Chapter 1: The train from Kyoto to Tokyo

15 minutes till the train from Kyoto leaves to Tokyo.

All of the students of class E were seated on the train ready to go. The massively very specific guide about Kyoto, Korosensi made for them, said to go into the train 20 minutes before its departure to get either a good seat on the train and also get settled in and put personal baggage into spaces.

"Oh will they hurry up already"Terasaka a loud, annoying ( brown with dyed blonde sides of hair) boy yelled. Although they only got onto the train 5 minutes ago --

"Well this is exactly like when we were on the way to Kyoto, i bet he won't last another minute without screaming to the top of his lungs" Nagisa whispered to the green haired, squeaky voiced girl Kayano, who was sitting next to the blue headed assassin trainee.

"C'mon guys don't be so rude, i bet he's a patient guy normally" Kanzaki Yukiko, the most polite and pretty girl of class 3e;who decided to join Nagoya's group, said calmly.

blink blink; a moment where the conversation was silent for two seconds before Nagisa and Kayano laughed hard, so hard and loud they were holding their stomachs.

And when they finally stopped laughing so hard they only did little sniggers. Nagisa and Kayano tried to look at her seriously but then burst into sniggers again. They just couldn't stop laughing: because of the sheer possibility of thinking that Terasaka as quiet and patient.

"What the hell you idiots laughing about ehhh EHHH!!?" Terasaka yelled to Nagisa's group and then the two were now wiping tears from their faces and rolling side to side and Kayano stopped to tell Yukio "now what do you think".

Yukiko let out a disapproving sigh "how immature, tut tut" while shaking her head. "Who are?" Nagisa asked "him or us" "ALL OF YOU ARE IMMATURE!!" she replied loudly before another sigh.

4 minutes till the train from Kyoto leaves to Tokyo.

'Everyone here? Let me just call out all of your names and make sure" Korosensi was on the aisle calling out class 3 e in order until it reached Okuda a twin braided with glasses, girl who loves science but is on the weak side for assassination and is the most shy in 3e, didn't reply. The class thought she was with Nagisa.

They were turning their heads sideways to which the conclusion is that she was not on the train. "Wheres Okuda?" many voices shouting until ____ saw a slim short girl shouting outside the metal tube "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME WAIT I NEED TO GET ON,IM A STUDENT!" She slipped through the now shut sliding doors of the train and panting from running so fast she looked like she would faint

"Now where were you Okuda, you barely made it through the train doors? " korosensi in a concerned but calm voice his tentacles waving though. "Please always refer to the advice (the handbook) i give you, they save you from situations like this."

Kyoto Train to leave for Tokyo station descending soon please put your seat belts on and enjoy the ride.

'sou-huh--ven--ir--huh shop --huh-book--science--huh--Gomen'nasai" she faintly murmur while panting.

"You bought me something Okuda? How sweet. Finally someone has come to their senses and stopped attempts of assassinating me for a change!" Korosensi's tentacles now wrapped around okuda's fragile now sweaty body.

"kor-osensi--' her arms trying to push korosensi's embrace and breath before she passes out. one of Korosensi's tentacles opened a bag Kyoto train souvenir shop and with a green and yellow striped pattern emerging on his face found a ... a ... Science discoveries and the philosophy of Kyoto through the ages

All of 3E staring at her while she was stumbling to find a seat in the aisle holding the top of the seats. She stumbled all the way to the back of the aisle where there was one seat left for the panting girl.

Korosensi was silent and was frozen with ........? no one could read his expression and saw him still frozen holding theScience discoveries and the philosophy of Kyoto and the philosophy through the ages.

Terasaka and his group had the korosensi sensitive knives in their hands and was standing up in the now moving tube. "Thanks Okuda, now we got a chance" and he clicked his fingers. Terasaka's group were trying to stab korosensi, but he senselessly dodged all of their attacks. "n-no-no-no souvenir for m m me , you still wanting to kill me?" Korosensi mumbled in his seat,still being aimlessly attacked.

The train from Kyoto station is to depart to Tokyo station. Please put on your seat belts and enjoy the ride.

The doors were now shut and all of the students and teachers of Kunugigaoka Junior High School were on board of the train, sad and bored that they have to leave the trip behind and study more, since they were the highest ranking school in Tokyo and no one wants to be dropped below in class 3e!

Karma Akabane was a red headed, slim, handsome boy. He is the most attractive boy in the class, not to mention the whole of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, but it was his psychotic, blood thirsty, killing but also too laid back personality that made no girl interested in the trickster of the class 3e. Although the other girls might not fancy Karma for his personality, Okuda certainly liked him, maybe it was his charm or that he was the first to even come close to killing korosensi, she couldn't explain why she liked him so much, or why her heart pounded and her face would red up when she was near him, anyway they were COMPLETELY OPPOSITE! So it will never work out.

Okuda sat down in the middle seat. The one that everyone dread to be on, but she never whined about anything, but (maybe because she was too shy to say anything) was still trying to catch her breath. Karma was in the window seat and was looking outside to the now tunnel abyss of darkness but couldn't help but look over at her and see if she was distressed or not. "You ok there Manami?" he asked orange eyes staring at her, head slanted to his left and his hand on her back (like a creep). Her cheeks went red, redder than his hair because he was staring at her and also that he was so close to her and she had never had this much contact with him, even yet any boy, not even her father.

