken adults were standing up, they heard some plates falling and glass breaking. They quickly turned to the sound of the scene and got up to check what had happened. "My husband! He's been poisoned.." A woman yells. Conan gets close to the corpse and checks if he's alive, but he wasn't so he shouts for someone to call the police. After the police arrive, Inspector Megure spots Conan. "Ahh Conan-kun, fancy seeing you here." Megure says and sees Haibara behind him by a few meters. "I was out with A-Haibara and we heard glass breaking I came to inspect what had happened, it's food poison, Megure keibu." Conan says and starts his detective mode on. "Oh then this case will be solved in no time." Inspector Megure says and went to talk to his officers to check around the corpse.

"Looks like your corpse-magnet self didn't let us down this time either." Haibara says from behind him. He fake frowns and turns to look at her. "I'll solve this quickly and we can go home, okay?" He assures her. "It's alright, take your time tantei-san." She says teasing him and goes to sit in her original seat. He smiles at her and turns back to the case to solve it.

Beika Street, 8:38 pm..

Conan and Haibara were now walking home, his skateboard in his hand. "Sorry, I didn't think it would take that long for the case to be solved and for the skateboard to stop working halfway." He says apologizing for the millionth time. Haibara sighs. "Okay fine I forgive you, I don't wanna ruin the end of the day for something like this." She says and Conan throws his hands in victory. They reached his house and Conan opened the gates walking in with her. "You know it's not natural for you to not eat dessert after dinner, I was surprised you didn't order half the snack menu." She says sarcastically, teasing him. He scoffs at her. "I wasn't in the mood for dessert at that time, and don't make me dramatic." He says pouting. "Okay whatever drama queen." She says giggling. He sighs and chuckles as he opens the door of his house and let's her in then closes it.

They go up the stairs and into his room. "Also, there's another reason why I didn't wanna have dessert there." He says closing his bedroom door after they've come in. "Then what's the other reason." She says not turning around. He wraps his hands around her waist from behind and kisses her neck. "I wanted to save my appetite for this kind of dessert." He says in between kisses. Haibara blushes a deep colour of red, her heartbeat increasing. Conan then pulls away from her neck and turns her around so he can see her. He stares at her sky blue eyes as she stares at his crimson ones. He slowly moves his head closer to hers and looks down at her lips.

She's melting away from the sight alone as he kisses her passionately catching her by surprise. He slips his tongue inside her mouth and plays around with hers. She feels him smile when she kisses back and he suddenly picks her up carrying her to the bed and getting on top of her without breaking the kiss. They pull apart to catch their breath and lean in again softly this time. He slowly starts to trail kisses from her jaw to her neck. He starts to take off her shirt revealing her black laced bra, he starts kissing her collarbone going lower near her boobs. He sucks the area close to her boobs, Haibara moans and pulls him up to her, she kisses him and starts to take off his shirt as well revealing his toned abs, she pulls him closer to her, kissing him deeply. He grabs both her hands and pins them to her sides, pulling away front the kiss. "I'm in control now." He says seductively and goes back to kissing her neck and sucks it making her moan again.

He kisses her body all the way down to her stomach, he pulls at her pants, and slides them off releasing her hands to help him with it, he resumes kissing her stomach down to her thighs. He slowly gets closer to her inner thighs and begins leaving hickeys all over, making Haibara a moaning mess. He slowly starts to kiss back up to her stomach then her boobs, then her neck, back to her jaw and kisses her one last time on the lips deeply. He pulls away breathing heavily and uses his elbow to not crush her by his weight. She also tried to control her breathing. He would've gotten serious with her right now, but they weren't in their original bodies, they were only 15 year olds for now.

He lays beside her on the bed and removes his pants only in his boxers. "I wish we were in our original bodies." He says staring at the ceiling. Haibara does too and sighs. "I'll try to make something work, but for now we're stuck like this, and honestly I don't mind it." She says turning to look at him. He turns to look at her. "Wait so you mean you're perfectly fine with staying like this?" He asks surprised. "I mean yeah..it's nice to start life all over again, as a new person, Haibara Ai, it's like..life is giving me a second chance..." She says and stares back at the ceiling. He stares at her for a few mins before speaking again. "You're right..maybe it isn't so bad if we stayed like this.." He says caressing her cheek. She looks at him smiling and turns her body fully, him following her too.

"I'm really grateful to have you.." He says smiling at her. "Mhm I know." She teases as his smile vanishes and a pout replaces it. "C'mon you baby I'm kidding." She says chuckling. They sit in silence for a few mins when Haibara yawns. "Let's sleep you're probably tired." Conan says and brings the blanket over them. "Mm oki." She says and gets closer to him resting her head on his chest. He holds her and wraps his arms around her as they both close their eyes.

"Goodnight Kudo-kun." She says.

"I love you." .."I love you too."
