Chap. 6: Rafael

~Dream~ There was only me and my twin brother, Rafael. We didn't have a mother and father or even know about them. But we do remember old people taking care of us, until they died and left us yheir home. We lived in East Blue together, somewhere in some island. Then one day, the worst day of my life happened, which I will never forget even if I wanted to. One night, a lot of pirates came rampaging and robbing the village we live in. We managed to escape into the forest, but somehow we got followed. "Run Ruffa! Run!" Rafael told me, while we were running for our lives. And I ran as fast as I could. But when we got out into the open, more pirates came. They were coming to our direction, so we went back into the woods. But then we remembered that somebody followed us. We both decided to climb up a tree to hide until it's over. We found this huge tree and managed to climb it. But when we were almost at the top, I accidentally slipped my foot and a branch snapped and the pirates heard it. They all shouted at our direction and that they heard something and get rid of it. "Ruffa, listen. If we both stick together, the two of us will be caught easily. So, do your brother a favor okay? You stay in this tree and hide, while I lure the bad pirates away from here. Don't worry, I'll hide after. Okay." he smiled at me. But I know he was just forcing himself to keep me calm. "No, Rafael. Don't leave me. D-Don't go." I cried. "No Ruffa. Listen to me, stay here and hide." "But-" "No buts sis. Just, listen." "No, Rafael. Please." "I'll be fine Ruffa. Trust me, I won't die. I promise." he caressed my cheeks and held my hand, before going down the tree and leaving me here scared. It was chaotic and noisy. I cried the whole time, until my eyelids grew heavy and darkness swallowed me.

-An hour later ~ I was awoken by the island's silence and the sun's bright light. I wonder what happened. I realised I was in a tree and climb down. I went back into the village and saw a huge sight of horror. There were no pirates to be found, but only the sight of murdered bodies and corpses of the villagers. I couldn't move and started to cry. When I gained my strength back, I went back into the forest to look for Rafael. I think I remembered the direction he went to. So I went there as well. But what I found there, made me regret for letting Rafael go, to protect me. There in the middle of the forest was my twin brother's dead body. There were gunshots wounds on his legs and big wounds all over his body. I cried even more and dropped on my knees, touching the bloody grass. I couldn't stop crying at the sight of my brother. But I still went closer to him. I realised, he was smiling. "Why? Rafael." I couldn't stop crying. I love my brother. Why did he deserve this. He never did anything wrong to desrve this. My teary eyes wandered to his hands. It was like he was holding something. I took his hands and opened it, to see the necklace that he always wore. It was a black necklace with a sword pendant. A sword, because Rafael always wanted to be a swordsman. While I wanted was archery. I took the necklace and suddenly smiled to myself. Thinking that I could accomplish my brothers dream and my dream. To be a Swordswoman and do Archery. I wiped my tears away and ran away from my dead brothers body. I wasn't looking where I was going and bumped into something, more like someone. I looked up to see a man with a white coat, written there was JUSTICE. The man turned around and saw me. I started to move back away from him. "Hello little girl. Why are you in such a place. You shouldn't be here." the man said. I started to cry again on the thought that he might kill me. "Oh, don't cry. I'm a good guy. My name is Admiral Sengoku. And you are?" the man said and asked. " M-My name is R-Ruffa Akane.. " I replied. "Well, Ruffa. Are you alone?" Admiral Sengoku asked. I nodded and said. "M-My brother died this day. And I found his body in the middle of the forest earlier. Now I'm, I'm all alone now." I cried again. "Ah, eh. Don't cry. Ok how about this, I'll let you come with me. Then you won't be alone. Deal?" Admiral Sengoku offered. I only nodded. "Don't worry. I'll take care of you from now on. Ok kid?"

"Hey, what's your name." Zoro asked. "Eh? Oh, Ruffa. Just call me Ruffa." "Roronoa Zoro."~ End of the dream ~ I opened my eyes and woke up from a dream. No, it wasn't a dream. It was a memory of how I got into this situation. And it somehow reminded me to be focused on my mission. And never forget how cruel pirates are, and how pirates murdered my brother. But, why did Zoro popped out in my dream. Did it mean anything? I tried to stand up, but "Ow." My damn head hurts. I used my left hand to help myself up. And I tried to touch my head with my right hand but, I can't move my hand. I looked at my right hand, and they were holding, Zoro's hands. His head rested on the side of the bed, sleeping . It's a good thing no one is around because I think I'm blushing like mad, and red as a tomato right now. Nami and Robin are not here, so they got up early. I think it's already noon but, I don't quiet remember what happened last night. I think I'll just wait for him to wake up. I don't want to disturb this sleeping innocent face. I raised my free hand and brushed his hair with it. If only you weren't a pirate, I could get to know you more, Zoro. And maybe we could get along with each other. But, things don't turn out how we want them to. And why did I dream about you. What do I feel about you. What are you to me.
