Smg4 Fanfiction: Crystal Splezter - It's time

Plot: Splatfest approaches...and Meggy is ready.

Meggy stared through the window of the moving car, her mind still struggling to understand the sudden change in her life.

A hand traced over her stomach, her heart wretched.

She didn't even know what the word "Pregnant" meant until an hour ago, now she was...she was-

???: Meggy? Sunshine, can you hear me?

She turned her head. Her Mom looked at her with concern, having reached a stop light to check on her.

Mrs Splezter: Meggy, you haven't spoken since the doctors. I'm worried.

Meggy: I don't wanna talk Mom...

She turned away a bit, going back to looking at the window.

Mrs Splezter: Meggy, you know you can talk to me.

Her Mom put her hand in her shoulder. She stuttered on her words.

Meggy: M-Mom...

Mrs Splezter: Shh, it's okay.

Meggy: I can't...I just can't...I don't know how to raise a baby...I can't do it...

Her mom smiled, pulling her into a soft hug.

Mrs Splezter: Hey, you know you're still my tough little girl.

Meggy: I'm not a little girl anymore though, I'm having a baby...

Mrs Splezter: You'll always be my little Sunshine though...

Meggy stumbled on her words, before turning and hugging her Mom.

Mrs Splezter: It's gonna be okay. We're gonna go home and talk to your father...then we can have a long talk and decide what you wanna do...

Meggy: P-promise you won't leave me?

Mrs Splezter: I promise...

She smiled for the first time that day...hugging her mom as the whole world seemed to fade into a white void.

Mrs Splezter: I love you, my little Sunshine.

Meggy: I love you too Mom.

(February 15th - 2020)

Meggy bolted from her sleep, holding her head as the false memories wrecked her head. She was used to it at this point, doing her breathing exercises so she didn't wake Crystal.

Meggy: It's just your imagination. It's just what you wanted to happen. You know that...they rejected you. It's better this way...

She got out of bed, looking at the sun that shone through the window...

She sighed as she grabbed her Splattershot and went to train.

Meggy: Time to get to work...

The inkopalis news played on a figure's ink cellphone with Marie and Callie reporting.

Callie: With just a 2 more weeks until the last ever Splatfest, people are more hyped up then ever!

Marie: That's right Callie, but what really has people talking is one of the latest teams to be added to the roster, Team Splatsquad!

Panning to the next image, there was the Splatsquad. Mario, Tari, Meggy and Desti, all standing in various poses.

Callie: 3 humans and the former leader of the Octo Posse?! Wow, this is certainly something unique!

Marie: Certainly! Their leader is Meggy Splezter, a local girl who's dreams of-

The news paused as the figure was heard crying.

???: Meggy...we finally found you...

The phone dropped to the ground, cracking it was it glitched and zoomed onto Meggy's face.

???: Don't worry. We'll find you again...my little Sunshine...
