Ch.21: A great field mission

The second year is proving itself way harder than the last one for the students from Class 2-A. The new lessons are focusing more seriously on the hero's job, in the action, with more practical classes than theoretical ones.

Said lessons are demanding a lot of them physically, pushing everyone to the limit.

In the middle of the year, with the connections the Class still has with the heroes that recruited them last year, they'll be doing internships again. Some decided to risk a new experience with different mentors, but Katsuki and Sisipho just couldn't choose any agency other than Amazon's.

Both are indeed a simp for Mandla and her job as a hero.

However, Sisi has another reason to do this. She needs to stay closer to her mother now more than ever because beyond being a hero, she'll officially start to do Dora Milaje's jobs alongside Mandla after her graduation; doing missions for her kingdom too, serving to the throne from Japan.

So now both teens are supporting Amazon on an espionage mission, or the conclusion of it. They're next to a containers port, observing every cargo coming in and out of the city. Mandla is on the floor, keeping a close eye on the villains and the corrupted workers.

Meanwhile, Sisi and Katsuki - actually now, the provisional heroes Darklight and DYNMT (Dinamight) are her backup. Both are in different tall buildings nearby, watching every movement and reporting to her.

Darklight is using her quirk to keep Amazon updated about anything the suspects are doing inside walls and attentive to any odd movement near them. The villain created an improvised headquarters inside a container and is waiting for something.

Amazon has been following this group of smugglers for a while, and just when she got her recruits, they decided to act again. So the pro hero didn't have a choice other than take them with her.

This will be a great lesson to the students, the most serious field mission they participated in until now. Before they arrived at the place, Mandla was firm and clear about the dangers and the true situation, so all of them are focused, with the purpose fixed in their minds.

"Normal movement at your north, Amazon. Just clean workers from the last ship preparing to go away." Katsuki said on their comms, using binoculars to have a better look.

"Got it. What are they doing inside that headquarters, Darklight?"

"They're just playing cards, complaining about something, they're using a language I don't recognize, but are nervous."

"It must be the cargo, they're late. Stay alert, I'll update the police force. Don't act by yourselves, we need to get them in the act. This is an order!"

Both agreed with her, focusing on their individual missions. DYNMT's eyes never left the main street, suspecting all cars or trucks that got too close to the containers.

"There's a ship getting closer, it'll dock in 15 minutes more or less." Darklight said on the comms, already sensing something big arriving by the water.

"Captain True Man said that there's movement on the smugglers' hideout, a truck full of illegal cargo is coming. However, they'll only act when we do the same here. This needs to be precise and in sync. Get ready for my signal."

"Yes, Amazon!" they answered in sync.

DYNMT got to the edge of the roof he was in, ready to jump down into action, his stealth costume helping him to blend perfectly in his dark spot. From his position is possible to see the beautiful teen hero all in black just a few buildings away, crouching down on the edge, also ready to act. Both teens created those costumes specifically to use in missions like this one.

'Fuck, so damn sexy all in black...' shaking his head, he tried to keep his mind on the real matter, instead of the gorgeous girl.

As Darklight predicted, a big ship docked at the terminal. Immediately, the men inside the improvised headquarters walked out, talking with the workers of the ship.

"They're paying the workers and some walked inside." DYNMT warned.

"They're scouring the basement, checking if is safe, Amazon."

"Idiots, the danger is outside." Katsuki snorted.

"Don't let your guard down, if they're worried about the heroes, then it must have more of them securing the streets too. Attention!"

When the police notified the heroes that the truck is getting close to the perimeter, Darklight noticed some odd movement around the terminal.

"Amazon, DYNMT! More men are surrounding the area, all of them heavily armed!"

"You two, listen to me! We need to do this quickly and precisely. Darklight, be ready to stop every single villain in our perimeter. DYNMT, I'll need you with me as soon as I get to them, together we need to stop whoever is inside the ship!"

Ready to the action, they waited for her command.

In a few minutes, a huge truck with double trailers surged into their eyesight. All men inside the ship came to unload the cargo, also some of the workers. The tension is thick in the air, and all sides of this situation are aware.

But soon this atmosphere turned into one full of adrenaline when True Man authorized the heroes to act. With his okay, Darklight immediately forced all suspects outside the terminal to lie down, using all her power to restrain their quirks and attempts of using any guns.

