Chapter 17

Team 7 walked as they went to their destination. Room 301. They stood in front of the door as room was filled with rogue like ninjas that were older then they were.

"W-wow." Naruto said as he looked around.

Their is so many people....Could it that they're all applicant? Sakura thought. There were indeed a lot of people. The people stared intensely at them.

"Sasuke - kun you're late!" Said a voice that ran up to Sasuke. The white sack that was behind Sasuke jumped off and avoided the tackle.

Oh hell nah. Akiko thought as she backed away and walked towards where Sakura was. Ino's voice was incredibly sugar-coated to the point that Akiko wants to throw up, and Imma tell you right now, she is the type of person that throws up.

"Get away from Sasuke! Ino pig!" Sakura yelled, pointing at Ino.

"Ara, It's Sakura! Your Billboard Brow hasn't changed, eh? Ugly!" Ino said. Akiko wondered, why do girls always insult each other, they were both pretty. Well let me tell you right now Akiko, you're pretty. That's why you can't understand like- You look like Emilia who even I- A girl simp for. And girls tend to get boys's attention where here from the people who are cultured, they simp for....'body pillow', if you know what I mean. 😏

"What did you say?!" Sakura yelled at Ino who was sticking her tongue out at Sakura.

Poor Sasuke....Akiko thought, feeling bad for the boy carried the burden as an Uchiha and was enveloped by girls. Then Shikamaru and Choji walked over.

"What's up with this." Shikamaru said.

"Shikamaru!" Akiko said.

"Are you guys going to take this bothersome exam too?" He asked.

"How about a game of shogi after this, Shikamaru?" Akiko asked.

"Huh? But you always win." He said.

That's right! A few months before, Choji and Shikamaru ditched class which Akiko tagged along. And Shikamaru asked for a game of Shogi which he taught you. The young Nara was surprised to which how Akiko got caught up so quickly and just a few hours and began to start beating him in every round. He tends to ask for advice every time the rounds end. And that's how Shikamaru began to take fond of Akiko who was just like him, smart but Lazy.

"My my, everybody's here!" Kiba said, walking over.

"H-hello." said a shy voice. Hinata Hyuga, another Hyuga that was a friend of Akiko's. She was a lot better than Sakura and Ino. And next to the 2 was Shino, a boy of a few words.

"What? You guys too? Man. This exam will be a drag." Shikamaru complained.

"Everyone's here. This means that all 10 Genin rookies are taking the Exam." Kiba said with his usual tryna-be-cool tone.

"But," Shikamaru said, looking at team 7.

"Only teams of 3 can be enter the genin exams." He said.

"Well, I'm a special case." Akiko said smiling as the guys blushed.

"We won't lose to you guys. Hmph." Kiba said with smug look and an arrogant aura. This will be a royal pain.

"Shut up! I don't know about Sasuke, but I sure won't lost to you guys!" Naruto said.

"I'm sorry Naruto...." Hinatat said quietly.

"Hey you guys. you should be a little quieter." Said a guy with gray hair, walking over to us.

"You guys are the 'rookie ten' right? Fresh out of the academy?" He asked as we all looked at him.

"I heard one of you guys has a special case. Carrying on like that with cute faces like that...man. This isn't a field trip." He said.

"Who're you?" Asked Ino.

"I'm Yakushi Kabuto. Anyways, take a good look around you." We all looked around us at the ninjas from different villages (and the same) looking at us.

"Everyone's tense before the exam. I thought I'd warned you guys before they beat the crap out of you. I guess it can't be helped..... You're rookies who don't know anyone besides your friends. Let me help you a bit."

"Kabuto was it?" Sakura asked.

"Is this your second time taking the exam?"

"No actually....seventh. Chunin exams are only held twice a year so it's my forth year." He said.

"Then that means you know a lot about these exams?!" Sakura asked.

"Well.....kind of..." Kabuto said.

Kind of my ass, you literally took the exam 7 times and never passed. Akiko thought, a bit annoyed by Sakura's dumb question.

"Is the Chunin exam that hard? Tch, this is absolutely a drag." Shikamaru asked.

"then, maybe I'll give you a start off." Kabuto said as he held out a deck of cards.

"With these ninja info cards." He said.

"ninja info cards?"

"to put it simply, they're cards that have information in them. There are close to 200 of these cards. They are blank to the naked eye but..." he began putting chakra in one of the cards.

"The way to reveal them is from my chakra." He said. He began spinning one from his hand. With a puff of a smoke, a map appeared on the card.

"Woah awesome! What information is this?"

"The number of test takers and participating nations, and the number of applicants from each respective village is individually displayed." Kabuto looked up. "What do you think the chunin exam is jointly conducted in the first place?" He asked.

"Well now you put it like that." everyone turned to Akiko.

"It's to build better relationships with the other villages." she said. Akiko then narrowed her eyes.

"Perhaps it is to check the strength of the neighboring nations, keeping the power balance equal."

"That's correct. At least one of you has a brain." Kabuto said and made the card blank. Sasuke then stepped in.

"In the deck of cards, are there ones with detailed individual information?" He asked.

"Yes....there is. Are there ones you're concerned about?" Kabuto asked.

"Yes, there is." Kabuto picked his card up and neatened it.

"The information for the applicants this time around is not perfect, but it's saved. You guys too. About those 'ones you're concerned about', who you know. Tell me their information and I'll retrieve it for you." Kabuto said.

"Gaara of the sand village, Rock Lee of the Leaf Village and...........Akiko of the Leaf village." Sasuke said, glancing at the girl who was looking at him, confused. Sasuke couldn't understand. She was with him for like forever, yet she told no information to him. She recently displayed her power, so he needed to know more.

"It's no fun if you know the names, well anyways." Kabuto said and drew out three cards.

"Well then, first Rock Lee." He began spinning the card.

"He's one year older than you guys. His mission experience, 20 D-ranks and 11 C-ranks. His squad lead is guy. In just this year, his Taijutsu has drastically improved, but his other skills are no good at all. His teammates are Tenten and Neji Hyuga." He then pulled out another card.

"Next....Gaara of the Desert. His mission experience, 8 C-ranks. B ranks.... wow, 1 B-rank as a Genin. He's a Shinobi from a different land and is a rookie, so there is no further information. But....it seems he has returned from all of his missions uninjured." Kabuto said.

"B-rank as a Genin... but uninjured." Shikamaru said, now thinking that taking this exam was the biggest mistake he has done.

As expected of Shukaku! Akiko thought happily.

The Genin sweated.

"Lastly, Akiko...what....?" The cards information had nothing. The only things it showed was black and the word 'no' on it. The Genins looked at her who only smiled and radiated menace.

She closed her eyes and put a finger on her lips.

"I don't give you my permission to give away my secrets." Akiko said. The boys blushed slightly at how elegant she was, but was also scared. How was she able to do that? Just then, a puff of smoke appeared at the front of the room.

Perfect timing.
