Chapter 3- Ryuugaime Clan

It was another sunny and beautiful day in Konoha when team Tanaka arrived. It was a successful mission, everyone came back alive with only a few scratches. There were 8 of them who were deployed to annihilate the Ryuugaime clan.

It was a suicide mission, none of them were expected to come back alive, but they manage to with the help of Kyuuji and a certain someone. When they arrive at the gates, the guards together with the other shinobis passively waiting for them can't help but choke on their own saliva.

The Hokage was standing under the shade of the tall gate. He was shocked as well but did not take any actions to show it. He was right about choosing and trusting Kyuuji to be a part of their mission. After all, he was on par with Uchiha Itachi. He smiled, everyone smiled and rejoiced with tears brimming in their happy eyes.

A man wearing green spandex was jumping in joy together with a man who has a bandana covering his top head with a senbon sticking out on his teeth. It was actually 2 months after the Uchiha clan was massacred, their faces today contorted what they felt when they received the news about the great clan back then.

They were actually happy some people died. Well, they were not just some people, they were lunatics and psychos who kills others for their own benefit, moreover, they initiated numerous wars before, but that's what these people only know about them.

"Kakashi!", Guy can't help but jump to his tired friend for a hug.

"Oi, Guy!"

Kakashi responded with an unamused face. Guy shook him everywhere his body.

"Is your body alright? What about your ankles? Your shoulders? Your arms? Do you need anything? Help? Medications? Wha--"

Before Guy even continued his rambling, Kakashi stopped him and averted his eyes to the youngest one on the team.

"I believe he needs more help than I do."

Guy followed Kakashi's darted eyes to see Kyuuji with a solemn face. Although, most of the shinobis were smiling and praising him Kyuuji can't help the fact that he is sad and Guy was able to observe that.

Kurenai together with Asuma went to where Kakashi and Guy are standing to join in the conversation.

"Even now, I still can't believe that kid would be able to land that last blow."

Kakashi and Kurenai looked at Asuma with a knowing look. That last blow was towards the youngest of the clan.

"That child was innocent.", Kurenai whispered as she clutch her injured arm bandaged by the same girl they were talking about. "She was so pure and kind. She did not deserve any of this."

Asuma gently placed his hand on top of the Chunin's shoulder. "It's not your fault, don't blame yourself Kurenai." Kurenai was only able to nod her head with a small smile.

Kakashi, however, was remembering the face of the small face of the child when he killed her mother. He already saw many faces like that before but, he doesn't understand why that face filled with agony remained fresh in his mind. Maybe it was because that girl reminded him of Rin.

Guy was only able to express a series of idiotic faces as he stare at them. This was when Tanaka appeared in front of them.

"Get your wounds treated and meet me at the Hokage's office, we still have a lot of things to finish and talk about."

"Yes sir", the three of them simultaneously answered.

"Looks like I won't be able to challenge you today, Kakashi", Guy exclaimed as he slump on the ground. Kakashi only showed his closed-eyed smile. His eyes then narrowed towards the ANBU talking to Tenzou. He is sure Danzo have other motives when he assigned his best elites to the mission.

And he was also questioning why Kyuuji killed the girl when the two of them originally planned to spare her and let her live in Konoha.

'Was it because of Danzo? Was he planning on recruiting the girl to be a member of the ANBU Black Ops and Kyuuji was aware of this?'

He clutched his head in frustration and remembered the powerful aura he felt that night.

'Who was it?'

He was broken out of his thought when Guy carried him suddenly and dashed towards the hospital leaving Kurenai and Asuma on their own.

Inside the Academy

The children were happily eating their snacks during breaktime when a certain student came barging into his class.

"Hey! I have some news!", a brown-haired boy exclaimed too excited to share it with them. Some of them look at him annoyed and others are bored then avert their gazes back to their food.

"Oi, Kenma! Where were you? You were absent this morning, Iruka-sensei thought you were not gonna come to class.", one of his friends said reminding him then continued chewing onto the Dango.

"Well, I had some errands, but most importantly I heard very interesting news. I'm sure you all are hype to hear it."

No one spared him a glance as everyone was busy eating and chatting with their friends. Irritated he slammed the teacher's table and announced

"The Ryuugaime clan was annihilated 3 days ago."

This time everyone was shocked and stared at him even the emo Uchiha had his interest piqued, the silence lingered in the air before he was bombarded with questions.

"For real?!"

"Those powerful bad guys were defeated?!"

"Eh?!"

"Where did you hear it?!"

"There's no way the Ryuugaime clan has been defeated, they had been standing mighty and strong for the past centuries even the First hokage could not defeat all of them.", Sakura said boasting to everyone about her knowledge.

"Yeah, yeah he's surely lying for attention"

"W-wait guys, I th-think Kenma-kun has so-something e-else to say.", Hinata, the shyest in the class said to calm everyone.

