Chapter 18: Searching

Loki's P.O.V.

It has been well over a day and still no sign of Elizabeth. Stark is starting to worry that something has happened to her. I hope she hasn't gone to another realm for my sake. I haven't been able to even sleep because of my nightmares. I'm used to Elizabeth blocking them off, but since she is gone they have returned. I haven't slept or eaten in over a day and I keep pacing in my chambers trying to find a way to locate her. I have even tried every locating spell I know. I read and reread all my spell books mother gave me and can't find anything to help. Then it hit me. Elizabeth uses magic so she must have some sort of spell book. I go into her room and search her library for books that might be considered spell books. As I'm looking I grab a book that looks like it could be one. As I pull the book the shelf opens up and I see a giant book that is in a glass frame. I notice that I'm in a different room with the book. I can't see anything because it is so dark. When I take another step, the torches magically turn on. As I start to go deeper and deeper into the room, I see pictures of people I don't know but each of them is next to or above Elizabeth. When I reach for the glass case to open it I notice it's locked. I wave my hand above the lock and it falls to the ground. I open the book and out pops a little creature with long ears and a tail. It's fur is black and is slicked back.

"You have no access to this book Loki Laufeyson." It said with a dark voice. I saw shocked that this creature knew who I was.

"How do you know my name?" I asked.

"I know many things and I also know many realms and faces. Also I've seen you before in that one realm. What's it called? Ashland, Abard, wait it's Assgard. That's right Assgard." I face palm myself at this creatures knowledge.

"No, it's Asgard not Assgard. But we are getting off topic. I need a spell."

"Let me guess you want a spell to get the girl don't yeah. Well can't help you there since you don't have access to this book."

"No, I already have a girl who I'm engaged to. I need a spell to locate Elizabeth."

"Why do you need that spell. Wait let me guess she vanished out of thin air again didn't she? Relax she probably teleported or something."

"But she was surrounded by these dark shadow like devils and was using her wand at the time, but she dropped it before she disappeared." The creature was thinking and was deep in thought when a picture of her and a man began to glow ever so slightly. ->

"Well looks like you've got your answer Loki. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go back to sleep until I'm needed by Elizabeth again." The creature said as it jumped back into the book.

"Wait. A glowing picture doesn't provide me an answer. I need an answer now."

"Fine. You see how this room is full of pictures of Elizabeth and other people?"

"Yes, now stop treating me like a toddler and get on with it." The creature rolled it's eyes at me for some unknown reason.

"These pictures are pictures of Elizabeth and her fathers. Since both of her mothers are either married or dating one of her fathers they don't need a picture with Elizabeth. As the picture glows like so, it means that she is at their place for some reason. Now goodbye."

"Wait where is she exactly?"

"With her mother and father aka Eclipsa Queen of Darkness and the Nightmare King. Before you start asking me where it is and how do I get there I'm just gonna tell you that if you go there your nightmares literally become your reality."

"My nightmares are already my reality, so it won't be much different. Just take me there."

"Very well, but I can't bring you back. Only a royal from there can bring you back." The creature said right before she teleported me to a dark land. The sky was a light grey and the ground was covered in black sand. In the distance was a tall black castle with elegant but dark windows. As I got the the castle I saw horses and giants made of blood that were guarding the gate. As I enter no one questioned me and as to why I was there. I went into the main hallway. The hallway was full of pictures some of Elizabeth's father and a women with black hair, red lips, and grey eyes but there were a few of a little girl who I presumed was Elizabeth. ->

Even in her youth she was above average for her beauty. I shook my head and continued to go down the hallway. As I turned the corner of the hallway, I saw the throne room. The throne room was big and was mainly black with silver outlining it. Their were three chairs to represent the three members of the royal family. No one was their so I decided to wait. As I walked by admiring the room, I heard a voice.

"It's intoxicating isn't?" I turn around and see her father standing right besides me. He was wearing a dark robe with silver here and there, he had yellow eyes, black slicked back hair, a narrow face, and wore a silver crown. His eyes seemed as if they were looking into my very soul. "Now Loki, how can I help you?" He said.

"How do you know who I am?"

"I know who you are based on your fear. I know everyone's greatest fear, and no two fears are exactly the same they may be similar but aren't identical. Well by the look in your eyes I would say you've gone over 36 hours with no sleep, so you want me to take your nightmares away for a few days to try and get some shut eye. Usually I wouldn't be so gracious, but fortunately for you I'm in a good mood so I shall grant this one wish." He said as he waved his hands and a black shadow appeared from head and into his hands. "Now, will that be all?" He asked.
