"No."

"Why not? Give me one good reason." Grace said whilst glaring at me from across the table. I shut my laptop down.

"Because why would I want too?"

"Because it's there last show before they go off tour, because this could be what you've been waiting for, because you have to get out of the house, it's been a year Charlie."

"Grace there is so many reasons of why not too go. The major one being it's been two years since i last saw him and he probably doesn't even remember me and besides, I've already made plans with Finn anyway." And as an after thought I added "See i do go out and i am well aware it's been a year Grace. Now i really have to go." I said whilst cramming my last bit of toast in my mouth and picking up my bag and books.

"Charlie, if you never shoot you'll never know. Finn can wait and spending the night with him watching films and eating pizza does not constitue as 'going out'. Tommy wouldn't want.." She stopped mid sentence chosing her words wisely. There was a long pause before she said, "You've at least got to try. What am i going to do with our tickets if we don't go?"

"Grace I love you but stop. Now I have to meet Finn before I go to uni and im going to be late for both, so i will see you later. Goodbye grace." She sighed,

"Goodbye Charlotte.

I really did love grace, she's been my best friend since we were 13 years old, but she just didn't know when to quit. She's never going to quit it no. Ever since I told her about my encounter with Matty she hasn't stopped going on and on. Two years i've had to listen to it, She even bought us their concert tickets to go see when they were in Manchester. I sold them. I wasn't about to be hung up on someone i had known 5 minutes and who probably didn't even think of me. It got even worse when i met Finn. Him and Grace really did not get on, neither did Finn and I on times, but we made it work for about two years now. We met at some party shortly after my encounter with Matty and it turned out we were starting at the same university. He was studying medicine and I'm studying law, despite our occasional diferences we just clicked.

I was walking along oxford street on my way to meet Finn when my phone rang, Grace. "Yes dear?" I said trying not to show my annoyance.

"You left your keys here again einstein, I'll Leave them under the mat before I go." I guess she was good for some things.

"Thank you thank you thank you thank you. You're the best." I said feeling kind of bad that i was annoyed when i first picked up the phone.

"yes I am the best, goodbye charlotte."

"Goodbye Grace."

I hung up the phone and rumaged through my bag, I was almost certain I had picked up my keys although it wasn't uncommon that i had forgotten them. When i started university Grace and i moved into an apartment together and 5 out of the 7 days a week I would forget my keys. I looked up from my bag and i was met with a collision causing me to drop everything i was holding and my bag to fall off my shoulder and the contents of my bag to spread across the floor. I quickly bent down to pick up my stuff but so did the stranger causing our heads to bump together.

"Ow fuck." I said rasing my hand to my head. Too embarassed to even look, i simply muttered out "Sorry."

"It's OK." The stranger said. He helped me pick up the contents of my bag. I looked up to be met with an unruly set of black curls. He then also looked up and said, "Here." Whlist trying to hand me back my lipstick. My heart stopped when the realisation of who the stranger was hit me. I stood up slowly unable to speak or do anything else, I just stared at him blankly. Jesus Charlie say something, anything say something or anything, JUST SPEAK.

"T-thanks." I managed to say and took my lipstick out of his hand trying so very hard to not make him aware of my shaking hands.

"Sorry about that, I should really look where I'm going." He said. Say something Charlie say something.

"Uh, It's fine. Uh don't worry about it." He doesn't remeber me. I mean I guess i kind of new that he wouldn't. I mean i never thought i'd see him again, but if by complete coincidence we were to run into each other, you can't really expect Matty Healy to remember a girl he'd known for 5 minutes right? He smiled and turned to walk away. My heart sunk. I stood there and watched him walk away, His mess of black curls blowing in the wind. Move Charlie you can't just stand here and watch him. I turned to walk away and I just kept walking until someone behind me shouted something.

"HEY WAIT."

I turned around to see Matty running towards me, well not quite running he was too cool for that, more walking fast. Breathe, just stay calm he doesn't know your a loser, breathe.

"Wasn't the deal that if we met out of complete coincidence, you'd be forced to give me your number?" He said whilst smirking. It took everything in me not to smile like a weirdo. Play it cool.