Kenma had his nose and head raise, waiting arrogantly for everyone to stay silent.

"Thank you, Hyuuga-san.", Hinata blush a little but it soon faded away.

"Now, let me explain, but first of all to clarify things I'm not lying. I heard it from a Kunoichi when I was passing by near the gate. Almost every Leaf shinobi was there they were escorting the ninjas who were sent to the mission to the hospital. And one more thing, a powerful Ryuugaime helps them, he's now the last surviving member of that clan. I heard he was already granted the title of a Jounin and a civilian of Konoha. It's up to you if you don't want to believe it."

More questions were asked and he ignored them proud that he is gaining a lot of attention. That was when a certain blonde jump to the window and proclaimed the same thing.

"Hey I have some news, the Ryuugaime clan was--"

But before he could finish his sentence one of Kenma's friends interfered.

"If you're gonna tell us about the Ryuugaime clan we are already aware of it.", he said bored before he talked with his friends again. The boy slumped his shoulders.

"Let the loser be", then a series of laughter erupted. Naruto was about to pick a fight when Iruka entered the classroom.

"Alright everyone, back to your seats."

Everyone immediately shuffled to their seats when a certain pink-haired girl raised her hand.

"Yes, Sakura?"

"Sensei, is it true that a Ryuugaime helped in the annihilation of his own clan?"

Everyone has their attention on their smiling teacher even Naruto.

"News travels fast eh, Actually, we are going to add that topic in our history subject and we are going to discuss that today and for the next few years. So if you want to know you better listen, alright?"

The class erupted with groans and mutters of troublesome, but they listened anyway.

Truth be told, the Ryuugaime clan was famous around the globe. They were known for containing massive chakra comparable to the Uzumaki clan and they could master any Jutsu 10x faster than average.

Moreover, they have a Kekkei Genkai called 'Seiryuugan'. During the battle, Seiryuugan could amplify anyone's chakra storage to the maximum although it was still unknown to the world how it works, the largest number of people it could amplify recorded in history is one thousand, it was during the First Great Shinobi War. It was the female Clan leader, who stood toe to toe against the famously known God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju.

They invented most of the powerful Jutsu techniques shinobis marked Forbidden to use. There was also a history when a single Ryuugaime managed to destroy the Sand Village, which led to their struggle in finances and water they are still facing today.

There were also some theories that the Seiryuugan could stop time, but no one ever managed to witness it and tell the tale. Different people from different lands craved for the power of the Seiryuugan, so they planned to kidnap a girl to force the female to bear a child and use the child as a weapon. It was then initiated a few years later, but they lost a considerable number of troops in exchange for a single girl.

All their hard work and sacrifices did not go to waste when the Ryuugaime girl at the young age of 15 gave birth to a boy. They took the child away from her mother's arms the moment he was born. They raised him using different cruel methods just to pull out his Kekkei Genkai.

It was all futile when the boy did not show any sign of awakening the Seiryuugan. They tried everything they could think of, but none did not work. It was then said that half-blood could not wield the Kekkei Genkai. 2 members from the clan, came to the said land to retrieve the girl taken away from them and the new member sharing their blood. They destroyed the whole land and killed everyone not sparing a single soul.

After that, no one dared to kidnap a Ryuugaime again all except for a Snake Sannin. He tried once, but came back empty-handed and wounded all over. If it was not for his experiments he could have died in the process.

People don't know how to defeat them until now. The news that a group of Leaf shinobi with the help of another Ryuugaime was able to eradicate the entire clan spread like a wildfire in all countries especially the Great 5 Nations.

They were all in disbelief, it was not that easy to just trust the news. It's impossible that the great Ryuugaime clan was wiped out on a single night, but with the help of another Ryuugaime, it could be possible. Why did not they think of this strategy before?

Pieces of broken glasses were spread out inside a dark laboratory. The Snake sannin was furious as he threw another glass. He can't believe it. They were gone, actually gone forever, only a single member remained Ryuugaime Kyuuji.

"Impossible, Damn It!", Orochimaru hissed where his most trusted man could only stare at him. "I was this close! Just a bit more time and I would have gained the Seiryuugan!"

"Lord Orochimaru please calm down, there is still a living Ryuugaime if we play our cards well you could possess his body."

Orochimaru looked at Kabuto like he was an idiot.

"It's futile, that boy is a half-blood."

Kabuto's eyes widened in shock. He knows that half-bloods could not awaken the Seiryuugan.

"Then, does this mean that Seiryugan is gone forever...?"

"This is all because of Sarutobi Hiruzen!", Orochimaru slammed his hands on his table as his nails dig deep into the wooden furniture leaving small marks.

"HIRUZEN! You will PAY!"
