Chapter 18: Merry Christmas!🎄

Lisa's POV

We're now here in the airport. Bidding goodbye to Jennie's family. Actually they are all here. Mr.Kim, Jisoo, Dahyun and even her little sister Sohyun who I just meet for the first time is here. Then I forgot, Rose is also here just to accompany her girlfriend. Seriously? Can they leave each other just for one hour? They always together.

So, Lisa and Jennie have a safe flight and don't forget what I've told to the two of you, the baby thingy ok? Mr.Kim said. So, Jennie's father really serious about this I thought he's just joking.

OMG! Lisa so that's the reason why  you and Jennie will be going abroad! Why you didn't tell me? Rose said while smiling. I just give her shut-your-mouth-or-else-I-will-kill-you look. Well, she gets it so she became silent.

Hmm, Jennie I'm sorry for Rose just don't mind her, I whispered to Jennie who's face is really red now. Well, who wouldn't it's really embarrassing to open this kind of topic in front of your family.

When we heard that we need to go now. We quickly hugged each other and bid goodbye again to them.

While going inside the airplane. I feel that my phone got vibrated. I quickly open it to see who's gonna be texted me.

Hey girl! Good luck to your flight. I'm sorry I can't go there to accompany you. But I just want to say that I will miss you since you will be there for days. Awwts! I can't see you in Christmas and New year. But I'm still happy since you will spend it with Jennie. I know this is your wish I just give my Christmas present to you when you return in Korea.😘

I smiled instantly when I read it. Mina is so sweet she never forget about me. That's why I consider her as one of my most favorite person. I really love her but hey! Don't take it wrong huh? Just a friend you know!

Who texted you? Seems like this person is really important to you. You even smiling while reading her message,Jennie said while smiling.

Oh nothing it's just Mina, I smiled back.

Oh I see, she said while nodding.

After hours, our airplane just arrived in the Philippines. Since it's evening and we're really tired. We quickly goes in Jennie's house here in the Philippines since they have one here for business matters. Haiist! They really that rich! We can't even tour up ourselves into the place since we're really that tired.

------------(The next morning)

It's the 24th day of December. Since Christmas is really big deal in the Philippines. I can see that our neighborhood is really busy preparing for their dinner in Christmas Eve.

Look at them, they really busy in preparing. I didn't know that Christmas is really big deal in this country, Jennie said to me. So, she's already wake up?

Yeah, It makes me really happy while watching them. Well, we know that Christmas is not that big deal in Korea. It's just for a couple so, it surprise me since it's new for me, I said to her.

Yeah I agreed with you.Wait, I have an idea! I think it will be fun to celebrate Christmas too just like Pilipinos do, Jennie said excitingly.

Oh, I think it's really fun, I said.

I want to celebrate it. So, I decided we will also celebrate the Christmas, Jennie said.I just nod on her idea.

So, you're in? Gosh, I'm really excited I really want to experience their Christmas. I know it's not cold here just like our Christmas with snow. But I think their tradition of celebrating it really looks interesting, she said.

Yeah, I agreed with you so, what are we going to do to make it possible? I asked her.

We're going to mall and we will go shopping for the things we need for our preparation, Jennie said.

Well, let's go then, I said.

------------Jennie's POV

We're now here at the mall shopping things we need. First, we buy ingredients for our dinner and lastly, we also buy Christmas decorations for our house. I know it's too late for us to decorate it but I don't mind it atleast we did it. I just want to feel Christmas ambiance in my house.

I think the things we buy are all enough, I said.

Yeah, I know and since we're finished can we just take a rest for a while. Look it's too heavy to carry all these things, Lisa said irritating. Oh, I forgot I let Lisa carry all the thing we buy.

Look sorry Lisa, I didn't notice that you're having hard time carrying all these things, sorry for being insensitive, I apologize to her.

No it's ok. It just that I feel really irritated since that it's really hot in this country. You know I'm not used to it since in Korea is cold, she said. Then because of that I noticed that she's really sweating.

I take my handkerchief from my pocket because of that. I slowly wipe her sweats.

You're really sweaty person Lisa. You know it's air-conditioned here but your sweating really hard, I said while wiping her sweats. She's just looking at me seriously without saying anything.

Hey Lisa! I said to get her attention. But she's still just looking at me.

Hey Lisa I'm calling you, I shouted to her. And because of that her senses back.

Oh I'm sorry Jennie, she said while panicking.

I smiled because of that I really found it cute while she's doing it. I want to kiss her right now joke! Hahaha

It's ok Lisa. Wait, give me the others to lighten up your burden hahaha, I said while taking it from her.

Haiist! Thanks God you noticed it, Lisa said. While she's saying it I noticed the arcade on her side. I really want to play it badly since the last time I play it is when my mother is still alive. She always bring us here together with my siblings and my father because it is our kind of bonding. But when my mother passed away we stopped going here since we lose the person who's always initiating to come here

Lisa, I don't want to go home yet. Let's try playing arcade plsss I think it's really fun, I said while pointing out the arcade to her.

As if I have a choice, Lisa said in defeat.

We quickly goes in the arcade and play all the games here. We really had fun and I will say that this will be the best thing that happened in my life. Well spending every seconds of my life with her is always the best thing happened in my life. I'm starting to feel like I need to thank my dad because of this you know if he didn't tell us to go in a business trip I will not able to have quality time with her.

