Chapter 20

"Well, now I'm going to explain what you're going to do." Anko said and began explaining.

"First, I'll give you step-by-step instruction on the terrain of this training field. Training Field Number 44 is surrounded by 44 locked entrance gates, each team will be given one to go through in the start of the exam. There are rivers, forest and a tower in the middle. It's about 10 kilometers from the tower to the gate. In this confined area, you will go through a certain survival program. The contents of which are.........anything goes scroll battle!"

"Scroll?"

"Yes, I want you to fight for 2 scrolls, the Heaven and Earth scroll. All together 27 teams got through the first test. Half of the teams gets the Heaven Scroll, the other half get the Earth scroll. To put it simply, you're putting your life on the line to retrieve both scrolls. For this second exam, the time limit is 120 hours. Do it in exactly five days."

"What about food?!"

"Be self sufficient! It's a treasure trove in the wilderness. There's more than enough food!" She yelled.

"However, there are thing that you need to beware of like poison bugs, poisonous weeds and much more." Kabuto said.

"Besides, it's improbable that 39 people, 13 teams will pass." Neji said.

"Ok! We are ready. But before that, there is conditions of disqualification. One, if all 3 members of the team can't make it to the tower with the Heaven and Earth Scrolls within the time limit, disqualified. Two, if a team loses a member or if a member became incapacitated, disqualified. Lastly, never ever, look into the scroll's content unless you have reached the tower! Now go over to the stand over there and they will hand you either the earth or and heaven and give you your designated entrance." Anko said and indicated to the stand where other jonins were.

"Finally a word of advice, don't die!"

Akiko's team received an earth scroll as every team began to walk towards their designated entrance. As they stood in front of gate 23.

Akiko POV

Our chance has finally come. I thought.

The Jonin unlocked the lock for the gate and checked his watch.

"We now start the second test of the Chunin Exam!" I heard Anko yelled and began sorinting in the woods. 

Heaven scroll, heaven scroll.... I thought. 

"As you already know, we only have one motive." Reiki said as Shota and I nodded, the scroll. You and the team you were assigned with sprinted through the forest and stopped.

"We should get to know the area first, this way we can navigate easier." I said. I looked around as the 2 behind me were on guard. I felt a presence from above and looked up. 3 ninjas from the rain village.

"Heh, kids. It's like begging to be found, standing in that conspicuous place." I narrowed my eyes.

"They sensed our presence, not bad." The other guys said. Reiki immediately got out a kunai and slashed them quickly. I walked over and took a look at the scroll.

"Heaven scroll, perfect." I said and smirked. The supposedly scroll puffed and turned into wood.

"You guys are pretty smart." I said and looked at the tree.

"..."

"Come out, I know you're there." The presence behind the tree stayed silent.

"Hah.... I guess we got busted." The three guys said and got out of their hiding space.

"What?!" Shota said, confused and looked at the bodies which were now wood.

"Substitution justu." Reiki said. 

"That's right, I didn't knew you brats would get it, we concealed our chakra well." The guy said.

"Water style: Raging waves!" Another guy said. I jumped up.

3rd POV

The waves raged over as it damaged the thicc trees. Akiko jumped up as both the boys did too. Akiko brought out a kunai and threw at the guy but he dodged as the kunai hit the floor.

"Heh sorry little girl, but you're going to do a little more than that to kill me." The guys said.

"You fell into my trap." Akiko said solemnly as there was a paper bomb attached with the kunai and let off. The opposing team got caught in the bomb as the water started flowing to their sides.

"Which one of you can use water style?" Akiko said.

"I can." Shota said.

"Ok, cast a justu on them." Akiko commanded as Shota did as told. 

"Water style: Water Bullet!" Shota yelled as the three rain ninja got drenched.

"Lightning style: Piercing Arrows!" Akiko yelled as thousands of lightning arrows pierced through each of the ninja's chest as the blood poured out. They yelled in agony and cursed as they finally died. Akiko hopped off and began to search the body and pulled out a heaven scroll.

"We're good to go." She said.

"Now carry me." Akiko said to Reiki as hesitated but began to do so. Akiko hopped on and began her sleep.

Akiko opened her eyes as she felt a kunai coming towards her as she stopped it with her own kunai. 

"What do you want, I thought we were in the same team." Akiko said as she looked at Shota and Reiki. 

"We were sent here for a reason, and you're in our way." Shota said.

"I don't really want you to die so get out of the way." Reiki said. It was true, the two kinda liked Akiko. They thought she was quite an interesting character.

"What is your objective?" Akiko asked. The two were shocked, shouldn't she be scared or something? But instead, they got no reaction. Shota growled and attacked Akiko again which she deflected.

"*yawn*...I don't want to repeat myself." She said as her immense amount of chakra began to poor out. This was more than enough to make the two stop in their track and began to sweat. Shota passed out as Reiki was still standing. Akiko stopped and kicked Reiki towards a tree. 

"W-we were to test how strong your teammate Sasuke was.." Reiki said as his back was in pain and he coughed out blood.

"Who were you sent by?"

"Orochimaru...." Akiko thought for a minute.

"I need to pass so I'll heal you." Akiko said summoned a shadow creature.

(Ignore the two humans.)

"Kaisen." Akiko said as the shadow dragon bowed at the girl.

"My liege." The large dragon said.

"We're going by air, Reiki, get yourself done and pick up your brother, we going." Akiko looked at the boy who was struggling. She walked over and used her shadow manipulation to pick up Reiki and walked over towards Shota and also picked him up.

"Lets go." And they took off on the dragon.
