Chapter 29 - No Hope
23:10, 24 April 2015Sorry this isn't edited guys I was just trying to get a chapter up for you!
Eda's POV
I looked up at my father, fear taking over my body. I knew he wasn't going to let me get away with this.
My mother walked in next to him, I saw no compassion in her eyes. When she saw Legolas's arm around me she glared. "Get your hands off my daughter," she growled.
Legolas met her steel like gaze with his own. "She isn't your daughter."
"She is my daughter!" she screamed, "I raised her, I fed her, I gave her a place to live, I did everything for the little brat!"
"Just be quiet," I say quietly, "i'm tired of the lies. So tired of it all, do whatever you're planning to do to ruin my life and get it over with." Everybody's quiet. Legolas tightened his hold around my waist.
Edel turned around and talked to some people then left with my mother. Two men came in and tried to grab me. Legolas grabbed one of them and punched them, successfully knocking him out cold. I sent a kick towards the other one hitting him in the stomach, then wrapped my hands around his neck, cutting off his air supply.
Legolas grabbed my hand and we ran out of the tent looking for and guards of my fathers. We didn't see anyone so we ran through the maze of tents, trying not to be noticed.
He kept leading me through the maze then suddenly stopped. He turned to me and put one finger in front of his mouth, motioning me to be quiet. I nodded in understanding. We both bent down behind one of the tents and listened to the conversation going on inside.
"What do you mean they got away!" I heard Edel scream.
"Sir I don't know what happened, they are just gone," the poor man said.
I heard the Edel take out his sword and then the sound of a lifeless body hitting the ground. He stormed out of the tent going the way we just came from. We looked around the other side of the tent and found all Edel's men sitting around campfires. There was no way of us getting past them. We sat down behind the tent so nobody could see us.
Legolas looked at me and smiled weakly, "I'm going to make a distraction and you can run and get out," he said quietly so nobody could hear our conversation.
I glared at him, "I will never leave you, especially not here."
He slowly brought his lips to mine, this kiss wasn't like the others it was his way of saying goodbye.
I pulled back from the kiss, "you're not going alone, I love you too much." I smashed my lips back to his. His arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer.
He pulled back panting, "I'm not going to let you die Eda, that's why I'm going out there."
"Legolas, we are in this together. I could never leave you. If you die I die by your side, if it's today or if its in 2000 years." He smiled and kissed me again. I kissed back just as hard.
"Hey I see them!" A guard yelled in the distance.
We pulled apart and quickly stood up, "I love you Eda," Legolas says.
"I love you too Legolas."
We both ran opposite directions hoping for the best. But there was that overwhelming sadness that lingered. I might never seen him again.
I kept running, running for Legolas, running for Farin, running for my life. A guy jumped out in front of me, I quickly brought my fist up to his face. With a couple blows he was knocked out. I took his sword and bow and lastly the dagger. I held it in my hand and looked at the man. I close my eyes and stuck the dagger in his chest, killing him.
The blood dripped from the dagger and onto my hand. I took and deep breath and started to walk forward, smashing and slicing anybody in my way.
Until I heard it, the cry of my lover, he's hurt. I turned around and started to run towards him, he would've done the same thing for me. I continued to kill without mercy. All that was on my mind was Legolas, I had to save him. I couldn't continue without him.
When I got to him he was still bravely fighting with a dagger in his side. I ran up next to him and started to fight the guards off. The kept coming, it was never ending.
Legolas then fell, I looked down. An arrow was in his back blood freely flowing from his mouth. His blue eyes looked at me, slowly draining of life.
I bent down next to him, tears flowing from my eyes.
He took a deep breath, "A-at least I get t-to die with you at my side," he says.
Then his eyes close.
