Burned (a Roy x Ed fanciftion)

CHAPTER 4

"She's coming here?! At any time?! W-what am I supposed to do?!" Winry shouted at Al just inches from him. "W-Winry please! Why are you so stressed about lieutenant Hawkeye coming over?" Al questioned nervously. "Because Alphonese! She's coming HERE, to our house! And...she's looking for Edward, again." She said annoyed. Al responded as calmly as possible, "look Winry, it's okay. Edward is late and now she thinks Big brother and the colonel are 'missing'. She obviously knows what she's doing, just wait until she gets here."

There was then a brisk knock on the door, undoubtedly Riza. Al somewhat cautiously crossed the room ignoring Winry and opened the door, there on the front step stood Riza Hawkeye.

"Alphonse." She said as she nodded at him with respect. She was always so professional, even off work. "lieutenant! Please come in!" Al said cheerfully as usual. He backed away from the door allowing her entrance into the house. "Thank you." She said as she entered the room. She spotted Winry and smiled at her, it had been a long time since she had seen her and was supposed at how much older she looked. "Hello Winry, it's been a while. Your looking very nice." Riza said cheerfully. "Hm? Oh thank you! It's been to long!" Winry said quickly. Al decided it would be best if he got the two back on the right track before they started rambling and gossiping... If Hawkeye even knew how to gossip. "So, lieutenant? What exactly is the matter?" He questioned.

All but Winry sat down on the couch near the window as she began to explain, "well, I was made aware of the colonels plans to pick up the fullmetal alchemist after his...mishap. However I have reason to believe that the humunclus Envy spotted earlier today is in search of The fullmetal alchemist. And I think, the humonculus is colonel Mustang." She said as calmly as possible. "W-what?!" Al said shocked. He Cosby quite grasp what had just happened, his brother was kidnapped by Envy disguised as Colonel mustang?! Winry pulled up a chair and sat down. "B-but, it's Edward. He'll be okay right?" She said stupidly. Al was the one to reply, "I don't know Winry, I mean we have fought Envy before and it hasn't been easy. Now he's alone." Riza quickly added to Al's point, " keep in mind Edward may not even know that The colonel isn't really the colonel." Damn, this wasn't good.

The room was quiet for a long while. What could they do? They didn't even know where he was! "Any idea where to start looking?" Al questioned looking at Riza who looked a bit nervous. " I do have one place. But I'm afraid only you can come Al. I don't want anymore people to be dragged into this, especially someone like YOU." She said staring at Winry. No way was Winry going for this, Al figured they'd have to drug her before they could get out of the house. "What?! No way! I'm not going to just wait around while Edward is in danger!" She protested. "Winry please, what if he shows up at the house? We need you HERE." Al said hopefully.

She sighed as Riza and Alphonse left the house. "Dinner alone tonight huh? Again." She said to herself.

Hawkeyes car sped off down the street, probably breaking more then one law while doing so. She was focused on the road which was probably a good thing, so despite all the questions Al had for her he devoted to keep them to himself for now. He looked around, where was she going? The place ed said he was going to be picked up at was in the exact opposite direction, where had Envy taken Edward? The car suddenly came to a halt. Alphonse looked outside the window, there was nothing but a bunch of dark ally ways and old buildings. They were pulled up right in front of a big, rotting, abandoned factory.

"He's h-here?" Al questioned. It sorta made sense right? Filthy humunclus like Envy might actually stay somewhere like here. "Yeah. C'mon let's get inside." She said avoiding looking at Al. "right..." He mumbled somewhat nervously. They then exited the car and walked up to the big, dark factory.

Authors note: well then, that was an interesting chapter. Next we get to go back with Ed and Roy!!!
