Damon's POV

I sighed hearing everyword Lexi said to Jeremy. I took the bottle out of my jacket and took a long sip. "Damon..." I turned to see Elena with Stefan. "I just want to let you know that we are here for you and--"

"I'm going to stop you right there." I handed her my bottle of terrible whiskey. "And I'm going to find much better alcohol." I faked a huge grin at them and walked out of the stupid prom into the hallway. I was looking for locker 42. Where was Alaric? When I need my drinking buddy he isn't here...

I opened up the loker and pulled out the bottle of bourbon. I took off the cap and took a long sip of the drink. *THUD* I turned my head to the boiler room. I raised an eyebrow "Alaric?" I questioned. *THUD* I started walking towards the boiler room. I put my hand onto the knob and pulled it open. I walked in looking at the empty room. I was thrown to the wall, bourbon crashed into the wall shattering.

"Now isn't this a pleasant surprise?" Kol smirked over at me. I blurred to the door but he blurred infront of me grabbing my neck and threw against the wall. "Why leaving? I'm having fun." He smirks. He picked up glass pieces from the bourbon bottle... should've left that outside.

"Why are you in here Kol?" I growled and got up.

"Bonnie put me in here, did you know she's dead? a ghost to say. " Kol fittled with the pieces then looked at me. "I heard everything too, Lexi picking Jeremy, you dying inside." He smirked.

"Shouldn't you be mad at Jeremy, not me. How about I got get him?" I began to walk to the door but he put his hand against the wall blocking me. He looks at the ground then smirks at me a suddenly piece of glass into my stomach. "Urg..." I held onto my stomahe.

"I am. I even told her, if she had a date to the prom I'd kill. She knew, she daned with you yet she picked Jeremy." He sighs. "Since we are both in here, might as well get you off the list so I can kill Jeremy." He smirks. He grabbed my neck lifting me off the ground. I grabbed his hand twisting it. I blurred over to the otherside grabbing the pieces of glass and blurring to kol into his chest. 

"Urg.. you're going to regret that Damon Salvatore." he growled and grabbed my neck, stabbing a piece of glass into my neck then lifting me off the ground against the wall. He jammed his free hand into my chest breaking my rib cage and it hurts. His hand was around my heart. I felt everything flash before me.

I sat on her bed waiting for her. I heard her footsteps come into her room and she froze as her eyes landed on me. She pulled a small smile. "Damon.. what are you doing--" She began to ask.

I stood up and walked closer to her. "How was your day with.. Kol?" I tried to smile but only came out a smirk.

"It was nice having my dad back ... he helped me pick out my prom dress." She smiled to herself as she put the bags on her bed. "I just wish the veil doesn't have to go up tomorrow night.." She slightly frowns at me but replaced it with a smile. "So what are you doing here?"

"I um.. So you know how we were on that island looking for the cure?" I asked but didn't wait for her to answer "Well, I have a present for you." I took out of my pocket.

"Please tell me that's not a ring or the--" She began to say but stopped when I opened it. "The cure... it's the cure?" She slightly smiled.

"Yep, it could be cherry flavored." I chuckled. She let out a smile as I handed it to her.

"How?" She ask.

"That's a secret." I smirked. She looks at the cure then closes it handing it to me. I look at her confused.

"I can't accept this. You found it... you deserve it." She says. I shook my head and gave it back to her but she put her hands around mines that held the box.

"This is my gift to you." I said.

"Thank you but I want you to have it." She looks at me with her eyes "I know that you're giving me this because you want me to be happy. But I'm happy being a vampire and a bit of a wolf." I let out a smile as she smiled at me. "I want you to know that... everything I feel to you isn't going to change with the cure. I want you to know that everything you do for me... I love you for that including the cure... so take the cure. It's what I want you to do so we both are happy." She said.

I smiled at her, rejected of the cure but her words were soft and kind like her. I leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Then I'm happy."

"Use it. Maybe you might end up living with a happy family." She smiled as she turned to her shopping baggs. I laughed at her words. "Maybe.."

"URG...." I chocked as Kol pushed his hand around my neck with more strength.

"I don't like the fact that Lexi ever met you. So now it's time to erase you out of your life. See you in the other side in a couple of seconds." Kol smirked at me. I struggeled and grabbed out of my pocket the cure. With my free hand I grabbed kol's jaw and shoved the cure down his throat. I clammed my hands around his mouth so he wouldn't spit it out. He let go of me and struggled to push my hands away but gave up as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. He dropped to the ground. I fell against the wall and sighed in relief.

"Let's see how tough you are when you wake up as a human." I smirked and groaned at the pain. I reached into my neck taking out the pieces of glass. "ow ow ow... urg..." I threw the piece of glass at kol.
