MOM! SO NOT the time!

Mellie's POV

"What do you want with me?" I say, pacing back and forth in the cell I share with my mother. The cell is made of a high voltage forcefield, or so this crazy man named Douglas that kidnapped my mother and me said.

"Oh, I don't really want you two. I want your little boyfriend and his brother and sister." He chuckles.

"What? Melanie Julia, you have a boyfriend?"

"MOM! SO NOT the time!"

"It's that Davenport boy! And not the dumb one, the other one! Oh, missy, if we ever get out of here, you are SO not seeing that boy again!" She says, crossing her arms. Douglas laughs.

"Don't worry, Ms. Hancock, if you two get out of here, it will be because her boyfriend decided to stay with me to protect her. Aww, so romantic!"

"Why do you want Chase?" I ask, even though I'm pretty sure I know the answer. It's got to have something to do with his bionics. Douglas laughs.

"Ohh, I know that you know, Melanie." He says.

"Melanie, what are you talking about?" Mom says, standing next to me.

"Well, I-" I start to say. But I can't. "Sorry, Mom, I can't tell you. I promised Chase, Adam and Bree."

"Well I didn't!" Douglas says, then laughs. "You thought you could trust your precious Chase, did you?"

"What are you talking about? I trust Chase more than anybody."

"He must have failed to mention, then, that I am his real father. Bree and Adam's too. Donald is my brother, and he stole them from me just because I wanted to use them as evil villains." This creep is Chase's father?

"How could you use children as villains? It's not as if they can actually do anything." Mom says. Douglas laughs.

"You are wrong, Ms. Hancock. Those three teenagers, including your daughter's boyfriend, have bionic chips in them." He says. Mom turns to me.

"What? Did you know that, Melanie?" I slowly nod.

"I promised not to tell anyone, Mom. Or the government would take them away." Mom looks really angry.

"If you never would have even been around those kids, this wouldn't be happening right now!" She yells. She turns to Douglas. "And just what kind of so called 'bionics' are you talking about?"

"Glad you asked. Super speed; that's Bree. Super strength; Adam. And Chase, your daughter's boyfriend-"

"She doesn't have a boyfriend!"

"He's super smart. And, I think she does have a boyfriend." Douglas moves over, to show us the large screen he was standing in front of. "Here he comes now!" Adam, Bree and Chase are on the screen. You can't hear anything, but Chase is explaining something to his brother and sister. Adam uses his vision to burn a hole in the side of Douglas's building, and they're in. Bree holds on to her brothers, then runs in. There's a flash of light and a rush of air, then the Wonder Triplets (with different ages) are standing right in front of us. Chase starts running to me.

"Chase! No, it's a force-" He slams into it. "Force field! Chase, are you okay?" He moans, then stands up.

"Mel, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. But you have to stop him! I don't know what he's doing!" I say.

"You didn't ask him? Douglas, Mellie wants to know what you're doing." Adam says.

"Adam. Shut up!" Bree says.

"Don't worry, Ms. Hancock, we'll get you and Mel out of here in no time." Chase says. He turns to his siblings and whispers.

"Okay, you two distract Douglas, and I'll use my magnetism app to stop the magnet that is controlling the field. Got it?" They nod. Bree and Adam head off towards Douglas. Chase puts his fingers over his temple and focuses on the force field. Well, on me in the force field.

"Um, Chase?"

"Shhh, concentrating."

"No, Chase, there's something covering the magnet. Look up. See that thin dark blue plastic panel?" He looks up.

"Oh. I'll have to use my molecularkinesis to move it and then use the magnetism." He focuses again. He moves the panel, holding it in the air, then does the magnetism stuff. Suddenly the force field disappears.

"CHASE! You did it!" He catches my eye for a second, then collapses to the ground. "CHASE!" I run to his side. He's sprawled out on the ground with his eyes closed.