Very hard thing to do to so many targets at the same time, but they need to keep the suspects alive and conscious to make a citizen's arrest and prove their involvement with the smugglers.

Using his explosions, DYNMT flew to Amazon, who was fighting inside the ship, landing on the ship by hitting a strong punch in a villain's face. They're putting up a fight, but none can handle the number of skills the duo has. It took a while, but they put everyone down.

It didn't take long for the police force to arrive and start to do the arrests. The big operation got all the city's attention, filling the place with a curious crowd and some reporters.

"Darklight, can you bring the suspects to True Man?"

"Yes, Amazon!" manipulating their bodies, she forced them to march to the cops, with eyes and mouths closed, just in case.

This mission practically stopped the neighborhood, with helicopters flying above them and reporters all over the place. Darklight had to manipulate the wind, something she's learning with Mandla on this internship, to carry her to the others.

"You two did a great job, now I see why you both are one of the bests in Yuei!" True Man said to the teens, greeting them with a handshake.

"Thank you, True Man, it means a lot your recognition." Darklight bowed at him, but DYNMT only nodded.

"Finally we got them, huh?" Amazon approached them, smirking in satisfaction. "They thought that by stopping for a couple of weeks it would fool us."

"Not knowing that they were being watched by you, the most stubborn hero ever." the man joked.

"When I start something I'll keep going until the success, you know me. Fail is nonexistent in my dictionary."

"For sure is... You have a tough mom, Darklight. That's why I'm not surprised by how powerful your quirk is. It would demand so much more of us without you holding them down."

"Yeah, I can imagine. As you can see, they had a huge arsenal, I was worried about missing someone and shooting beginning."

"Well, thanks to you this didn't happen. Also, DYNMT I can see you have learned a lot about close combat with Amazon, you did great too! You don't even have a scratch!"

"Thanks." he seems serious, but Sisi knows too well that he's hiding how proud and accomplished he's feeling now, just by seeing the corner of his lips twitching up a bit.

"The talking is good, but I still have a lot to do now. It'll take a time to interrogate all these guys."

"At least is certain that the damn leader will be in prison?!"

"For the rest of his life, DYNMT!"

Saying goodbye to the heroes, True Man returned to his work, helping his colleagues to handcuff and put everyone inside the paddy wagons.

"Fuck, I'm exhausted... We're on this for days!" the boy stretched, trying to relieve the tension in his muscles.

"Indeed~! Finally is over, can't wait to go to bed!" Sisi did the same, but both stopped hearing Mandla's laugh.

"Nuh, uh, uh~ Do you think is over? Look over there." their eyes followed to where she was pointing, both groaning in displeasure. "It's also a hero's job to talk with the press. Can I hear why?"

"To shut their crap." Katsuki answered rolling eyes.

"Nope, you're losing points here, sir DYNMT. Wanna try Darklight?"

"To reassure the citizens that everything is fine now..." the black girl sighed in annoyance. "But I want to go home... The cops can't do that?"

"Who's words will make them feel more at ease? Some random cop or a strong hero?"

Understanding her point, the trio walked closer to where the press is, that's being refrained by some cops, to keep them out of the crime scene.

When the journalists saw the heroes approaching, a wave of incoherent questions came to their ears. The teens decided to let Amazon deal with this big fuss and only observe everything to learn from it.

"Amazon! Amazon! Is this your daughter?"

"Yes. These two are my interns, the provisional heroes DYNMT and Darklight, both are the top of their class at Yuei High and also my pupils." she sounded so proud that they both blushed a bit.

"Why are they in here? Is this a training mission?"

"Actually no, it's a real mission that I was doing for a couple of months alongside True Man, having all support from the police force."

"Wow, once again you're keeping us safe from the shadows! What did you find in those containers, Mrs. Amazon?"

"This group of villains was fueling the illegal commerce, so it has a lot of counterfeit merchandise, like cigarettes, medications, food... Everything coming from a very doubtful origin, being a threat to the public safety."

"Did you manage to stop the whole organization or this is an isolated case?"

"After a three months investigation, we found where their base is located. Meanwhile we're talking, another team is in there with Pro Hero Hawks now, arresting the boss man behind all this."

With this information being exposed, the fuss started all over again, the reporters making calls, trying to contact others equips to also cover the mission happening on the other side of the city.

