Chapter 5

FLASHBACK

"Why are you here?"

Tendou's father asked when he saw him entered the door.

"Why can't I? it's my house too."

He said without looking at his father and walking straight towards his room.

"How dare you speak to your father like that? Remember that you left."

He paused and looked at Tendou's direction.

"Wait, Did your guy dumped you already that's why you decided to come back?"

He still heard what his father said but chose to ignore it. It's always like this, every time he went home, every time his father is home. Since he decided to come out years ago, they never really see eye to eye with each other again. Well, they always get into arguments even when he still haven't come out and it just got worse when he said that he is gay.

Coming out to his father was the hardest thing that he ever did. He knew that it would not end up well but he still took the risk. He's still thankful that when he came out to Shirabu, Goshiki and Semi they accepted him. They were shocked but they still accepted him maybe that is why he tried coming out to his father even though he still know that it will fail.

He sighed and got up from his bed. He doesn't really know where to go, he doesn't want to stay in his house and always have arguments with his father, and he also doesn't want to bother Goshiki or Shirabu or Semi. He sighed once again and started packing his things even though he doesn't know where to go.

Guess I need to stay here for a few days or months...

He frowned; all he need is to avoid his dad. His dad works in a law firm and usually came home late, so he can freely move during the day and when night comes he'll just stay inside his room. While he's here he will find a temporary job so that he can save up money, doesn't mean he don't have one, in fact he got his own savings from the photography contests that he won but it's still not enough to sustain him if ever he will leave the house for good.

What would have happened if I never confessed to Ushijima about my feelings.... maybe I'm still at his house, freelancing, eating delicious cakes and seeing him every day.....

But If I didn't do that ? I would also end up suffering everyday....

It's really difficult falling in love.

He sighed.

Why did I ever fell in love with him. I mean, there are lots of men on our team , on our school, why does it have to be Ushijima.

He turned around and buried his face on his pillow when he remembered the thing that happened inside Ushijima's bathroom.

fuck.

FUCK I HATE THIS SO MUCH. I hate this, I hate that I miss his stupid expressionless face so much.

He shouted but his shout was muffled by the pillow.When he already calmed down, he took a deep breath and sat up.

I need to pull myself back together.

He took his phone and scrolled through his gallery, there are different pictures from sceneries such as gardens, clouds, the sea, there are also pictures of the cakes from Ushijima's cafe and that one chocolate cake from the other cafe and of course random pictures of Ushijima himself. He smiled at the random shots that he took.

I should just delete these.

His phone gallery that was once filled with Ushijima's pictures starting from their high school to university until now will be deleted. He started counting.

And then he pressed the delete button. As he watched the photos being deleted he started panicking and quickly pressed the cancel button. He managed to save 50 remaining image of Ushijima and other random captured images.

I can't delete it.

He sighed. He scrolled through his messages and there are messages from his friends asking him if he's okay because he hasn't replied to all of their messages and also a message from Ushijima. But instead of reading the messages he decided to delete it all. He lay down on his bed and closed his eyes.

Everything will definitely go back to normal. Time will do its work for both of us.

During his three month stay in their own house he managed to save money from having a job as a freelance photographer. Being a freelancer isn't too bad since he's pretty confident when it comes to his photography skills. The only problem is his father, he's the reason why Tendou is itching to leave the house because he won't stop nagging at him about his life, he keep on telling him that maybe he should try dating a woman and that will change his idea about being gay. He hated it. He hated that thought.

But during his stay, he wanted to fix his relationship with his dad, he tried to fixed it but his dad proved that it's hard for him to fix not until he change but he won't change, he can't change because that's who he is.

Now he's leaving their house, he left a letter for his father so at least he will know that he already left.

Just like what I did to Wakatoshi huh... I wonder how he is right now.

He thought, he knew that Ushijima left Japan and went to his father's place because of Goshiki. They wanted to tell Ushijima where he is but he begged them not to.

"You're really leaving?" Goshiki asked.

"Yes, it will help me move on faster."

"Why don't you try talking to Ushijima-san?He keep on asking about you you know. "

Tendou sighed; they always have this kind of conversation.

"I already told you many times Goshiki. I don't want to talk to him."

"Why?"

"You already know why Goshiki."

"You're just being hard on yourself Tendou-san."

"I'm not." He sighed. "I don't want to bother Wakatoshi anymore."

He heard Goshiki sigh.

"Okay fine."

"I'll go inside now."

"Bye Tendou-san have a safe flight and I hope it will help you move on faster."

Goshiki helped him with his luggage and waved his hand towards Tendou when he went inside the airport.

PASSENGERS FOR FLIGHT J55063 BOUND TO CEBU PLEASE GO TO GATE 97.

Well, this is my flight.

Tendou prepared his boarding pass and his passport in advance and took a last look at the entrance door.

Who am I joking, he won't just suddenly appear and stop me from my flight, and this is not some shojou manga.

He chuckled at his own thoughts.When he got in and settled on his seat he thought about what Goshiki said. About him being hard on himself.About Ushijima asking for him. And it gave him a little bit of hope, that maybe, maybe Ushijima also liked him but that hope immediately disappeared when he thought about the different what ifs.

He sighed.

I'm going to a vacation. I will not think of him.

His flight going to Cebu took him 5 hours and 30 minutes. When they already arrived at Mactan International Airport he started taking pictures especially when he got inside the airport, he documented literally everything the moment he took foot on the City.

He stayed in an inn where he made a reservation for the night, he really wanted to roam around Lapu, Lapu, City but he got really tired with his flight so he decided to sleep.

The next day he woke up early and left the inn that he was staying, he rode a jeep going to SM supermall when he got there he roamed around, taking pictures of the surrounding, the busy streets, the people around and also taking selfies. He managed to find a place to stay where it's easy to access the city because it's only 800 meters away from the City center.

When he finally settled down to his room he immediately started his itinerary. He only brought his mini bag with his phone - important for directions , wallet and camera with him.

His first stop is the Fort San Pedro. It is an old military defense built by the Spaniards. He was amazed by the old canyon and he was also entertained by the musician who's playing contemporary music. There were also different historical images inside. He spent almos two hours roaming inside, reading the history and taking pictures.

He then went to Magellan's cross, the cross holds a big role in the history of Christianity in the Philippines  it was housed inside an octagonal pavilion also called as kiosk.

Tendou took images of the historical cross and also its ceiling because it is filled of painting about its past. After that he dropped by at the Sto. Niño Church and other different heritage houses and museums.He was amazed by the history that he learned and the images that he took, sometimes he would ask someone to take a his picture instead of a selfie to look more formal.

This would be fun if I had someone with me.

He literally spent his entire 1st official day walking around Cebu City. After visiting the historical sites, his last stop for the day is the Plaza Independencia, and since it's already 5:30 there are already lots of lights that you can see. He took a sit on the bench and got a view of the fountain, he grabbed his camera and snapped a photo of it. He also saw lights that was formed into swans who made a heart and of course as he looked around he can see couples talking at each other, laughing, holding each others hands and he sat there suddenly feeling lonely.

I want to see him. I want to sit here with him. I miss him.

It's already 6 when he went back to his hotel, it was tiring but he definitely had fun roaming around the city. He took a rest before freshening up and then went out again to eat his dinner.

He also tried checking out some bars and had a little drink and went back to his hotel.

When he already changed to his sleeping clothes - he's only wearing boxer shorts - he sent Goshiki a message and image that he took earlier. He also uploaded some to his new IG account.

After uploading he put down his phone and turned off the lights.

I need to sleep because tomorrow will be another busy day.