After she finally catched her breath and her face was now to only a little blushed because his hand was on her leg now (still creepy), but she didn't think any of his remarks were creepy or psychotic since:

1. she didn't focus on that 2.was too dazzled by him and the 'perfection' in front of her eyes 3. in class 3 e he wasn't the most 'weird' thing to happen and finally 4. she kinda liked his personality and the enthusiasm of it and that he wasn't really in it for the reward of 10 billion yen. She was the only one to like Karma in the way of him instead of just his looks. I mean she isn't normal, no one in class 3 e is normal, they were assassins and to target their teacher of all people. they're pretty far from normal.

2 and a half hours on the train on and about another 2 and a half hours to Tokyo

Karma and Okuda were looking outside at the beautiful scenery of the land and the country side did Karma break the silence between them

"It's so silent in the countryside right?" Karma asked "um y-yes it is and the scenery is to die for." Okuda replied "Really, you know we could runaway, buy a place in the countryside with a beautiful view and live together!" karma said curiously, Okuda didn't know how to respond she was so shocked and was now blushing. "well and then i would obviously kill you to fill the silence with your screams as you die." Karma was now laughing.

"What?" Okuda was very confused "well you said it was to die for and if we buy somewhere with scenery like this then you will die right, because i would have granted your wish of beautiful scenery?" Karma had now turned his head sideways and had the psychotic look in his eyes again staring straight at her. "haha i'm only joking Manami." She was dieing inside and was disappointed 'no, theres no way he would ever do that since like me like that , then why did he say that?'.

Silence fell between the two and she dared to speak another word about it. She felt like she was about to cry, but why? She could feel the tears well up inside to her eyes and tried to keep it in, but couldn't any longer. " I have to go to the bathroom, I'm sorry." She rushed up the aisle to the bathroom which was all the way across the other side so wasn't very convenient.

I don't know why I'm crying, I never felt this way before and what Karma said before that. It was a sick joke and I know that is Karma and I can't change that about him, but why do I feel so angry and upset about this.

The thought of running away and living with him is impossible! H h- he doesn't like me like that! And never will. If only I were stronger and prettier like him maybe I would have a chance.

Get it out of your thick brain Manami. Not a weakling like you, not a weakling like you. He's strong and clever and beautiful, way out of my league. I should just happy that he is my friend and nothing more.

Its better this way anyway, I'm close to him and he's dear to me so i wouldn't want any more to happen like him being my boyfriend. Stop crying, will you and go try face him at least. Its been 10 minutes and what if he asks me whats wrong, what will I say?

She wiped her face with water from the sink before flushing the toilet to look like she had actually did something but cry for 10 minutes and walked out face down at the aisle back to seat which lay next to Karma;the boy she loves with a grin across his face looking at the scenery.

She decided not to look at him for the rest of the trip back home or she burst into tears again in front of him this time. With 2 more hours ahead of them before they get back to Tokyo, she didn't do anything but sit there stationary in her seat staring at her boring brown laced shoes.

30 minutes to Tokyo Station

"Hey, Manami look outside, we're in the city again" Karma decided to talk as he was bored of looking out of the window and well had nothing better to do. No reply. "look, if you're annoyed at the joke I made hours ago, I'm sorry." No reply again.

He then looked over to find a peacefully sleeping Manami leaning head on his left shoulder. His eyes opened with amazement, how beautifully and quietly she slept. He couldn't keep his eyes off her before Maehara the brown haired boy said

"Dude, I still don't think you're a compatible couple, don't make it happen for all our sakes. You are not good with anyone"

"no, I think they are perfect for each other"

"you are joking right"

"I mean she would be the only one that liked Karma for him."

"You gotta be kidding me, Karma's gonna get a chick before I do, that sucks! "

"ha. deserved"

" You're too immature to date anyway."

"Who agrees that Okajima is going to get a girlfriend never, hands up" "aye" "yes" "you can always wish upon a star I guess" "Girlfriend? In a million years, ha!"

"Hang on a minute , I've actually had many girlfriends before and they all said that I was the best they ever had!"

"Bro, you got some serious issues"

"Wait when did it come from Karma and Okuda to me and my love life?"

" Well theres a difference, in that you don't have a love life!"

"and a life" "haha good one" "Oi!"

From all the noise the class was making Okuda woke up to hear laughter and a "I doubt that its big" " I'm telling you its big and very long " "oh yeah i don't believe you" "well it is and i can prove it, come over and see" "eww no I don't wanna see." "come on children, i know we are all curious how big this actually is, so why don't we find out later"

Okuda was very confused at what the whole class was talking about and looked to Karma, completely forgetting what happened hours ago "Whats going on?" " Oh they are discussing how Isogai's sister has a 'really long and big' nose and that it's so disturbingly big she thinks she needs surgery." Karma replied.

We are about to arrive at Tokyo Station, Please can everyone take all their belongings with them and I hope you enjoyed your ride, Arigato.

By now all of the class 3e and teachers were standing above their seats getting all their bags and making a final trip to the toilet before they arrive. All just wanting to go home and rest after 4 hours on a train. When the doors opened and everyone jumped down to the concrete floor and smelled the fresh air again, they were pleased to find out that they don't have to go school today and can leave now.

Everyone was off the train and ready to go back to their houses, but Okuda hated her house.

Her parents are never around but she couldn't blame them, they had to work , for her which made her feel more guilty than anything. She felt so lonely alone by herself and afraid. So she stood there in train station looking down at her brown boring shoes with no idea what to do, where to go. School was always her distraction but there wasn't that today and it's a Saturday tomorrow. She thought of going to an internet cafe and play some games.

'Yeah' she thought it was a pretty good idea and distraction from Karma. So there she went on a Friday afternoon to Anteiku Internet Cafe to play Sword Art Online to take her mind off Karma.

Little did she know that she was going to have Awkward Encounters later on.