Taking notes about how Amazon dealt with the press, the teens followed her to the car, to finally rest. On their way back to Ashido's apartment, they bought some takeouts for the dinner.

After eating and taking a deserved bath, both were out cold in a minute, having a great night of rest.

As the sunrise, the next morning comes calmly over Musutafu city. However, Mandla didn't come to wake up the young couple early as always.

Sisipho was the one to notice this, being the first to wake up. So she freshen up and walked to the guest room, to get her sleepy boyfriend to awaken too.

The black girl opened his door slightly, poking her head inside, and was awed by seeing him all cuddle up on his bed.

Katsuki is in such a deep slumber that it crushed her heart to interrupt that, but by the smell coming from the kitchen, the family will have a great breakfast together today.

Closing the door and getting closer quietly, she slowly laid herself over him, covering his face with kisses.

"I can get used to this~" he said with his husky morning voice, hugging her waist and returning the kisses. "Now I want this all morning."

"You can have however you want, my boo~!" she giggled, both taking their time to exchange caresses and love as their good morning.

"Wait, what time it is?" he searched his phone, looking confused at the time. "Almost 9? Where's Mandla? Our training wasn't at 5 AM?"

"She's in the kitchen making us breakfast with utata. I think it's a reward because of yesterday."

"Ah~ thank God, I needed a long sleep... Indeed we did good yesterday."

"Yep, I saw you fighting against the villains, you didn't take one single hit, even with them being in a larger number. I'm so proud, my love."

"Thanks, doll. I just learned with the best!"

"Siiiimp~"

"Fuck you!" both chuckled.

After a few minutes of joking and kissing around, the couple walked out to the kitchen.

Mandla just had finished doing a typical Wakandan breakfast for her family, smiling big as she sees the young ones arriving, happy with their lovely affection towards each other.

"Ahh~ the young love... Morning loving birds!" Orion said teasing them, content in percept how much love and care are always surrounding them.

"Good morning, Mandla and Orion." Katsuki waved to them, sitting down on the table in the kitchen.

"Utata, you at home this late?!? What happened?" Sisi asked, hugging and kissing her parents.

"Nothing, just taking my time to enjoy my family more. Also, I want to have at least a breakfast with my son-in-law on this special week, before things get back to normal." Katsuki felt warm inside from his sincere words.

"Or back to the boringness, you mean." Mandla told, serving the last dish and sitting with them. "The house isn't the same without you here, intomba!"

"Aw~ I miss you two a lot, but try to think of this as another honeymoon, so you two can spend some quality time together and do more couple things instead of only working."

"Oh, don't worry, I'm enjoying very much indeed." the woman winked, making her husband get flushed.

"My dear, don't say that in front of the kids..."

"Yeah, don't say that, umama. I really DON'T need to hear that so early in the morning." Sisipho cringed at them with Katsuki.

"Don't be shy, how do you think we'll give you a sibling?!" the older couple snorted loudly seeing both teens choking on their drinks.

"SIBLING?! REALLY? FOR REAL? NO WAY!!" Sisi asked enthusiastically, bouncing on her seat. Katsuki didn't expect this reaction at all.

"Are you two fucking serious?!" Katsuki is shocked.

"Well, not that we're planning or anything, but if it came..." Orion smiled, daydreaming about it already.

"I always wanted to have at least five kids, just like my umama, all running around the house and making a mess. But life got a bit hard when Sisi came, I got too busy with my Wakandan duties and Orion with the company..."

"In summary, our wish got forgotten, crushed under a lot of responsibilities."

"However, since our intomba moved away, we talked and saw that it won't hurt to try."

"But you two are old as fuck." Katsuki cringed again.

"Hey! I'll get you for this later on our training, boy! But just for your information, I'm only 35 years old and Orion is 37!"

"REALLY?!" both nodded and Sisi laughed at his face. "Ew, you two had Sisi so fucking young!"

"What can I say? That's what a Wakandan do to you, boy..." Orion sighed dreamily but immediately got into panic mode realizing what he just said. "BUT DON'T EVEN DREAM ABOUT DOING THE SAME, GOT IT?!!"

"YOU'RE THE ONE TELLING ME!?"

