THIRTY-EIGHT
05:47, 25 February 2024Olivia held onto her son as she waited to push again. She had the hardest time focusing on anything but her little boy.
"I thought we'd have little girls," Olivia whispered as Amanda brushed Olivia's sweaty bangs from her forehead.
"I know, I did too. Maybe Charlie is going to be the only girl," Amanda smiled.
"Nah, I think the next one will be a girl," Serena spoke up.
"Yeah?" Olivia asked as she turned to look at her mother.
"Yeah, and I'm the grandma. I know my stuff," Serena chuckled, before leaning down and kissing her daughter's temple lightly.
"Alright, Olivia, it's time we take your little boy and get him cleaned up. You are getting closer to pushing again, and we don't want him to restrict your pushes. So, may we take him?" Dr. Strong asked as she got ready to deliver Olivia's second baby.
"Can't I keep him?" Olivia asked softly. She hated the thought of giving her son up not long after he was born.
"You will get him back soon, I promise. I just need you to focus."
"Liv, I'll go with him if it makes you feel better," Serena offered, and Olivia nodded slowly.
"Please..." Olivia trailed off slowly, her face growing red with the pain from yet another contraction.
"You've got this, honey. I promise," Serena whispered, before kissing her daughter's forehead softly and following a nurse to the opposite side of the room.

There were thirty minutes between the babies. The second time around, Olivia was having a very hard time and could barely keep up with Dr. Strong's orders, but she managed to deliver her little girl without giving up completely. Then, around noon, the crew came up to visit. Serena had gone to Olivia and Amanda's house to nap and then take over for the babysitter.
"Hey," Olivia smiled, as Nick and Fin walked in. Rafael was trailing behind them, his face pale and he looked incredibly uncomfortable about being there.
"Hey, baby girl. How are you doing?" Fin asked as he walked to where Olivia lay in her bed.
"I'm beyond exhausted, but my dreams have all come true. I'm so happy," Olivia admitted, as Fin leaned down and hugged her.
"You deserve to be happy," Fin whispered.
"I love you," Olivia whispered, as Fin leaned back to look at her.
"I love you too, baby girl. Now, what do we have?" Fin asked as Nick and Rafael came over to hug Olivia.
"Uncle Fin, you have another niece and a nephew," Amanda smiled.
"Really?" Fin asked, and Olivia nodded.
"Really," Olivia smiled.
"Are all three of you okay? All in good health?" Nick asked as Amanda left the room to request the twins be brought back down.
"We are doing great. Both babies passed their tests with flying colors and I'm exhausted and sore, but so happy. Like, how do I have three kids and a beautiful wife?!" Olivia replied, her face brightening with a smile.
"You've worked so hard to get to this point, Liv," Fin spoke, and Olivia nodded as Amanda rolled in one cart and a nurse rolled in the other. Olivia pushed herself up slowly as she watched her babies when they were pushed to her bedside.
"Everyone, these are our babies. Baby A is Clayton Odafin and Baby B is Daphne Louise," Amanda spoke proudly, as she motioned for their friends to come closer and look at their babies.
"Did you really name him after me?" Fin asked as he held his arms out to block Nick and Rafael from getting close to the babies. Olivia chuckled as Amanda joined her on the bed.
"Don't let it get to your head, baby hog," she laughed. Fin looked over his shoulder and looked at Amanda and Olivia.
"It's an honor... Now, kick these two out. Uncle Fin needs time with these babies."

Olivia and Amanda laid together in the hospital bed as Clayton and Daphne slept in their cots. On their first night as parents to three babies, Olivia and Amanda expected to be more tired. Instead, all they could do was talk about how amazing everything was.
"Daphne and Clay could be your twins. They look so much like you," Amanda smiled, as she tucked a stray hair behind Olivia's ear.
"I'm glad they look like me because it would be awkward to explain to people that they take after their donor," Olivia whispered.
"Even if they do in the future, they will always be our babies. You put in all the hard work," Amanda breathed.
"I may never look as good as I did before..." Olivia trailed off.
"So? I love you no matter what you look like. If I didn't, then why would I have married you? Had sex with you?" Amanda asked as Olivia's cheeks grew red.
"Do you think we are going to last?" Olivia questioned weakly. She was worried that Amanda might change her mind and decide that she no longer felt at home in New York. That she wants to move back to Atlanta and raise Charlotte alone.
"I think that you and I are going to be stuck together for a very long time. We have at least eighteen years to put up with each other, but I feel like I'll want to be with you for much longer than that. You make me so happy, Liv. No one else has been able to keep me around for this long, but it's because I'm hooked on you," Amanda replied.
"You were a flake before me," Olivia admitted.
"Gee, thanks," Amanda laughed softly, before leaning close and kissing her wife softly.
"Flake or not, I want you. Please tell me if you get bored or fall out of love with me, because I will always put in the work to keep you," Olivia whispered.
"I promise... Now, close your eyes. You have had a very long day and deserve to get some shut-eye. I'll be on baby duty."