When we get tired of playing arcades we decided to go home and for us to prepare all the things. It's already in the evening when we get home. So, we quickly fixed all the things. I'm in charge in decorating our house and Lisa is in charge of cooking our dinner for Christmas Eve.

Jennie I'm finished preparing our dinner. Are you also finished in decorating? Lisa asked me.

Yep, I'm finished. Can you check it for me? Look if there's any problem can you tell it for me? I said to her.

No, it's pretty ok. I didn't know that you're a great designer too, Lisa said while smiling.

Hey Lisa! Don't make a joke. I just put the decoration in our home there's no amazing about it, I answered her. My attention caught when I heard some sound. I think they are singing.

Ohh wait, did you hear it. I think there's singing outside our house, I added to her.

I'm going to check it, Lisa said. We quickly goes in our door and open it. But to my suprise, we saw a group of kids singing in front of our door. We didn't understand what they are singing since it was a Filipino song but one thing that we understand about it they are singing because it was Christmas.

Actually we really appreciate your efforts but sorry guys we didn't understand your language, I said in English for them to understand.

I noticed that they are whispering to each other while looking at us seems like they are talking about us.

Sorry Ma'am but in Philippines. It is our tradition to go in other houses then sing a Christmas song. After that you need to give coins to us or anything just a gift you know? One girl said to us.

Sorry, but we didn't have any coins here but can you accept this stuff? I said while showing them the Teddy bear that I win from the machine.

OMG! Yes we can accept it! Thank you so much Ate! They said while excitingly toying the stuff toy I give from them.

You're welcome but what is Ate? I asked them curiously since it's the first time I hear this word maybe it was a Filipino word.

It means sister, one boy answered my question.

Oh I see, I said while nodding to them.

Thank you again our Ate and Merry Christmas, they said while waving their hand.

Merry Christmas too Kids, I said while smiling.

Wait, ate I forgot to tell you. The girl beside you she's really cute. I think you two will be a perfect couple, one kid tell it to me before she leaves us.

Hey Jennie sorry if I didn't speaking here. I just don't understand them and I can't speak English well, Lisa explained it to me. So, that's the reason why she's not speaking. That's why she's just standing beside me.

But I'm really curious about what the girl whispered to you since she's looking at me while telling it. I think she's talking about me, Lisa said.

I just smile from that thought. Even the kid also thinking that we can be a good couple since we are a good match. But as much I want it to happen I know it's impossible. Lisa doesn't love me I'm just a friend and one more thing we are both girls. This can't be.

Hmmmm, nothing she just said that you're really cute, I said while smiling.

Me? Cute? That girl was a liar hahaha, she said.

She's not in fact I'm agreeing to her. You're really cute oops no! You're beautiful, I said.

Yeah that's my point I'm not just cute, she said while pouting.

What happened why all of a sudden it becomes cold here in the Philippines? Is there any typhoon? I joked to her.

Yahhhh! Jennie you're so mean! She said smiling. Haiist! That smile I think this is the best gift that I've ever received in my life. Seeing her everyday was enough.

Oh, it's only one minute and the Christmas Eve will begin. I'm so excited! She said while looking in the window. Watching people preparing their dinner. But me? I'm just looking at her.

Jennie! It's already Christmas Eve. Let's open our gifts for each other! Lisa said excitingly. Because of that we quickly pick up the gifts we prepared each other and then we exchange.

Open your box first Lisa! I said to her since I'm really excited to give it to her. I really want to see Lisa's reaction if she will like it. Actually it was my sketch of Lisa's portrait. I can think a good idea of what will be my gift for her. But since I remember I have a sketch of Lisa I decided that this will be my gift to her. I just buy a frame for it.

When she opened it she quickly hugged me. And it makes me happy because it means she like it.

Jennie, I didn't know that you can sketch. I really appreciate this gift and it's really beautiful. That was the best gift that I've ever received in my life, Lisa sincerely said it to me.

I'm glad that you appreciate it, I said.

Wait now open your gift, Lisa said.

I quickly opened it then I saw an anime figure that is really lookalike of Lisa. But the only difference is the color of their hair. The hair color of the figure is red while Lisa's hair is brown colored. I really like it because it was Lisa's gift but seriously I didn't get it why it's her gift to me.

I know you're confused why this is my gift for you but try to press the button at the back, Lisa said. When I find the button that she was talking I quickly followed what she said. I press it then it surprise me when the anime figure said I-LOVE-YOU. I repeat it again then the anime figure repeatedly saying I love you.

I can't stop myself but to smile I can't control myself right now. I really want to kiss her now. I get it she give it to me because the anime figure represents Lisa telling me that she love me. I know I'm really assuming but that's what I think. I will keep it forever to remember Lisa always.

I'm sorry to my gift. Actually I just saw it in the mall. Because I think it looks like me I bought it to give it to you. As a remembrance you know, she said.

You know what I really like your gift. It makes me feel that you're confessing your feelings to me since this anime figure really looks like you. I can't stop from thinking that this figure was you who's telling I love you to me, I said to her while smiling.

Then she smiled back to me. I don't know what's about to her smile but one thing I know about it this is the beginning. The beginning of our new life.