The two wakandans are laughing hard at their silly discussion, enjoying it. Between a lot of jokes and teases, the breakfast was long gone. Orion said goodbye to them and the trio finally started the routine of training.

Sisipho and Katsuki are eager to learn more with the so experienced pro hero.

After a long day of training, especially for Bakugou who got punished by Mandla due to his silly commentary, the duo is now sitting on the roof of Amazon's agency.

Eating some pizza, the couple is dangling their feet out off the edge. Both are just enjoying the view of the city meanwhile Mandla is having a meeting about a secret mission that both aren't allowed to know about it.

Probably something related to Wakanda.

"Why are you so damn quiet today, Choco?" Katsuki eyed the black girl, that's oddly silent all day, just eating her pizza. He's concerned about this.

"I'm thinking..." she said taking a deep breath.

"About what, babe?" he moved closer, hugging her sideways.

"Future... Our talking this morning with my parents got me thoughtful."

"What? Do you want a damn kid now?" Sisi wheezed hearing this, almost dropping her slice of pizza down. "Not that I'm against it, but we're too damn young for that shit!"

"Ow~ Kat, stop! W-We didn't even reach this level yet..." she said flushed, hiding her face in her hands.

"Yet, babe~" he smirked, kissing her neck. "I know, I'm just joking. Seriously now, what's in your mind?"

"I'm thinking about us... How it will be when we graduate? I want to know what you think about it."

"I dunno but I'm 100% sure of one thing: I'll follow you to any fucking where you go, forever."

"Even if I have to go back to Wakanda?"

"Even more so there! Sisi, I don't want to have a life where you aren't in it. It would be fucking boring!" she giggled by listening to this.

"You're so damn adorable, I can't!" grabbing his face, she kissed him hard.

"Only for you, doll." he said and kissed her back. "You'll be staying at Mandla's agency, right?!"

"Yeah, it's the official way of contacting Wakanda and receiving missions from the throne. As a Dora Milaje, all missions umama has come from here, almost like an embassy."

"And you'll be just the same since you're also one..."

"Yeah... What about you? Do you have anything in mind?"

"Do you think that a yellow guy like me has a chance in here?" his shy smile made her eyes go wide.

"By the gods, do you want to keep up with us?!"

"Why not? I studied Amazon's works, finished missions, etcetera and I got invested in everything I saw. Also, I enjoyed so damn much our mission of espionage yesterday!"

"Wow, I didn't know you're so into all of this... But you know that before all the action, umama spent months collecting information, right? Also, working on this type of mission will make it kinda hard for you to get to the top of the charts, my love. It's like working on the shadows. Are you sure?"

"So what?! I don't give a fuck! Harder doesn't mean impossible. If not here, where more can I fucking go? Endeavor? I would definitely kill him on my first day, that cocky son of a bitch. Hawks? I hate that chicken guy..."

"What about Best Jeanist?"

"No fucking way!! That guy gives me the creeps. I have a bad feeling that he would force me to do some shit and change all my style."

"Hm, you're right, he's exigent and a perfectionist. So... Are you planning on working here with us after graduating?" his heart melted seeing her hopeful golden eyes.

"I am, babe. I have no doubts that Mandla is the best hero to deal with me and the only one capable of helping me to be the best hero in this damn world! Mandla knows how to teach me, is firm and serious with my training, don't give a damn about my outbursts. And also... I respect her a lot and look up to her, I believe this is the reason for us getting so well together, always."

"Siiiiiiimp~" Katsuki groaned at her provocation, poking on her sides, making the girl chuckle. "Okay, okay, I get it~ I just didn't expect..."

"I just wanna work with someone I trust and for sure we have a good sync together, y'know?! I don't give a damn if this will be harder to reach the top, I'll be the strongest hero no matter what the shit charts say!"

"Wow, this is so mature of you, babe... But confess already that you just want to be close to me~!"

"And still has this benefit! I'll have you by my side always! What else can I ask?!"

"You're a simp, Katsuki Bakugou."

"For you, I'm everything, Sisipho Mbeki Ashido. Love you."

"Love you too, my boo~!" she just adores how cutely he pronounces her middle name.

As the sun sets on the horizon, the young couple continued to express their love, making plans for the future, as each day gets closer.

No promises, no. Any of them want vague words being thrown at the wind, they want to plan and act to reach the goal.

The biggest goal is to stay happy together. Always.
