Leilani-

"Leilani, I've been looking for you," Marco walked up to me and Derek

"I was looking for you too.."

"Come with me," he grabbed my hand

"I'll talk to you later Derek!" I waved

"Why you talkin' to that nigga?"

"Because I wasn't going to be rude and ignore him Marco!"

"Damn, ok chill!"

"Where's my drink?" I sighed

"Right here." he handed me a red solo cup

"OK I GOT SOMETHING I WANT Y'ALL TO HEAR!" the dj said through the microphone

"IT'S OFF OF DRAKES SOON TO BE REALEASED MIXTAPE! LETS GET IT!"

The music blasted through the speakers

"Yo, nice song mang," my good friend Mark dapped me

"Thanks, the tape is dropping tomorrow, make sure you download it."

"Oh I will forsure, I'll talk to you later. Peace!" he walked off

"Aubrey that song was great!" Leilani patted my back

"Thanks, glad you like it. Oh I got something for you."

"What is it?" she got excited

"It's in my car, c'mon."

We left the hectic party and headed to my car. I unlocked it and grabbed one of the CD's on the ground.

"Here's a hard copy of my tape that's dropping tomorrow," I handed it to her

"Thank you Aubrey! This is great!" she hugged me

"You really like my music? Be real with me."

"I really do Aubrey. You have a great talent, and I'm so glad you're going for it. You're going to be famous one day!"

"Wow. You think so?"

"I know so. Keep doing great things."

"I'm trying but what you said gives me more of a reason to push harder."

"Well, I'm your biggest fan," she smiled

"After Jade, that is."

"I don't think she really likes my music..." I said getting frustrated

"Why?"

"Shit. I don't know, she thinks I care about it more than I care about her."

"Separate the two, make time for her."

"I guess you're right, why are you so good with relationships?" I chuckled

"I'm not... look at me and Marco," she looked down

This guy is tearing her apart.

"Do you think he's cheating on me?"

"uh. nah," I lied

"You would tell me right?" a tear ran down her cheek

"Of course," I pulled her into a hug

"Are you drunk Lei?"

"Kinda," she whispered

"Knew it. Want me to take you home?"

"Please?" she looked up at me

I was so tempted to kiss her, and I could tell she wanted me to.

I opened the car door for her and shut it when she got in.

I got in the drivers seat and started up my car.

"You wanna put the CD in?"

"No, I'm gonna listen to it later."

We pulled up to a traffic light.

"Are you going back to the party?"

"Yea, why?"

"I'm sorry! You didn't have to go out of your way to drive me," she looked at me, her green eyes sparkling

"It's fine, I didn't want you riding back with Marco, he's probably wasted."

The light turned green, we headed down the road in silence, a comfortable silence.

"What the hell are they doing?" Leilani pointed to a car that was swerving back and forth.

"They need to chill forreal."

Abruptly, a pair of headlights came our way at a high speed.

"OHMYGOD! DRAKE SWERVE!" Leilani grabbed the wheel.

The reckless driver hit my car on the side sending us rolling down the side of the road.

It's like everything went slow motion, I tried grabbing Leilani one moment. I hear her screaming the next, then the car came to a stop.

My vision was blurred, I looked over to the passengers seat. It was covered in blood, Leilani was covered in it.

"Lei wake up," I shook her arm

No response.

The whole atmosphere was spinning around me.

Then everything went black.
